Victoria Palace Hotel

We just returned from a delightful stay at the Victoria Palace. Celebrating my mother's 80th birthday, we wanted something elegant, friendly and convenient. The thought was to stay on the Left Bank so that after a full day of touring, we could just step out into the neighborhood for dinners. The Victoria Palace was excellent in all these ways. My wife and I spent 6 nights at the VPH May 15-20 2005. We could not have been more pleased! The hotel is beautiful, the staff friendly and English speaking. We stayed in a junior suite. It was spacious, beautifully decorated and immaculate. The bathroom was large by some hotel standards, marble and extremely clean. It was very quiet. The breakfast was very nice with cereal, pastries, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, assorted cold meats and cheeses as well as fruit and juices. It was served in a lovely room. Just back from our first trip to Paris. The good reviews of Victoria Palace are so true. The location, the service, the breakfast, the large rooms and opulent bathrooms - all were just right. This hotel is in the St. Germain area but tucked on a side street, so the street noise is no problem at all. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. I really felt pampered and appreciated the size of the room and the helpful weather forecast left by housekeeping each night when the bed was turned down. This is really a four-star hotel.

We stayed at the Victoria Palace during "US Spring Break". I don't think we could have picked a better hotel in all of Paris. We researched a number of locations and can truthfully state that all you see on Trip Advisor is accurate. We had absolutely no problems.... the staff was wonderful Marc, Laura, etc. could not have been more accomodating........ and the recommended local resturants were GREAT. Would (second thought - will) stay at the Victoria Palace on our next visit.

My wife and I just returned from a ten night stay at the Victoria Palace Hotel in Paris from May 1-11, 2005. We had a junior suite on the courtyard side of the hotel. This is an outstanding hotel in every criteria. The room was beautiful, spacious and comfortable with every amenity you would need. We especially enjoyed how quiet the room was. Our room included the breakfast buffet every morning from 7:00am-10:00am. The buffet was also excellent with eggs, bacon, sausage, cereals, juice etc. The real strength of this hotel is its staff.... more

I returned on March 18 from a week at the Victoria Palace and concur that this is a great hotel in Paris. My stay there was part of a United Vacations package--which implied to me that we would not get the top rooms. We had a standard deluxe room which was very large and very, very quiet with a large bathroom. The staff was indeed very helpful and while the decor is not to my taste -- too frilly-- the overall effect was very pleasant. I just left the Victoria Palace in Paris, and between the beautiful décor and prompt, friendly service, one cannot go wrong. If you wish to stay in the Montparnasse, Saint- Germain-des-Pres area in the left bank, this location is the place to be. Beside the wonderful rooms, gorgeous deep marble bathtubs, buffet breakfast, and relaxing bar and lounge area, the front desk makes one feel right at home. This was my first trip to Paris, and we picked this hotel based on the comments from Tripadisor. We were there Jan 31 for 4 nights. We had six adults, three rooms. We all had Deluxe Rooms. Thier "traditional dedication to friendly and attentive service" was great. Thanks to Muriel, Mark, and the others at the front desk -- they made reservations for dinner, got us train tickets to Chateauroux (where I was born 41 years ago) and transportation to the airport. We just returned from Paris and stayed at this hotel for two nights. They could not have been more accomodating. Great restaurant recommendations, big, beautiful room, quiet location, easy to get around. It was fantastic. The buffet breakfast each morning was excellent, lots of good food and good chaud chocolate, bathrooms were large and well appointed, we never heard anyone else when we were in our room. We stayed in one of the junior suites for a long weekend and just cannot fault this hotel or its staff in any way. The room was gorgeous, very spacious and well equipped. The service was excellent, with very helpful and friendly staff. Lots of nice touches - bathrobes and slipppers, lots of fab goodies in the mini bar and weather report for the following day on your pillow every evening, along with chocolate! Great location, within easy walking distance of lots of lovely restaurants. Would definitely return.
