Royal St Honore Hotel

We recently returned from a week in Paris. It was a spur of the moment trip ( 3 weeks before leaving) and I relied upon the reviews on this website to choose the hotel. We have been disappointed in the past to discover hotels don't even resemble their photo, but not so with the Hotel St. Honore. Our room was very small, but beautiful. I took my 12 year old granddaughter for her first trip to Paris and am so happy I chose this hotel (mostly based on the great reviews). Everyone who works there is very, very friendly, caring with good senses of humor. Some have mentioned the rooms being tiny. Our room was just fine for the two of us. I once stayed in one half the size on Rue Daphine in the 6th so I was pleasantly surprised at how big our room actually was. An added plus was the safety and security issue of having to use one's room card to activate the elevator. I hope... more

We stayed at the Hotel Royal Saint Honore with our 2 young boys (ages 5 and 3) in March 07 and would highly recommend to anyone. We booked the suite/apartment, so had 1 double room with bathroom which had separate lounge area which had 2 sofa beds in and its own shower room. The double room was larger than expected in Paris. Rooms were very clean, comfortable beds, security was good (swipe card access for lifts & rooms). My wife and I loved our stay at Royal St Honore. Initially, we thought our room a little small; no problem, immediately rectified. This typified our stay; nothing too much trouble, staff ever friendly. Another good example; we wanted to spend a day in the champagne distrivt, but had trouble getting on a tour (one full, another cancelled due to insufficient nmbers !). Our family of five stayed here in January and had a fantastic stay. The rooms/bathrooms were clean and comfortable. All the staff from the breakfast waiters to the concierge/front desk were very helpful and polite. The hotel's location is a big bonus and it was a great place to return too after a hard day out in Paris. The only criticsm we had was that the airconditioning was difficult to control and the rooms were too warm for us. Maybe something to do with the extremely mild weather we had. The hotel was ideally located to all the sites we wanted to visit. It was walking distance from Louvre, Notre Dame, Concorde, Orsey and so many other places. It is a block away from the Metro and 5 minutes away from the closest RER station. It also has free Wi-Fi so you can keep in touch with folks back home. I also liked the fact that it had a safe in the room. Room was a little small, but that is par for the course in Paris. Friendly staff that speaks English. Tons of bakeries and restaurants close by. Just returned from an excellent couple of days at this hotel. We've recently stayed at the Pavillon de la Reine and honestly thought the Royal St Honore better. The room, on the fifth floor, was a good size for Paris with excellent marble bathroom and a wonderful firm bed (which might annoy some, but pleased me and my wife). Other plus points were excellent service, a fun cafe/bar on site, nice breakfasts, and the wonderful location. Consistantly reliable hotel with courteous staff and good facilities. Only breakfast served in restaurant, but room service light snacks available. Lots of restaurants closeby. Comfortable bar. Some rooms are small and closets can be on the small side. Bear this in mind when staying with a lot of luggage. Reasonable pricing for this fashionable area of the city. Close to Louvre, Opera, Notre Dame. Harry's Bar and the excellent Carr's Irish Pub.

The location of this hotel is wonderful. Easy walk to major sites, Louvre, shopping, etc. Rooms are tiny but beautifully furnished. Bathrooms are modern with showers and small vanity. Even had shower curtain! Front desk staff was very responsive and helpful. Breakfast buffet (with scrambled eggs and sausage) was included and served in pretty dining area. If you come for visiting this hotel is in the best place in Paris. The location is close to the most important attractions and the quarter is quiet in day time and in the night: central and convenient. Rooms are in general confortable and the staff is very very helpful...if you need any suggestion just ask! Overall a good hotel and I'd like to go back there next time!
