When we phoned we were told that the Hotel was in the city centre which was vitally important to us. We were clearly misinformed as the Hilton was in District 8 which is a dull and dead area of Prague. It took us 18 minutes steady walk to the tourist area and even worse as there were no decent restaurants locally we had to return to centre again in the evening.
We could have eaten in the hotel restaurant but prices were sky high and you needed to take out a second mortgage to eat there. The rooms themselves were the high quality you would expect with the Hilton brand and this is obviously the main reason for its high classification.
The hotel is very large, modern, and characterless and a good percentage of the clientele are business guests. To crown our disappointment one evening we asked the hotel to call us a taxi and we were unaware (and the hotel did not advise us) of the poor reputation the taxi drivers had for overcharging, we grossly overpaid for a short journey about £20 when we were told £6 maximum. We had to pay or risk missing the opera for which we had booked.
This poor experience left a nasty taste on our mouths. The staff seemed to be on auto pilot and lacked any friendly or helpful interaction with the guests. The rooms were wonderful everything else poor to awful.
Next time we will a hotel in the city centre of the wonderful city of Prague.

The Hilton is located in an uninspiring area which is an 18 minute walk from the tourist sights. We came on a sightseeing holiday and were disappointed with the hotels position. The rooms are wonderful and the breakfast nice although the bar prices were very very expensive. For us we thought the hotel was vastly overpriced and is better for business travellers than tourists. We found the staff to be ultra efficient and professional but they had a false approach to the guests. We have marked down partially because we were not happy with the area and distance from the centre the hotel was situated.

Great City. Loads to do. Very Hot in the summer, but hear it can get very cold in the winter.
Loads and loads of restaurants. Loads of bars. Architecture lovely. People friendly.
Easy to use public transport, so don’t be scared to use the bus and metro from the airport to get to the city centre. Guaranteed to have a good time.

We went for our honeymoon.
The hotel is fantastic, I emailed them prior to going and informed them that it was our honeymoon and we were given a room upgrade with slippers and a robe! Our room faced the river and the city which was lovely. We had been in the room for an hour and a bottle of bubbly and pastries arrived with a lovely card congratulating us.
The breakfasts are wonderful, self service and lot’s of it.
The hotel is about 10minutes walk to the main square but it is a very pleasant walk with lots of reasonably priced and varied bars and restaurants along the way.
The drinks in the hotel are pricey, £5 for a cocktail.
The spa is nice, but you have to be naked to go into the sauna or steam room-not my scene!
At the time we were there, there was building work going on, on upper floors and down at the spa. We had been informed about this via a letter.
I would definitely recommend this hotel. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly.

Hotel is a 10 minute walk from the old and new town, but there is an underground a few minutes walk from the hotel, which is very cheap (recommend).
The hotel is very modern, the staff are very polite and helpful. We were warned not to eat at the hotel though as it is very expensive.
The drinks at the bar were also quite expensive.
The hotel was well decorated and had excellent spa facilities.
I would return to the Hilton Prague.

The booking was a pain as they only take your credit card as a reserve and I wanted to pay up front I had a lot of arguments about this before I went. Eventually I spoke to the manager who was lovely and upgraded us to the executive lounge for the trouble. The hotel was wonderful when we got there and the staff were amazing, we ate in the hotel one night this was included in the package and the food was delightful. I highly recommend this hotel.

A fantastic hotel all around. The decor of the main reception area is very modern and striking, the skylight being the most impressive part.
Our room was very clean and had everything you could want for a standard couple, including a good size bath and plasma TV.
The breakfast was probably the best part of our stay, by far the best quality and quantity we have experienced in any European hotel.
The only downside is the location-it is not very central, but a cab will get you to the centre in about 10 minutes and is not very expensive (5 pounds approx).
