Parisiana Hotel

Great location, 10 minutes from Gare Du Nord, rooms were a fair size and for the price, good value. Property is showing its age a little with flaky paint work and worn carpets, but clean and comfortable.

Where to start? - Shabby beyond belief, flaky paint, mould, dirt, cracked and urine-stained pipes, blood on the bedspread, no shower fitting, cracked architrave, sticky and dirty and stained carpets, limescale on the tiled floors, dirty toilet seat, ripped, shredded and threadbare towels, dirty ceilings and all in a really unsafe area. Oh, and a really basic breakfast. We have never stayed anywhere so terrible. Apologies for the one star rating but they wouldn't give me the option of zero stars for this review. In a word - Appalling

The hotel is situated very close to the Metro and the buses at "gare de l'est" so that you can reach all sites in a short time. The room was clean and very calm (we took a room facing the courtyard) and even had a TV. For breakfast they served croissants and baguette with honey, jam and butter but as well cheese and cereals. Orange juce, coffee, tee and chocolate were served as well. I would say that it si very good value for the money you pay. Would return there again!

This is a decent value since a family room goes for 79 euros at this hotel. It's a 15 minute walk from the Gare du Nord, which makes it conveniently located. Also it's a short walk from 2 Metro stations. The hotel room was large and the bathroom looked like it had recently been redone. Everything was clean. Our room was a little noisy since it faced the street. Petit dejeuner (breakfast) is an additional 6 euros each and is decent, however there is a yummy patisserie across the street. We would stay in this hotel again for a number of reasons...the location is tremendous for tourists arriving from the airport being very handy to both Gare du L'Est and du Nord, and situated right between two Metro stations. The immediate neighbourhood I would describe as "Local" rather than "Tourist" so a fascinating insight into day to day life of "real" Parisians is possible. We have just returned from Paris we booked the Parisiana Hotel because we thought it looked like it was a nice hotel, how wrong we were. The decor was dirty, paint flaking off the ceilings, no shower, mould everywhere. When we got out of bed we put socks on so as not to touch the floor! Overall I would say it was the dirtiest place I have ever stayed. And to add insult to injury when we were checking in they were selling postcards of the hotel which looked very different to what it was really like.

Great value, great location, great staff. I booked this hotel purely on the strength of previous guests comments and was extremely pleased. Had a room overlooking the courtyard and spent many relaxing hours out there as it was so tranquil. Breakfast was slightly disappointing as the buffet consisted only of bread/croissants/jams apples/apple compote tea/coffee/orange juice. Room and bathroom were large and clean, ours overlooked the courtyard, so it was also quiet. We even got the non-smoking room we requested. Nice location close to trains, plenty of restaurants and walking distance to Sacre Coeur and Montmartre Cemetery (but if crowds are a problem you may not like the neighborhood). Staff friendly and helpful, and a great breakfast spread. Very good value.

Stayed here in may 2004 Staff very friendly, rooms not too big, clean and breakfast very good as well (not always the case in paris) Close to gare du nord and gare de l'est so if you come by train very nicely located Not too much to see in the surroundings however., but louvre, champs elysees, montmartre, ... only a short subway ride away Subway trains can be heard every x minutes up till 1 am, but you get used to it

I've stayed here several times and every time I go back to Paris I'll be booking in again. It is really handy to the centre of Paris and only a few minutes walk away from bus and rail links. The area looks a bit dodgy but its fine. There are some pretty good cheap restaurants around too. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are ample size and are clean but basic - Mine had a small bathroom with a toilet and bath with a shower over it a double bed and a single and a TV.
