Novotel Paris Vaugirard Hotel

Spent three nights at the Vaugirard and found it to be friendly , clean and well appointed .The staff are friendly , the location is within two minutes of a Metro station , although I prefer to walk .About 20 minutes on foot to the Eiffel Tower The breakfast was ok , the service at the bar was polite , sometimes a little slower than what I am used to but , hey it`s a holiday I would definetly recommend this hotel to anyone

my husband and i just got back from paris and we stayed in this hotel. i like the place but when we got there, they are having some kind of refurbishing on the lounge. so you wouldnt really appreciate it when you get in. the receptionists were quite nice as they also speak english and accomodating. the room is nice size and the bathroom is great. the only complain i can say is when we are on our 2nd night,we can hear some work/ building done on the floor on top of us. we are on the 3rd floor. so i would thought its on the fourth.its nearly... more

We stayed at Novotel Vaugirard past November 2005 in a group of friends trip, as this was our last nights in Europe, we decided to be hosted in a good hotel - and it was one of the best ones!! This hotel rescued our trip from being a disaster. We had stayed (reluctantly) 2 nights in Hotel Monclair Montmartre (AWFUL!!) before packing up and moving to this Novotel. It was clean, the rooms were very large with king size beds that were toooooo comfortable! Each room had a sofa and desk in it too. The bathrooms were gorgeous and clean. The lobby has a very impressive grandeur about it. Good location with quick links.

Have just returned from short break to Novotel Vaugirard, Paris complete with 2 children (7 and 10). Novotel Vaugirard provided a very good base for exploring Paris with children, being situated in a good residential area within yards of the Metro and with plenty of nearby restuarants and bars that were more than happy to provide cheese and tomato pizza and plain pasta (pate au nature) for picky children. I stayed here in April 2005 and was pleasantly surprised. It was close enough to not be out of the way but far enough from the sites to not merit the price tag of a more centrally located hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel. The metro stop Vaugirard (I believe it's the green line) is a few steps from the hotel. This takes you to all of the sites and the hotel gave us a very useful map of the metro and the staff told us which metro stop to get off at for each site we were interested in. I stayed here for 3 nights on a business trip. The rooms were good, spotless. The location was excellent for me. I did not eat here as my breakfast was not included in the price and didn't feel the need to spend 13 euros, as all I wanted was a croissant and a juice. I found the staff at the front desk to be a little be unfriendly. When I checked out the person was the on the phone to someone else and didn't even say thanks when I handed over my payment. Just returned from 3 night stay at this hotel with my husband and 5 year old son. Would definitely recommend staying here if you have children as the staff were very good and in reception they have a small play area with a playstation 2 and a lego table for younger ones. The rooms were very clean and appeared to have been very recently renovated. My husband and I spent four nights here in Feb 2005, we booked it through American Airlines vacations. We upgraded to a superior room and it appeared to have been recently renovated, it was small but had a sofa and king bed. Separate toilet room and shower/bath. CNN and MTV are about the only English language stations on the TV. I laugh at the reviews about a balcony -- mostly just an iron grate outside the window. My wife and I just spent a week in this hotel. Our (double room street side) was very nice and we could see the Eiffel Tower out our windows or off our private balcony. The Metro was just down the street, however we chose to walk mostly. It was ~30 minutes to the Luxembourg Gardens ( very nice to sit and relax) and an extra 15 mins to the left bank neighborhoods. The Eiffel Tower was ~ 15 mins away. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and saved time and $ every day. Would advise bringing a cork screw so you can enjoy the wines , there... more
