This hotel is very centrally located and easily accessible by metro from Gare du Nord (2 stops). It is 5 mins walk to La Louvre where you can pick up city tour buses which are very frequent.
The hotel was the best I could find to book online that would offer rooms for families as most other hotels will only allow you to book for 2 persons with children subject to space per adult. We were 3 adults and 5 kids and had ample space in the rooms to accommodate. Breakfast was free for kids.
The staff were very nice and they have their own tourist info bureau. It was ideal and in a great location, also 3 min walk from Georges Pompidou centre, 10min walk from Notre Dame, and all other main attractions.

Hi - We stayed for 4 nights at the Novotel Les Halles through an internet company www.francemadeeasy.com in September 08 when Paris was extremely busy with the fashion salons and motorshow.
The hotel is very modern, extremely comfortable and the staff were most helpful people. The hotel is ideally situated for touring Paris and I would highly recommend it. Our tour company, France Made Easy gave us their insider information guide to Paris they had written and this gave us great tips we would not have found in guide books - eg where we could find that "little black designer dress" for that special occasion. They also arranged for us to have wine tastings in a 16th century wine cellar! That was fun and this we discovered is where Ernest Hemingway bought his wines. We also were given as part of our 4 night package, tickets for Jacquemart Andre Museum, 2 day tickets for the open top bus and 10% off our shopping at Printemps as VIPs. That all was neat and Walt and I will certainly come back again through this company who were very thorough and helpful.
