Duo Hotel

Hotel was clean enough but our room was horrendous, not even a kettle or curtains on the window. After complaining we were reluctantly moved on the evening of our 2nd night, we were only there for 3 nights! It seemed every time we were in the vicinity of the reception area there were customers complaining! The restaurants are not good either, not a lot of choice and the food was very greasy. Service was terrible in restaurants, as soon as you put your cutlery down they were clearing it away, we couldn’t believe this.
We found everything very expensive and overpriced, e.g. they wanted £100 for a small crystal souvenier of the castle. We did not find anyone helpful at all and found that they would tell you anything just to make a sale!
They do not cater for English speaking tourists at all, they are quick to take our money but none of the tourist attractions have notices in English therefore you pay to enter the castle for instance, but have no idea what you are looking at, although most of the rooms were empty anyway. All in all it was a complete rip off, you even had to pay to use the bathroom even when in a restaurant or cafe most of the time.
The only good thing about Prague is their Metro but I certainly wouldn’t recommend visiting this city to anyone.
To top off our holiday we were delayed due to the weather at the airport for over 12 hours. Whilst we accept the weather is uncontrollable we were not kept informed and when you asked were given conflicting information. The airport service was atrocious to say the least and I would not fly with globespan ever again either. We were checked in 4 hours late and then left in the departure lounge without any further information for a further 6 hours! In this day and age that is just not acceptable.
Prague is not a city I would recommend, Hotel Duo was okay and Globespan is not an airline I would recommend either.
