Des Tuileries Hotel

This hotel is small but in a great location just a short street away from the Tuileries gardens and the Louvre. Walking from the hotel entrance to the nearest metro station you pass all the 'typical' French shops - a bar where people outside resting their wine on a large beer keg, very expensive clothes boutiques, cheese shops, a fish mongers.
And on the corner a brasserie with the classic French waiter carrying croissants and hot coffee. The hotel staff are really helpful and speak good English.
