De Nemours Hotel

I found the Hotel Nemours to be a great value. It has good location, only about 2 minutes from Parmentier metro station, and 5 minutes from Oberkampf, the staff are extremely helpful, and it's not very expensive. The bathroom was good, the beds were a big light, but adequate, and you get a small fridge and television. It's no 5 star hotel, but if you're looking for a comfortable place to sleep in a good location, then Hotel Nemours fits the bill.

It may not be a Hilton but this hotel was by far one of the best I have stayed in in a long time. Yes the decor was pretty 80's and the rooms were basic, but the staff were the friendliest I have ever come across and the rooms had everything I needed. If you have any problem whether it big or small the staff will do their best to sort it for you. You don't get the personal treatment that you recieve at the hotel nemours in any 5* hotel and for that I would much rather stay in a 2* hotel with that service that makes you feel like you're the... more

hotel basic basic basic, breakfast bland, lift stiffling!! clean, nowhere to apply make up, no plug socket near mirror,felt claustrophobic hated everyminute of paris couldnt wait to go home

I have stayed at Nemours twice now in October 2003 with my wife and 6 year old son and in May 2004 with my 65 year old father. The price of the hotel makes NEMOURS one of the cheapest you will find it is located in a quiet street with a well equipped supermarket opposite. You are only a few minutes walk away from the nearest metro and only one stop away from the large metro of Republique. The staff are so friendly and always willing to help. This is an excellent hotel. Its very well priced, clean and comfortable. The staff are very very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is tea/coffee and croissants and bread rolls. We would defintley return.I have read some bad reviews of this hotel and found them to be unfair-perhaps these people should not have four or five star expectations when they are only paying two star prices!

We stayed here for 3 nights and although the staff were very friendly and the location good the room was tiny and the tatty. The hot and cold water taps were the wrong way around so I nearly scalded my hand while brushing my teeth. Also when I took a shower it flooded the bathroom. The walls where paper thin and we could hear every movement on the room either side. Well,I stayed at Nemours for 4 nights from 3july2004.Location was great ,very close to parmentier metro,quiet street but neighbourhood does have some pleasant cafe n bars.Check out European bar(5min walk nearby),interesting atmosphere.The room was well ventilated though no aircon.Clean room n friendly n helpful receptionist.Breakfast was just cafe n croissant.

The location of this hotel is great, 2 mins from Parmentier metro. We've stayed in several 2* Parisian hotels but this is the most basic yet encountered. The staff were helpful and friendly, altho that doesn't make up for some of the rooms. DO NOT stay in Room 65. We had to request a move from this grimy, tatty, tiny boxroom, completely unacceptable for 3 nights in Paris. We had 2 good nights in Room 65, much better and with windows opening onto interior courtyard. The last night was spent in Room 23, not much better than 63.... more

We spent two nights in this hotel the weekend before valentines 2004. It is very basic but the staff are very friendly and helpful. However, there was damp in the bathroom, but we were on 4th floor and I think that they were painting and refurbishing but had only made it up to the 3rd floor! Otherwise though it was fine, close to a few pubs and eateries, is cleaned every day and you can get more pillows if you ask. Basic hotel, which is what we expected because price was excellent. Room basic, maybe could do with a refurb but clean & tidy, nice sheets & towels etc. Location was good, quick link by metro to all major sites. Above all staff were very friendly. Couldn't really ask for more for the price. If you want a hotel in Paris just as a base to sleep, this is the one. i've rated it as average in case some people expect more but it is above average/excellent on price.
