Everything we needed.
from sae
Stayed here for 6 nights in March 2006. Small clean room with nice size bathroom and great shower. Room 6 on bottom floor street level. Breakfast was adequate with croissants, cereal, fruit, coffee, tea, and great hot chocolate. Boulangerie right next door if not satisfied. Staff very helpful. Metro 150 yards, but up some steps. Got your heart pumping early. Metro stop (Lamarck-Caulaincourt) will be closed here until mid summer 2006 so be careful. Walking to next metro would be very inconvenient. Be glad to give info on carte...

Great Location!
from emma81206
We stayed at the hotel for a long weekend in March and had no complaints whatsoever. Yes, the room was very small, but it was adequate, afterall when in Paris who wants to stay in a hotel room all day?! The location was perfect, about a half mile walk (although uphill) to the Sacre Couer and surrounding areas which had lots of restaurants and things to do. The closest metro Lamark Cauaincourt is closing between 27th Mar - July 2006, the next nearest metro is Abessess, which is a bit of a walk away. Overall, for a 2* hotel it's...

Nice, clean budget hotel
from linc82
My mother and I stayed at the Comfort Hotel Lamarck in mid-March for three nights and found it to be more than adequate. The room was incredibly tiny- about as long as a twin bed plus about two and a half feet- with a bathroom to match- but everything was immaculately clean. The breakfast was great and provided a big variety- yogurt, croissants, bread, fruit, hard boiled eggs, milk and coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cereal. Notes on location: We took the Metro everywhere and so the location (close to the Lamarck-Coulaincourt Metro stop)...

Great value, convenient location
from A TripAdvisor Member
As a single, female traveller I stayed at the Lamarck for 3 nights in early October. I found the receptionists to be very friendly and helpful, the location very convenient - so close to a Metro station, and the neighbourhood very interesting. While the rooms were quite small (the beds took up most of the room) I did feel very safe in the hotel and it was not very noisy. I recommend visiting the local boulangerie located next to the hotel for some excellent freshly baked breadfast breads. The pain au chocolat was my favourite and it...

Good, basic cheap deal
from Viragored
We stayed at the Comfort Lamarck for a long weekend in November, just in time for the snow. We didn't miss the air conditioning but did appreciate the thermostatic electric heater on the wall. As others have said, expect a tiny room and a shower cubicle in the bathroom that is really tiny. Our room was clean, the TV worked (BBC World, a couple of German language stations and five or so French ones) and the bed was the smallest we've been in for years. But at least it was a double. The breakfast was adequate, and no-one need...

Great Location!!!
from MarylandHipchick
You get what you pay for. After reviewing the previous posts for the hotel I knew that the rooms were small and the hotel didn't have many amenities. This is after all a 2 star hotel. The location was great! It was right up the street from the metro. The helpful staff showed us how to catch the metro and which stops to get off. The metro in Paris is really easy. We caught it all around town. I don’t recommend walking alone at night though. Also teenagers hang around the hotel at night but they don’t bother you. The hotel serves...

Excellent Location, Clean and Friendly
from A TripAdvisor Member
I found this hotel to be comfortable, the staff friendly, the breakfast pleasant and the location terrific. Within minutes you have the Metro Station, a boulangerie and a convenience market. The rooms are small, but clean and well maintained. We were two small people in a room and it was somewhat cramped. The bathroom was fine. Ask for a room on the interior. As the hotel is located on a somewhat commercial street in a residential area the foot and vehicle traffic can be noisy especially on weekend nights. The only English Language TV...

Good Value, Good Location
from A TripAdvisor Member
We stayed here for five nights in October of 2005. We were slightly disappointed that the expedia deal didn't offer breakfast, but the bakery next door was very affordable and always had fresh, warm bread baguettes in the morning. The chocolate baguettes and bacon/onion buns were to die for! The hoods across the street were actually very interesting. They were never intoxicated or even violent for that matter, just very loud. They would just stand there and talk (rather shout) to each other for hours on end. They were more annoying...

Hooded Youths hanging about outside
from Beth502
We have just come back from 2 nights at the comfort Inn. It was OK for a two night stay but the rooms were small and the hotel was very much in need of some tlc.Although the room was cleaned each day it was very grubby but our biggest concern was the group of hooded youths who congregated both nights we were there outside the front door. Now to be fair they didnt hassle passers by but on our first night when we returned around 10pm we got coments made to us (as did the 2 young ladies who went into the hotel just before us). They werent nasty...

Smallest Room Ever and No A/C
from A TripAdvisor Member
Pros: - Around the corner from Lamarck-Calincourt subway station - Montmarte is a FANTASTIC part of the city; it's beautiful, has lots to do, and it's much more laid back than the more tourist-oriented parts of the city. - Friendly staff - Decent breakfast - Large windows (newly installed) give room decent air circulation Cons: - Our room was the absolute smallest thing I've ever seen; you trip over the bed on the way in. (Bathroom is also tiny.) But if you're planning on spending only minimal amounts of...

The reception area of the hotel is bright and clean. There is a lift which was okay but the floor of the lift always looked like it could do with a good clean. The steps up to each floor were steep and the walls, once white, were very dirty. The first room we had, room... more
