Best Western Hotel Kinsky Garden Reviews
" Our first time in Prague, which is a... "

Our first time in Prague, which is a magical city. Ideally, we would have liked to have chosen a hotel in the historical centre, with the Main Square and the Astronomical Clock.
One member of our party was moderately disabled, so we had to choose a hotel with a lift (in short supply).
The Best Western hotel was very comfortable - it was about 10 minutes walk from the Charles Bridge (which is spectacular), and was handy for the cheap and frequent tram service.
The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the breakfast was fine. The staff were very amenable.

My second trip to Prague this year, we chose the lesser town side of the river this time, the Kinsky Garden seemed to fit the bill.
Accommodation was good clean and all staff were typically helpful and efficient. Room was good and breakfast facilities good to.
After a few days and a few beers the walk over Charles bridge and along to the hotel got a bit wearing.
Prague, well what can you say, we genuinely found a bar a little out of centre, actually just at the top of Holechova, which is the road the hotel is on, where we were served two large beers for the princely sum of 40p each, admittedly at the more touristy venues it is a lot more expensive, but you can still generally find beers at under a pound a pint, even in restaurants etc.
Food also if you chose carefully very reasonable prices indeed. And those ladies, they will fleece you good and proper, but what a way too go. Enjoy

Although it rained in Prague more or less throughout the three days we were there, we still had a great time. Our hotel was close enough to the Old Town (definitely the most interesting part), yet had none of the noise from Old Town tourists!
Would recommend the hotel....booked it on the Internet on the Best Western website. Rooms were good value (£70 per room per night, breakfast included) and spacious.
Prague is a lovely city, but don't go expecting cheap prices! Czech beer and goulash with dumplings are still good value, and the tram is amazingly cheap and amazingly punctual! Otherwise, prices are much in line with any European capital south of London.

Prague is a fascinating city with lots to see and do and a very good public transport for getting around. A visit to the Castle is a must, if only to get a fabulous view over the city.
We found plenty of places to eat and drink with hearty meals at very reasonable prices and a range of excellent beers at about 50p a pint. People forget that the Czechs are one of the world's biggest lager brewing countries and that the town of Pilsen gave us the famous lager.
I enjoyed my stay in Prague and I will be back.
