Belle Epoque Hotel

well, i have stayed in this hotel several times, at first by chance! - i can thoroughly recommend it - i hesitate to tell you about it for obvious reasons! - i love the staff, the rooms,the breakfast, everything about it - it is a bijou! - not a long walk to the place de la bastille. mail me on - alsatk2@tiscali.co.uk - i can tell you more - you will not be disappointed! best wishes alistair

Lovely, stylish little hotel not too far from the centre of Paris - 5 min walk to Bastille Metro station then 2 stops into Hotel de Ville/Louvre or 20 min walk to Les Iles. Also handy for Bercy & the Gare de Lyon. Very clean and comfortable. All the reception staff very friendly and helpful. We were leaving early just before breakfast was due to be served, but the staff happily brewed the coffee and served us breakfast ahead of schedule. The hotel was great. Very convenient for transport and sights, but small and quiet, off the main drag, with friendly, helpful staff and a great breakfast. Yes, the room was small, but perfectly formed - attractive and with all amenities. The hotel seemed to have been fairly recently refurbished and everything was very clean and airy. My only complaint was that the room got very cold at night and there were no spare blankets. As I only stayed 1 night, I didn't get around to asking about this.

I was searching for a decent hotel in a good location for 6 people. I was so afraid to disappoint the other parties, but it turned out to be an excellent choice. Rooms are clean, all floored with ceramic stones, beds are good and breakfast is also very good (better than the average continental and it was included in our room rate). The staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful and the location was not bad at all. About 7min walk to Gare De Lyon Train station from which you can get anywhere. 5minutes from the Bastille.. The Hotel Belle Epoque is located in the 12th Arrondissement of Paris. Looking at a map, it might appear to be removed from the center of the typical tourist attractions, but this is actually not true. Only a 20 minute walk from the Ile St. Louis, it is an east Metro ride to anywhere in Paris. The Ledru-Rollin and Bastille metro stops are very close to the hotel. Stayed 3 nights at this lovely little hotel. Easy to get to, 2 stops on the RER line D, from Gare du Nord to Gare de Lyon, or 7 stops on the metro line 5 to Bastille. Was expecting a tiny room, but to our surprise it was lovely and spacious. We stayed in rm 10 on the ground floor, my children slept on the sofa beds, which were made up for us and this room doubles up as the living room area. My husband and son (18-year-old) are staying for 9 nights at the Hotel Belle Epoque and are very satisfied with this hotel The rooms are small but very clean (also clean towels and linen every day), and the staff are very polite and helpful (also when receiving incoming calls - I have been calling them every day!!!). The breakfast is wonderful: croissants, pastries, fresh bread, jam, butter, eggs, cheese, yogurt, cold meat, cereals, coffee, fruit juice etc - buffet style and you can take as much as you want) and the meal is included in... more

Before finally deciding to book for Hotel Belle Epoque, I have spent a lot of time reviewing the map of Paris and its relation to the Metro, Bus, and RER. I finally stayed at the hotel from 10 till today, 12th of March. Result ? Excellent ! Almost anything I do is "walking distance" because of the hotel's proximity. From Gare de Lyon to Ledru-Rollin, to Bastille, to the Marais district, to Hotel Ville-then there is the Metro 8 to bring me to the other side of the Seinne River.

Just returned from a 2 night bed and breakfast stay at the Belle Epoque - Daily Mail special offer break. We actually walked from Gare du Nord to the hotel - about an hour but easy to find on map. Hotel is a short walk from the Ledru Rolin metro and a short walk in opposite direction to the Pont d'Austerlitz. Hotel accommodation very good - we had a good size room, mini bar, TV (no English channel though) good size bathroom with shower. All very well maintained. The breakfast for us was included - this was excellent with plenty of choice.... more

We've been to Paris a few times and this is definately the nicest budget hotel we've stayed at. The staff are friendly and the lobby looks clean and new. The rooms are small but adequate - as to be expected in Paris. The hotel is situated in a great area and there are a number of geat bars and restaurants just a short walk nearby. It's a little confusing to find as it is down a back street (especially if you are coming by Metro from Bastille), but don't be put off by that. Would definately recomend it.
