Astor St Honore Hotel

we are a family of 4 and stayed at this elegant hotel for 3 nights with breakfast. our room was a prestige junior suite which was wonderful, the room was very spacious with fine funiture and unique detail, we had satalite t.v, cd player, air con, internet connection, tea/coffee and a massive queen size bed!! it could not have been better, there was a cot for our 2 year old, a double sofa bed for our five year old, we decided to have breakfast in the room each morning which was great! the staff are very friendly and helpful and the service is... more

My husband and I stayed in Paris a few days ago. I selected this hotel based on recommendation on tripadvisor and due its perfect location. Infact, this isn't my first time in Paris and I think that Madeleine-Opera is the best location, just in the centre of the city. From the hotel you can easily go wherever you want, it's 5 minutes walking the Madeleine, the Metro is right at hand (St. Augustin or Madeleine), but you cannot hear noise or metro vibrations, and there's a parking only steps away. My partner and I arrived in Paris from Toronto at 8;30 in the morning on our first (but not last) trip to France. We advised by friends that the most efficient and least costly way to get to our hotel was via the public transit system. This turned out to be true but for one small detail. The transit staff couldn't identify the closest stop to the hotel; that left us with a bit of a hike through the sometimes narrow streets of Paris with our luggage. Stayed at the Astor with my husband and 9 year old daughter for 5 nights. We had a wonderful, big room on the 2nd floor. We faced an inner courtyard so it was very quiet. The staff was lovely. The breakfast was equally lovely and a great start to the day. The bathrobes and towels were big and fluffy. Nice sized bathroom. Mini-fridge great for kid snacks. The hotel is near a number of metro stations and is located in a fun, all be it fancy, neighborhood. It is also an easy walk to many sites. Just Wonderful!

Nice hotel, wonderfull reception and great rooms - very central. But we had some eau de toilette bottels stolen from our room after house keeping was there - so lock up most of you expensive stuff in the in room safe.

What a lovely gift! My girlfriend presented me with this weekend break to Paris at Xmas time. Believe me, it was well worth the wait. We travelled on an early morning Eurostar, arrving in Paris before noon. After arriving at the Astor, we thought we would just be leaving our bags, however, we were welcomed and checked in early. Stayed with my boyfriend for 3 nights. We arrived from an early eurostar train expecting just to drop off our bags as too early to check in (around midday) however welcomed and checked in within minutes, with the bell boy bringing the cases up 5 mins later. Lovely room, clean, well decorated, huge bathroom. The room was well equipped with mini fridge you can use and free safe in the room. Had a nice view but then again were on the 7th floor. We stayed at the Astor for an extended weekend. Staff is very friendly, room was small but very nice, breakfast was good. The hotel is located in a small street near Madeleine - no traffic noise! But near to many sights! Some very nice restaurants in the neighbourhood! If we travel to Paris again, we will definitely choose the Astor again!!!

The hotel is situtaed on rue d'astborg which is a quiet street a few minutes walk from the champs elysees, place de la concorde, and the the metro saint augustin. We stayed over christmas and it was a delight. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We had booked a meal on xmas day at a top paris restaurant but forgot our confirmation fax the concierge phoned the restaurant who could not confirm our booking and actually booked us in again this was great service, though we did eventually recover our original booking. We just returned from 5 nights at this hotel and had a great time! The room was very small by American standards but very clean and comfortable bed. The bathroom was clean and modern. Even though this was a "smoking hotel" they must have a good ventilation system and the room did not smell of smoke. Also the location was superb - we are walkers and found this to be central to everything!!
