Appia Lafayette Hotel

We stayed at the hotel for 6 nights and we were very satisfied with the services offered. The room was quite small, but we knew these are the conditions for every 3 stars hotel in Paris. The staff was GREAT, kind and ready to help with information. The breakfast offered was quite good, it was the same every morning, but you could have as much as you felt like...if you are hungry in the morning ;). Stayed for one night in july. Great hotel with great location between Gare du Nord and Gare d'Est. Superb AC which is nice in the heat. Quite small room but with great bathroom. All international channels on the tv. A lot of germans seems to stay at this hotel for some reason. Maybe charter. I don't know. Highly recommended!

Hotel Room, medium size, clean and tidy, bath room clean and as new. Reception quite courteous and helpful. Breakfast excellent, a good variety of food, the lady running the breakfast is classy, efficient, courteous and enjoys her job. Hotel location excellent, 2 min walk to La Gare du Nord and it was a bonus to catch the train to go to anywhere in Paris and to go to Brussels, Amsterdam and London, no money was wasted catching taxi. Overall experience very good, nice restaurant around and I will love to stay at this hotel again next time... more

This is our second stay at this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. Check-in and out a breeze. We were early to check-in both times and our room was ready no fuss. Breakfast is better than adequate. Rooms are quiet, clean and well serviced. No complaints at all.

Stayed weekend Jan/08. Ideal location for Gare du Nord or Gare d'Est. Quiet location. Decor in good condition. Friendly, helpful staff. Good breakfast: eggs (for boiling), toaster, 4 cereals, jams, variety of cheeses, 4 types cold meats, bread, baguettes, juices, yogurts, croissants. Highly recommend.

Bathroom was clean and the room was adequate - what you would expect for the money - but the area is not good and the staff on reception were unpleasant. Above all however, the mattress was appalling. I tried to sleep on the floor one night but had to resort to the bed and, one month on, I still have a sore back. There was no support at all.

Me and my wife stayed in Appia Hotel for 3 nights and it was quite nice. The location is great since it's very close to the Northen main Train Station. The only things missing were Wireless Internet and storage place for Bags in the reception.

Stayed for one night. Chose because about 4-minutes' walk from Gare du Nord, which is very convenient to the airport and other subway lines. Staff was typical for the city - info only, no smiles (you don't come to Paris for the Parisiens). Clean and even our room on the 1st floor next to the street was not too loud.

The hotel location was a 5 minute walk from the Gare du Nord train station which is good for Eurostar passengers, although I'm not so sure that it was a terribly nice part of town. The rooms were clean and comfortable but the hotel reception staff are in urgent need of some public relations training, they were not exactly friendly or helpful. We didn't intend to stay here - we were moved here after our original hotel double booked our rooms. However, it is a decent hotel if you are looking for a base on a weekend break in Paris. The rooms are fine. The beds are a little on the small side, and you're hardly wallowing in space, but it's clean and comfy, bathrooms are decent, and the breakfast in the morning is a good feed.
