Just returned worst hotel ever the bathroom was trimmed with rust the bed was a concrete base, aircon remot was missing was told to activate via the fuse box but there was electical buring so I reported it again but nobody came, the pool was in use at 3am by courting couples wich included nude swimming if this is youe idea of safe all inclusive go there.
Food was plentyful and catered mainly for the Germans and Russian, only had bacon once never seen mushrooms or baked beans.
Evening entertainment was mainly for the Kids.
Poolside very slippery seen lots of trips and slips.
But if you were fortunate to say in the newly renovated part you review would be different it was like another world aparenly

After reading reviews before i left, i was a bit scared of what we had just booked, but all i can say is don't believe everything you read find out for yourself.my girlfriend and i had a ball and met people from all nationalities, the bar staff are amongst the friendliest we've met always obliging and would do just about anything within reason for you and that includes trying to learn you the basic language of greek.the animation team we're very friendly and always encourged everyone to join in on daily activities.we loved the food and was not repetitive at all as there is plenty of choice if you are willing to try different foods.if you go to this hotel visit kosta's bar just near the 2 pools, this is the best barman you will meet, i'll not say any more about him just find out for you're self and youwill know what i'm talking about.Deffinitely going to goback next year for 2weeks as we only stayed for 1 this time and it was'nt long enough.

Well i cant say very much beacause we didnt stay at this hotel for the fact beacause some of the rooms were needing reparing we only found out this when we were checked in . I think away of missing this is book with a tour operator. Within finding this out with a stupid excuse of " we couldn'nt get to you ". (heard of a phone) we were told to go to the another mmitris hotel in Crete . They then paid for a taxi to take to us the hotel. I thought i would write warning you incase this happens to you ! For reference the other hotel is called the rinela beach hotel & we booked with On the beach
thank you.

After reading some of the reviews i paniced abit as this was a last mintue booking.
I couldnt have asked for more, i had a fantastic time. The hotel was clean and tidy. The food was nice, with the buffet main resturant or the pizza pool bar (you need to book 12 hours in advance) this is the first all inclusive holiday i have been to and said i would recommend it and go back myself. I wasnt ill what so ever.
The only down side was you are 3km away from the main part of the centre, which in the heat is a walk, and is very hilly. It only costs $8 in a taxi. I had one of the bungalow rooms by the small pool, which was fantastic we never had a problem finding a sun bed with shade aswell, the view was amazing and me and my boyfriend enjoyed it alot and were sad to leave. I hope this review helps people. The last review didnt seem to have anything about the actual hotel in.
Perfect holiday!

having booked our holiday in march and paid in full when we arrived at serita beach given wrist bands the told to wait while they checked us in came back to us an hour later and said that our booking had been cancelled. the manager did not come to see us we were told to go to the zorbis hotel next door as they had no rooms available which was clearly a lie.we went next door but we had to pay again £950.00 for two weeks clearly the manager did not want to give us the same rate we had paid in the uk i hope nobody finds themselves in a situaton like ours at serita beach as there is nobody willing to help, as it transpires when we got home freedom who we booked with had gone bust but we were not told if you do not have a credit card you are in trouble.

The holiday industry really does need to get its act together and clearly define what is and what is not 5*.
Mitsis Serita Beach is NOT.
POSITIVES : The bar staff, the resturant staff and the entertainment staff (although the evening shows are somewhat lacking in real quality) were all great people who worked hard.
NEGATIVES :
1. No pool towels supplied - nobody told us this before we left.
2. Hotel Shop - total rip off - €17 for a towel - poor quality at that and left behind.(see 1. above)
3. Health and safety - clearly not in the companies vocabulary. The pool side was leathal when wet, at least 4 accidents in the week we were there, one involved blood spillage which was left for more than 3 hrs.
4. Maintenance - seems to be very little and what was done was a botch type job.
5. In the middle of nowhere, if you need to travel it is best to hire a car. If you are 2+ people do not do the excursions but hire a car a take yourself - much cheaper.
OK's
1. The food is OK for canteen style delivery with a wide variety available each day but as others have said it gets very repetative (1 week is enough)
2.Drinks - the beer and spirit quality was good, the wine not so but drinkable.
BOTTOMLINE : Quite a good holiday but I probably will not go again.

We have just returned from two weeks at the serita beach and i have to say im glad to be home!
The hotel itself is immaculate and kept very clean, the maids that do the rooms do a fantastic job (especially cleaning up after myself, my partner and my children (aged 1 and 3). But it's defo not a 4+ star as advertised - I'd say more a 3.
We stayed in one of the bungalows - lovely sea view plus a view of the adults pool.
Unfortunatley we chose to go near the end of their season therefore we found the animation shows poorley put together (like they couldnt be bothered anymore) and they all were not reluctant in admitting they couldnt wait to go home!
On the first day we were pleased to see the orray of food on offer but sadly The food was virtually the same all the way through, catering mainy to the germans we thought, and we found it very undercooked, the burgers were red inside, the pork kebabs on skewers still bleeding and the meatballs pink - in fact on our 10th day me and my babies ended up with food poisoning so we didnt eat any meals in the resturant from then on. we also didnt think they catered to children very well, EVERYTHING was covered in salt and herbs (oregano i think) which made it difficult to feed them (specially my 1 year old who has only been on solids for a few months) ALTHOUGH the range of puddings is amazing... the chocolate cakes delicious so if you can live on them alone like i did you will be happy!
The doctors service (with insurance wlse you pay through the nose) is very good, the doctors speak very good english and are very helpful - which is reassuring... but hopefully you wont require them like we did!
The mini club is basically a shed near the park with a variety of games in, we didnt find the animation paticually playful, more just watching the kids destroy the place! and although the guys were friendly, they were more centrerd towards the younger ladies!
Yes the pool surround was very slippery but i think thats to be expected really, just keep hold of the kiddies and there is a larger slideto keep the bigger kids entertained.
The bar service was brilliant - the cocktails delicious, and if you tip the waiter when you arrive he will keep drinks on your table all night which was greatand my other half informs me that the local mythos beer was very drinkable!
The beach is very close but is shingles - so no sandcastle building :-( but if you follow the coast up about 10 mins you find a section thats more sandy to play on, although it does get busy.
To be honest... if you are looking at going to the hotel, only stay a week else you will get board of the food and the entertainment which seems to be they same every week,
The hotel itself hasnt got alot of access around the pools for buggies/wheelchairs unless your prepared to take a lot of de tours, but is clean tidy and nice, only the resturant lets it down.
We had a nice 1st week, a terrible second week and defo wont be going back but if you are desperate to go we recomend staying a week maximum else you will be bored to tears!

After reading all the others reviews we were wary and apprehensive but when we got there we were pleasantly suprised. The hotel is definetly not 5* but we made the most of it. The rooms were quite small ( but fairly clean and a good standard. This varies where abouts you are in the hotel from what we have heard from other guests) the food is repetitive but decent enough..you won't stave!
The pool area is nice, got to get up early to get a sunbed although towards the end of our holiday it was getting easier to find sunbeds together.
The animation are good, a little cheesy but all of them are very friendly. We have a young teenage daughter, there wasn't a lot for her to do but she made friends. I have to say some of the male animators were a little bit too friendly with young girls! we were thankful our daughter was too young to attract their attention!
overall the holiday was enjoyable although we probbably wouldnt go back!

this was first and last time at the mitsis serita hotel .....we would never return because the food was the same every night and had the worst smell ever ..... only go there if you love oregano , because they put it on everything ..i mean everything .the animation team are very friendly a couple of the men are a little to friendly towards the women.the majority of the hotel was italian which were very rude and anoying with there camera's they were filming a man cleaning the pool and filming eachother eating for some weird reason but the cherry on the top of stayin here was the cleaner ..who stole my daughters brand new green shoes on are last day !

This was our first time at Serita Beach and on a AI and was plesantly surprised. After reading the reviews some of them rang true like the pool area was very slippery, seen a few hit the deck and the food was a bit samey samey each day. It was more catered for the foriegners which i say there was 70% of and 30% british. Some of them (especially GERMANS!!) were ignorant and arrogant so and sos!! But we didnt let them get the better of us! Most of them didnt understand what a queue was kept having to tell people to get to the back of it!! Apart from that anyway, the complex itself was lovely, clean and tidy. Entertainment staff was great with the kids, mini club was 10am-12pm then 3pm-5pm they also had a mini disco at 9.30 every night apart from weds (staffs day off!) The entertainment was sometimes a bit cheesey but the kids loved it.Like i said about the food there was plenty of choice but not up to our taste. It wasnt that bad that we had to eat out every night or go hungry it was just missing a bit of the old british ingredients!!! They did have a Pizza restaurant which you had to pre book the nite before and that was nice, freshly cooked pizzas plus other choices of food. You couldnt fault the waiting staff either they would look after you all night serving you drinks bringing you 1 or 2 at a time so you didnt have to go to the bar. Also the weather was fabulous so we couldnt ask for more really. Overall we had a great holiday and we havent been put off AI just that next time we will look more into the food side of it making sure theres some good old British food on the menu!!! And no we are not typical brits like on Benidorm!! wouldnt go there if you paid us!! Dont be put off go and enjoy the Serita and see what you think!!

After arriving at Serita Beech at around 23.00 we were informed that there was a 'serious' problem. Apparently a flight had been cancelled and the passengers were being 'billeted' at the hotel for another night and we were to be temperarly 'housed' at a sister hotel. After travelling for about twelve hours with two young children we were not amused!! (although a number of other guests we met had similar experiences)
Next morning we were 'taxied' back to Serita Beach and into a very small room with four beds (449) although we had booked a twin room .Complaints with reception got us nowhere as we were informed there were only 8 larger rooms in the whole hotel and these had been occupied!
We decided to forget the room 'problems' and get on with the holiday. The food was reasonably although 'Rabbit' is a fairly unusual dish. The poolside pizza cafe was excellant and the majority of the staff were very friendly particularly Kostas at the poolside bar ,Nikki (waitress at the main bar) and Antoineo (Ronaldo) at the main bar as well.
As mentioned in most reviews definately not a 5* but for just over two grand for a weeks all inclusive for two adults and two children in august it wasnt too bad.

We had 10 lovely days of a 14 day holiday until disaster struck!
To start with we had a lovely room, not in the main part of the hotel but in a little block of bungalows. The rooms were very comfortable and very clean.
The location was a bit out of the way but there were a few shops and bars within walking distance if you wanted a change,
The food was lovely, lots of choice, the pizzaria was fabulous to sit and watch the sun go down over that fantastic coastline.
The staff were some of the best I have ever encounted, couldn't do enough for you whether you were in the restaurants, bars, housekeeping or on reception they were very friendly and helpfull.
50 % of the people staying at the hotel were Russian, lots of them, and a lot of French too, and some of them didn't know how to queue, very annoying when at the bar.
Unfortunately the area around the pool is lethal, we saw a few people slip but they were not following the notices to take care and not walk barefoot, however on the 10th night my sister, who was wearing sensible shoes slipped on the tiles around the bar (it had been raining) and ended up with her leg in a plaster cast and on crutches. We had to move from our lovely room to the main part of the hotel after that (to avoid stairs) and the second room, although still comfortable and clean, was noisier and the balcony was constantly flooded because of the air-con.
We did have a lovely time though and would consider going back next year.
