this is my 4th year in a row staying here with my wife and 2 young boys.i gave these apartments 10/10 last year what a difference a year makes.there was alot of young groups there this year and these apartments are advertised for familys which they have been the last 3 years.the groups of young ones were very noisy going out at night and coming back again from the clubs.we didnt get much sleep.alot of broken glass round poolside and even in pool.a few kids even cut their feet on it.we did complain about it and reception did tell us to keep ring them if their was alot of noise but it was an ongoing thing and i think they were struggling to control it.the entertainment wasnt as good as last year and the kids club only lasted an hour from 12 till 1.the mini disco at night was from about 9oclock to 9.45.junior and txus who did entertainment last year was far better.oscar who was doing entertainment this year was more interested in going out clubbing with the young ones.the last day was a disgrace.a group of lads between 30-45 years old arrived very drunk.they took over pool with a little help from oscar and the kids had to get out of pool.their language was terrible and they kept pulling each other shorts down.we went to reception and they told us to go down and use hotel pool or the sister apartments across the road.then at about 5 oclock i was standing on my balcony and saw 2 of the lads that arrived that day starting to fight with each other.then the 2 lads fell into the pool to carry on the fight.one of them had the others head under the water.what if a child had of been in the pool at the time and one of them had landed on him or her.my wife phoned reception to say what was going on and they said police was on their way no police arrived.i am giving this 4/10 for the views we had from our balcony and the happy 2 hours which saved us a few euros.will not be back here again which is shame.NOT RECOMMENDED FOR FAMILYS.

We came back from here on Saturday night, after staying for 7 nights.
The apartments are on the top of quite a steep hill, it is ok walking up in the evening after a nice meal, but is not very pleasant in scorching heat during the day!
Location was good, just a short walk and you are on the beach, along with everything else that you need.
Supermarket next door, although quite expensive.
The room was ok, very basic but had everything that you needed. Beds were made up 6 of the 7 days we were there, fresh towels 6 days out of 7, fresh sheets once in the week.
The view from the room was breath taking!
We had alot of noise from other young guests, obviously due to the location. But that was only at certain times of the night do did not disturb us too much.
2 nice cold pools with plenty of sunbeds around. Although pool got very busy after midday.
Pool bar i found quite reasonable, although it was alot cheaper at happy hour between 8 and 10, you can get a glass of white wine and a pint of beer for 2.25euro!
Entertainment was ok at night, not alot for childrem, although there wasn't many there anyway. Found the young people took advantage of the happy hour and were very roudy so made it difficult at times to enjoy.
Overall i would personally not stay here again because it is going to have alot of young people who are out to have a good time in Magaluf, where as we just wanted a quiet week away.
I would not reccomend this place for families with young children.
I would definatly go back to Palma Nova, it is my 5th time and i love it!

I travelled to these apartments in June 2008 with my husband and 3 year old daughter. I would not recommend these apartments to anybody with a family. The first night we were put into the tiniest apartment I've ever seen in my life that was stinking of stale cigarettes. We complained the following morning and we were moved. The next apartment was much better ............. however...........one morning my husband got up, put some toast on and got an electric shock off the toaster. The whole apartment was live. We were promptly moved from that apartment into another. This was our 3rd move. Overall we didn't sleep for the whole 2 week stay due to the noise of the other residents. Usually coming home after their night out. There was one security guard at reception who did his best but it was too much for one person. We complained a fair bit about the noise but to no avail. We only spent a couple of days by the pool and it wasn't a pleasant experience. We all had to vacate the pool one of the days, including the kiddies pool because there was broken glass in it. We really love Palma Nova and have been many times before but there is no way I would stay in or recommend these apartments to anyone. We tried to move to the Hawaii Hotel but there was no availablility. At this stage we would've paid anything to get out of the apartments. We made the most of our holiday but we were glad to get home for a decent and safe nights sleep.

We were on the lowest floor the appartments were appaling they were dirty, the wardrobes smelt of old musky wood, the cleaners only came in to change the beds, the floor was never swept and the coffee table and dining table never cleaned. The staff need lessons in friendliness .This is the worst apparments we have ever stayed at and would urge family's not to go .This hotel should be soley for the younger generation .I couldnt even give this hotel a 1 star

We were very nicely surprised by the hotel appartments! After reading quite a few negative comments on this site it was worrying as we had already booked our holiday!
We are a couple in our early 30's with 2 girls aged 11 and 14 and these apparments were ideal!
ROOMS - The room was extremely clean and bright and a good size, sofa beds for the girls which they found comfy! Only problem was the room had 2 singles! The bathroom was a good size and shower lovely and powerful. toster, kettle, and 2 hobs. We ate out mostly and you couldn't really cook a meal (there was enough equipment though!)but it was handy for snacks!
SERVICE - Reception staff were friendly and always willing to help. The room was cleaned daily with towels and sheets if we wanted them. The cleaner were not intrusive and came back at a different time if ased.
ATMOSPHERE - A nice feel to the place, a good mixture of all ages, familes, late teens early twenties and the groups of lads and lasses all seemed to respect the quetier families everyone mixing well!
POOL AREA - lovely cool pool which the girls loved and a realy sun trap all through the day. I was shocked by how early and quickly the sun loungers went in the mornings. Some had towels place on and were only used for an hour each day but were rendered unusable which got on my nerves and first but seemed to be common place so if you can't beat em join em. Amazing views of Palma Nova from the back of the pool areas
BAR - only tried the drinks, expensive by night but happy 'hour' half price fom 19.00 to 21.45 was great and ideal before going out. Cocktails were extremely nice alcoholic and non for the children. Worked out about 9 Euros for a round for the 4 of us!
BEACHES - The closest is about a 2 minute walk down the hill and was a nice beach. Magaluf beach is about a 5 minute walk. Don't believe the heart attack hill lines it's nothing really if you're realitvely fit.
EATING OUT - If you like a cooked breakfast go down the hill, first left up the hill and on your right towards Magaluf is a place called the Canny Kitchen Cafe run ny a Geordy lady called Grace. Extremely friendly, lovely fry up and excellen value. Our first night we also found a traditional Spanish Restaurant up the hill from Pachas called Restaurant Fantasic Pizzeria the Sangria and Paela were the best we had all week.
THINGS TO DO - Pirates is a must seems a little expensive but the show was well worth it! If you get offered Quarter Deck tickets for 20 Euros each don't bother just go for the regular ones and get there early to get good seats. The food isn't great but you can make up your money on the free flowing sangria! We also visited the Western Water park which was a great mix of shows and exciting parks. The Glass bottom boat trip is good value, we loved swimming off the back of the boat when it stopped half way around. If your a boat lover go to Palma Marina to see some super yachts!
Overall and excellent Appart Hotel, great room, ace location which is central to everything you need!

My husband, myself and two boys aged 11 and 7 years stayed here in July 2008 for 13 nights. We were very happy with our accommodation. There were two pools with lovely views over the bay of Palma Nova. There was a children's club, soft play area and small park for smaller children. Bar food was nice and the children loved the Panda Meals which cost 4.45 euro and included drink and sweetie lolly. There was a happy hour in the evening with drinks half price which was great. There was a show on every night but this was hit and miss.
Our room was a one bedroom apt which had fantastic views over the pool and the bay. There was also air conditioning in both rooms. the only downside of the apt was the smell coming from the bathroom during the end of our stay which I think was due to a cracked leaky toilet.
maid service five times a week and they left clean fluffy towels everytime they cleaned the apt.
Steepish hill upto apts but we came home with toned calf muscles and probably a few pounds lighter.
Our bedroom was backing onto aroad which was quite noisy when the bars emptied and in the morning with bin lorries and delivery lorries but this cannot be helped.
all in all a great holiday and the boys loved it and made friends and we will definitely be back again.

These aparments although they cater for children, are spoilt by the rowdy groups of lads and lasses. The noise at night is a disgrace. We complained to reception and were told people are evicted on a weekly basis. This tells you how bad this place is.
The apartments are spacious although I was not given the sea view I paid for and was told they were fully booked, the tour operator charge for sea view and the apartments cannot not guarantee this. I am taking this up with Travel Republic as the "sea view" I received was tree trunks".
We were often woken at 5am with drunken inconsiderate people shouting, music playing and banging on doors. The pool area can often be rowdy but most of the time it was fine for children.
The location is ideal if you want to be close to Magalluf but I had been of the opinion that Torornova was 15 minute away from Magalluf - more like 15 seconds!
We ventured up to the strip one night to go to Burger King at 11.30pm and were greeted with many drunks staggering along and even collapsing on the road side - I do not subject my children to a night out in Newcastle on Friday night and therefore did not return to the strip after 9.30pm.
Palma Nova is lovely although we did not find alot of entermainment for them. The best place we did find which catered for us all was Ruby Tuesdays. The enterainment on an night was excellent - bingo at 9.30 (although we didn't go to play), singing act at 10.30 and karaoke until 1am. The children also have pooll tables, air hockey, rides etc and you can keep an eye on them. More places like this is needed I think in an area that is advertised as family friendly.
I would probably return to Majorca but to a different resort. We prefer tribute bands, karaoke and family friendly places and unfortunately the location and Hawaii apartments do not have this.

After all I'd read about the hotel beforehand I was a bit disappointed... We got there after delays to be told that our room didn't have any water or electric and that we were being put up in another hotel, hotel Barracuda in Magalluf, for the night. Wasn't really happy about it because I just wanted to get in the room, but they had us go all inclusive for the night in Barracuda. It was so far away but they paid the taxi too. That hotel was another story... its fine if you wanted a rowdy stag or hen do... we had booked a one bedroom apartment, but got a very small room where me, my boyfriend and my mother had to sleep in the same! Maybe what others are into but not me! Anyway the next day our room was finally ready. After being promised these beautiful sea views we were disappointed to find our view overlooked the back of Hawaii hotel and a shed... underneath it every morning the cleaners would yak loudly for an hour before going to work. The apartments were spacious and clean, and the bathroom was lovely. Our bedroom window didn't lock though and it was a worry because it was very easy for someone to jump onto the balcony and get in the room. The hill it is on is very tiring after a long day walking, it's quite a distance to get back to. The terrace was lovely, and you couldn't ask for a better view from there. It was a lovely quiet relaxing holiday, but it was spoilt on our last day when we got surrounded by noisy inconsiderate selfish chavs, who spat from their balconies and threw bottles, the spit was landing on our balcony. I doubt they lasted long in the hotel... At night there were security guards, so there was someone on reception 24 hours. I don't know if I would go back there, I thought they were nice spacious apartments at a location with lovely views (apart from our apartment) and they were close to many shops, bars and restaurants. But just the first and last day was very offputting.

I would not recommend these apartment to families with children. Staff not friendly or helpful at all. Didnt like Scottish people at all. The noise at night was bad. Groups getting thrown out of apartments only after several guest complained. Guess you get what you pay for.

Was a fab hotel for a group of 6. The pool was ideal and the positioning of the apartments is ideal. The beach is literally 2 minutes around the corner, and the main strip 5 minutes!
The entertainment there is ideal for kids, however magaluf i personally wouldnt take a family but it was a lovely place considering my expectations was low.
We were positioned in rooms 777 and 778 which looks out onto the square shape pool and the sea if ur looking for great positioned rooms in the appartments i recommend these!
Maid service was fine no problems there and the service of the staff was well received.
If your looking for a hotel that is in and ideal spot then this one i recommend.
The reason ive given it 9 out of 10 is because the prices of the pool bar are a bit high, but go to any cafe or restaurant outside of the complex and you'll easily find something cheaper.

We arrived at 10am and were told that our room would not be ready until 3pm which was awful as we had to walk around in the hot weather in our clothes!
To get to our apartment we had to walk round the pool and up and down several flights of stairs with our cases. The rooms were spacios enough but were not the cleanest although they had a lovely view of the sea and coast. We wernt really bothered about the rooms anyway as we were never there because theres so much to do in the resort!!
There are loads of bars and restaurants about a five minute walk down the hill, the beach is also only round the corner although there is another beach about 10 mins away!
The weather wasnt great... we were there for a week at the end of May and only got 3 sunny days - the rest of the time it was cold or rainy and there were even 1 or 2 thunder storms at night!
We had a ball though as the clubs were brilliant especially BCM , Magaluf is great for young people although i would not recommend the accomodation for families as its very boring during the day - nothing going on at all!

after reading some reviews of the hotel we were a bit nervouse about staying here. Don't believe all you read. Staff are friendly apart from the older barman who hardly ever smiled. The hotel caters for families, stag and Hen parties so expect some noise late at night from the young ones and some odlies too. too much noise is dealt with straight away, we saw a couple of people with thier marching orders. we had a lot of good nights sleep. Rooms are basic but comfy with great views over the bay. The cleaners are spot on and very friendly. The pool and surrounding areas were cleaned every morning.get up early to get your towels on the beds though. The Hotel is far enough away from the bars not to hear the noise, but close enough to walk to (about 2-3 minutes)the hill is not that bad.
The pools are great to cool down in and yes you get daft lads jumping and bombing each other but its just good fun.We had no bother with anyone on our stay here.
Happy hour at the bar is from 8pm till 9.45pm go here first the go into town. The snacks at the bar are well worth the euros.
Don't pay the hotels shop rate for food and water as a bit further along is a british owned shop much cheaper. further past there is the "canny Kitchen" where you can get a great breakfast or meal for a few euro's. You must go to the "Taste of India" just off the strip, the best indian restaruant in Magaluf.
The Beaches are great but the sun loungers are expensive to hire. We went to the palma nova beaches as they seemed to be a bit quieter to relax on.plenty of bars and cáfes to indulge in too.
The nightlife is second to none and not just for the young ones. We had a great laugh and a dance in most bars, free shots or 2 for 1 drinks in all bars. The Three lions is good for Karioke, Lennons and Chaplins for good atmosphere and dancing, these are the ones we whent into most. Too old for BCM but the BCM square is a must to sit and watch everyone partying, what an atmosphere.
You must go see the "Pirates Adventure" costly but what a night.
All in all Me my Girlfriend and my two kids aged 18 & 16 really enjoyed our stay at the Hawaii Toronova and Magaluf and would book this again.
