We have just returned from a week at the marinda gardens in Cala'n Bosch and we wont be returning. The actual apartment was fine, spacious enough for the 4 of us although a little dated, well kept and clean, however the air con was very weak to non existent. We were glad to have an upper floor as it meant we had a private balcony unlike the downstairs rooms which either had a very enclosed small patio or were directly onto the path with no privacy at all. Not much in the way of storage, lacking in drawer space. we were set back from the main entertainment area but this didnt stop us from hearing all the noise coming from there every night. We were very thankful that we had free water park tickets because the marinda pool was chaos, music at full blast so it was impossible to relax. Staff did make an effort to entertain but they did pester you at times to join in. There are no language barriers and the reception staff very helpful. All the outside areas are kept very clean. It is within walking distance to the beach, which is beautiful, and marina which is where the restaurants (recommend Chaplins, very friendly and good food at reasonable price) and (very few) shops are. Glad we only went for a week, there isnt alot to see and do in Cala'n Bosch and we only had enough head ache tablets for one week.

Just returned from 11 nights at marinda gardens ,had a brilliant time with both the kids and adults entertained by a very good entertainments team during the day and the night .We stayed self catering but from reports we got from outher people the food was nice ,i would recomend taking the drinks upgrade that is offerd to you on arrival which was 80 euro for adults and 40 for kids which includes ice creams aswell as slush for everyone ,we must have got double for the money we paid if not more .
The rooms are clean but basic but us as a family are not in the rooms much ,and the cleaners came in every day except sunday and they made a good job of them .
The water park is good for the kids as the slides are not that big so my 6yr old could go on them on her own .

Me and my family (2 adults and 2 children) just came back from a really good and fun filled 2-week holiday from Marinda Gardens aparthotels.
The entertainment team were absolutely BRILLIANT, and i hope they will be there next year, and arent different people, as we are willing to go back and enjoy anothe 2 weeks with there brilliant work and cooperation with both adults and kids during day and night activities!!!!!
the Food in the restaurant on the complex was okay-good, and the drinks supply of non-alcoholic and alcoholic was very good.
the only down side to the holiday was the air condtioning in the room, as it isn't very powerful, but then again your not on holiday to spend time in your room, so it wasn't much of a bother.
all the staff were very friendly.
I most certainly cannot wait to return to Marinda gardens, cala n bosch in 2012 =)

We stayed at Marinda gardens in may 2011, all inclusive, there were 10 in our party so we had 3 rooms.they were basic the cleaners did a brilliant job but it ends there.on arrival i phoned reception for bedding for the childrens beds & was told to come & get it!!! swimwear was stolen off the lines from 2 of the rooms, the food was cold, when we complained we were told to warm it in a microwave,( reheat egs!!), fresh food was poured into the food that had been stood on the hot plates, the staff were not very helpful, the pooltables were not working on arrival nor 5 days later, one night there was no water in the public toilets, the list goes on..

just got back from a weeks holiday at marinda gardens 26/6/11-3/7/11 and i have got to say i was really pleased with the entire experience especially after reading some peoples comments on here. for a start we received one of the friendliest welcomes to a hotel ever and that friendly atmosphere was continued through out our entire stay by the staff their. the rooms are basic but more than adequate and anyway who goes on holiday to stay in their rooms????? we went on a self catering basis but once we got their upgraded to all inclusive we paid 370 euros for 2 adults and our children aged 4 and 2 they didnt charge us for which in my opinion is an absolute bargain, the food was fantastic all week with a wide variety at breakfast, lunch and dinner. the entertainment team at the hotel were excellent at getting adults and children involved in day and evening activities. excellent holiday and would recommend it to anyone.

just back from the marinda gardens hotel 24/06/11-01/07/11 can honestly say this is the worst hotel i have ever been in , the service ,the food ,the condition, everything was very poor ,the place was over ran by ants ,we had beetles and there was birds nesting in the space above the false bathroom ceiling .it took two days for them to supply a kettle and the phone still hadn,t been fixed when we left after the week ,we had asked them about it on the second day, when i say about the ants they were actually comming out of the power points in the room as for the food we sent back meatballs that were still pink in the middle and i dont have enough space to go into the food. the rooms have very bad lighting and the air conditioning is bad , cala n bosch is a great resort dont waste it by staying here

We stayed in Marinda Gardens in August 2011. It was the first time we had brought our children on a sun holiday and they thoroughly it - actually we all did. As we booked with Sunworld we had free access to both Kidsworld kids club and the hotel-run kids club. Their activity timetables were displayed in advance, so we could decide which club to go to.
We went half board (breakfast & dinner) and the food was fabulous, plenty of it and so fresh and tasty. Other than that we just kept drinks in our fridge. We tended to go for a walk most afternoons and get a snack/ice cream in supermarket, so we spent very little on food while we were there. There is a small supermarket at the complex with food, newspapers/ magazines, water toys, towels, souvenirs etc.
Definitely request a 1st floor apartment - the balcony is spacious, ideal for hanging out towels/swimwear and safe for small children.
There were plenty of sun loungers and sports activities every afternoon if you wanted to join in. Every evening there was entertainment for kids first, followed by something more aimed at adults, but family friendly too - e.g. magic show, parrot show, songs from musicals...all very well done. The sangria was lovely too.
Our children (Then aged 6 & 3 yrs) got so much out of it and would love to go back. They got free t-shirts & baseball caps the first time they went to the kids club and an activity/colouring set each to bring home on the second last day.
Everything was so well organised and we had a very relaxing holiday - would highly recommend.

We have just returned from a lovely relaxing holiday at the Marinda Gardens. We were slightly apprehensive due to reading some negative feedback, but were really pleasantly surprised by how lovely the place was. The rooms are basic, but very clean with a daily maid service. I am pleased that we requested and were allocated an upstairs room as the balcony offered much more privacy. Some of the ground floor rooms did have very small patio areas with little or no privacy.
We went self catering and found the food and drink onsite quite expensive, but it is only a short walk to the beautiful harbour where there is a huge choice of restaurants which are all extremely child friendly.
The gardens are very well maintained and extremely colourful and the pools and surrounding area are great, but what is even better is the fact that you can get free access to the Aqua park which is situated just behind the resort and offers more choice of pools: children's splash pool, wave pool and slides along with things to keep the children occupied - trampolines, electric cars and air hockey and a reasonably priced cafe.
I would certainly recommend it for someone with a young family as it is a lovely safe and quiet location. Not for the thrill seeking party animals.

We have just returned from a weeks stay in the Marinda Gardens and i wanted to write this review to make sure that anybody who is going is reassured. My husband and i took our sons (7 and 4) and we had a great time. The hotel and resort is lovely. Yes the rooms are basic, but they are clean and the cleaners work very hard ensuring your room is lovely 5 times a week. We went on a half board basis and were offered to upgrade to all inclusive, which we did not do to begin with. After being there 2 days we realised that the snacks, ice creams, drinks etc were expensive and upgraded which was far more economical. Also the price offered was great. I did negotiate and got the children free and we paid 19 euros per day per person. If you calculate your ice cream, drinks and alcohol it was well worth it and id recommend it. The food was lovely, massive selection of lovely meals and also a chef cooking at the griddle also. Cannot faut this. I really have no negative things to write. The entertainment was great for the kids, the staff work so very hard. The water park was free with us booking through Thomas Cook and this was a great saving. Please do not take any notice of the negative reviews, some people find fault in anything and everything. The resort, beaches, hotel, gardens etc are just lovely and we will certainly recommend it and return. Hope this helps you prior to your visit, just look forward to it!

We recently stayed in Marinda Gardens in Cala'n Bosch and found it to be a lovely place, there were a group of ten of us including 3 young children and everything was catered for very well. On our first day we found that there was only one other family staying at the apartments due to the time of year we'd come (1st of May) but this suited us perfectly! We had the pool and kids club to ourselves! We stayed all inclusive and i must say the food was fantastic which you dont genrally find with all inclusive hotels. My mother in law is a vegetarian and she was more than happy with the choice. I must also comment on the staff who work very hard to make sure your happy, the rooms are basic but very clean and the kids club staff (in particluar the Spanish and Dutch staff) are absolutely fantastic! We stayed for a week at Marinda gardens and half way through the week it got busier, the water park wasnt open and i heard a few groans from other guests because of this but if you choose to holiday in early May then its not going to be open! An excellent holiday had by all.

we have just returned from the marinder gardens, we did have a good time but agree with lots of other reviewers, the room was on the first floor and basic but clean and the maid service was excellent, the air conditioning was very poor and considerating is was over 100 degrees something we needed to work. As we were leaving at 4.30p.m. we asked to keep our apartment on until 4.00 for a cost of 20 euros, we were told by one member of reception staff it wasn't possible and would have to leave the room at 10.00 just be chance we asked again and another receptionist said it was fine and we were able to use the room this inconsistency is very annoying. If self-catering the drinks and meals in the complex are very expensive 5 euros for 2 small lagers.
