My family and i have arrived back a couple of weeks ago from an all inclusive holiday at the Artemis hotel. We really enjoyed it,the rooms were very clean and tidy and the food was amazing. They were a variety of food choice so everyone who had a different food liking had a meal, I have to say the price was definitely worth paying for. There was also a snack bar open when the restaurant wasn't open, that went up until midnight. The staff were very polite and if you had a problem they would try and resolve it right away. The Protaras shops were only about a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel and so was the beach. I really enjoyed my stay at the Artemis and will be returning very soon!

Just writing to express our dissatisfaction of the Artemis Hotel.
Our main concern has been over the food, basically lack of choice & also the quality, taste & visual appeal, not too mention having upset stomach each time we have eaten.
Expressing our dissatisfaction to hotel staff seemed to have no impact, so after arriving Weds eve & eating at the hotel on Thursday evening, in order to give it a chance, we decided to eat out each evening from there on. For Lunch we decided we could cope with a little bit of bread & salad, however the salad unexciting & the bread stale & did not seem to be fresh each day.
The hotel also boasts a snack bar, if you wish to risk your life, again visually unappetising & always the same options:
Rubbery chips
Anaemic hotdogs
Stale rolls
Salad
Not to mention this food was placed out when the snack bar opened & remained there all day.
We decided during dinner out on Friday evening that we would complain to the Thomas Cook rep the next day, we didn't however see her in the hotel until Monday. We then figured out that she wasn't our rep, we didn't have one, & by this time we had resigned ourselves that in order to enjoy the holiday we would have to spend a lot of money & time out of the hotel paying for food & drinks, despite having already paid for the luxury you should enjoy with an all inclusive package.
To add to the dissatisfaction of the food, the hotel was not best kept:
Sunloungers broken.
Small tables by sunloungers dirty.
Plates etc not cleaned from Garden for a few days.
Cigarette nubs in the sauna.
Tennis Courts... Where??
The dirtiest bath I have ever seen!!
On Saturday it was windy, sun shades blowing off & impaling themselves on the stands were left strewn around, upturned & generally a hazard until Monday when for the first time the garden was tidied up.
The staff were few, and miserable (with exception of Costas), they not surprisingly did not want to engage in conversation. Although a number did point out that they would not eat in the hotel either.
We thought maybe "it was us" but upon speaking to some other residents & locals around the area who had spoken to past residents, this was not just us being fussy, neither was it a new thing, it would seem this hotel has been bad for some time.

I live in Cyprus and so have stayed in a few hotels on the Island, i thought this place was awful. Our entire floor smelt of garbage, the room was too hot as it had hot water pipes running through the wardrobes, the AC didnt work properly, the cups were filthy, the beds were stained with what looked like blood, the cleaner woke us up at 09:00 am to ask when we were checking out, she knocked once and before i had time to ask her to wait she walked in, i was half dressed! I would advise you all to stay away from the hotel, Cyprus is a beautiful island and this hotel would totally ruin your holiday.
- Advice: The area the hotel is in is great, but the hotel is awful

We arrived at the Artemis at 5pm and were shown to our room upon arrival (there was 3 adults 1 child and 1 infant in our party)the room was very spacious and clean. even though we were all inclusive the room still had everything in (kettle, pans, plates etc) which was great!
The restaurant is open between 7.30-10.00am, 12.30-2.30pm and 7.00-9.30pm and between these hours the snack bar is open. the food was all great, a wide choice so something for everyone.
The staff were lovely and friendly, very chatty and welcoming! the entertainment girls, Kelly & Rachael were great, kept kids entertained throughout the day and organised shows, quizzes and other entertainment at night. we wanted to do a boat trip but was going to cost £30 with Thomas cook, go through the entertainment girls, its the same & cheaper. They also done aqua aerobics, water polo and other activities around the pool everyday free of charge.
The pool is big and clean, the hotel & grounds are well looked after and our maid came in every day except Sunday.
There is also a laundrette 2euro for washer & 1euro for dryer, you can get soap powder from the reception.
There is a supermarket across the road it is very expensive, walk about 3 mins down the road and you will get the same stuff for half the price!
Plenty of sun loungers to go around and there is a big seating area between the pool & the bar.
You can catch the bus to Fig Tree Bay from outside the hotel and it costs 1euro or you can walk there in about 15 mins.
This is a fantastic hotel to stay at, not just because its so well looked after but because the staff were so nice. We will definitely be returning with the children next year!!!
- Advice: want to book up for next year and we've just came back!!

My partner and I just arrived back from a weeks holiday all inclusive at the Artemis hotel. Firstly we arrived at the hotel shortly after midnight and was dealt with quickly and efficiently. Our room was basic but large and spacious and had all of the essentials. The food was excellent and there was plent of choice to choose from. Also there was a snack bar open for the majority of the day and through up until midnight. As for the drinks there was a wide selection to choose from and they aren't watered down!! Infact they're quite strong which suited us perfectly. The pool area was kept very clean and tidy and there was plenty of sunbeds so need to rush out and put towels down. Its in a brilliant location, just ten minutes walk from the beach and all of the bars and restaurants. Overall we had a brilliant time, very relaxing and we would definitely recommend it.

Me and my family ( my husband. daughter and friend aged 16) have really enjoyed this hotel, we couldn't fault it. It was clean, tidy and the food was fantastic. I myself, found something to eat everyday, which is unusual as i am a fussy, very basic and plain eater. We went all inclusive and found something for everymeal. The price we paid was worth it, with all meals and drinks payed for. The hotel staff are lovely, and would do anything for you. The hotel rooms have air con although you have to leave a deposit behind the desk of 20Euros which is returned to you when you bring the control back. The shops was just a short walk along the road, and we found it nicer to walk of a night time where it is much cooler. We would definately recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Just came back after two weeks, overall had a great time.
The staff were lovely by the moody manager who kept moaning at the reps who were great with th kids. You try and con you for paying for the air con,but by law the bedroom should be free and the food needs a massive improvement each night was the same and there was no choice for the kids but Protaris its self was lovely. The rooms were very basic but clean
- Advice: no very basic

We(family of four, Girl 11, Boy 16) have just returned from the Atremis Hotel, after a two holiday AL.
Forget about reading all the negative comments! Yes this hotel could do with the 60minute makeover team. But its clean, tidy and comfy beds.Food was lovely, always something to have. If kids not happy, they will sort out them with what they like. What more do you want!!
Rob, Alex and Kiki kept everyone amused day and night. All the staff very friendly and helpful, including our rep.
Night time entertaiment was good and the drinks strong to go with it! Everyone there joined in with the fun, "shakey, shakey, wakey, wakey". You'll never play bingo like that again. ha ha. Made some great friends.
Walk to the beach about 10 mins. Walk to fig tree beach worth every step.
Busy area, shops and bars, again about 10 mins away.
Well done to all at the Artemis, hope to see you next year!!!! "NEWCASTLE"

we stayed at this hotel in September 2011 and stayed self catering. We have stayed in Protaras many times, and found this to be ideal for what we wanted. The hotel was clean and tidy, the staff we very helpful and friendly. The cleaners came around every day and always said hello. The pool was kept clean and staff were out every morning clearing the area and the garden was well kept.We were very satisfied and had no complaints, that is why we have booked again to stay at the Artemis again this September. For the Review who could not find the tennis court, open your eyes mate it can be found at the other end of the pool area at the side of the hotel.....
