Artemis Hotel Apartments

Just got back from staying at the Artemis for the 2nd time. First time was 2006.
What a beautiful place Cyprus is. Protoras is a lovely resort about 15km from Ayia Napa if youngsters want the nightlife.
I cannot believe the bad reviews that the Artemis gets. Like I said it was our 2nd time of staying there and we think its brilliant. The staff are very polite and helpful and speak very good English. The hotel is very clean and the cleaners clean your room on a daily basis and change sheets and towels 3-4 times a week.
The food is fabulous - great variety everyday for adults and kids and the snack bar is open all day long.
I recommend you go all inclusive - great if you have kids - all the ice cream and drinks they like.
The entertainment is superb. Always something going on in the day - Water Polo, Killer Pool, Killer Darts, Daily Quiz. Every night the entertainment is different. Acts get brought in to entertain you - Parrot Shows, Dancers, Singers.
There is mimi disco every night for the kids and Bingo for the adults.
Andy & Suzanne do a great job entertaining everyone and always put in 100% effort.
We like it so much in Cyprus that we are planning to move there in the not so distant future.

It was mine and my boyfirends first holiday together. We was looking for somewere relaxing but also with abit of livelyness on a night. The hotel was nice and the staff very friendly. We went self-catering and i must say that the drinks were a little bit pricey but the food was really nice and at a good price. We stayed in a studio apartment which was lovely, with a pool view and air conditioning. It was a nice 5 minute walk into Protaras center with some great bars and shops. The hotel was also only 10 minutes away from the beach which had loads of water sports and great boat trips.
The entertainment on a night was a laugh and during the day it was quiet and relaxing around around the pool, with the hotel reps offering a range of activites to do.
Overall i would definatly recommend this hotel for all ages, it was the perfect first holiday!!

Been reading everybodys comments and i must say me and my family have been to tha artemis 5 out of the last 6 years and every time has been absolutly fantastic and we are planning to book for next year already.
Each and every rep, entertianer,bar staff and other employees have alwasy gone out of their way to make sure we had the best time its not just upto them to make your holiday its you as well, there is so much to do how does anybody get bored as one comment mentioned you can only get bored if you dont join in.
anyway looking forward already to the artemis in 2009 long may it continue being all inclusive.

we arrived 14 th may 2008 only approx 28 people in the hotel others were warned about noise coming from building work, we had no trouble. but they will be starting to build from now, Costas and Andreas bar staff were fab full of fun, and though in previous comments about reception that they were not helpfull. Olga and the other receptionist were more that helpfull.
The food was plentifull but sometimes cold, breakfast was quite good, drinks at the bar were good. The hotel rooms were kept clean but we could have done with a change of towels more often.
Emma and Steve did their best to entertain us and were always having a bit of fun with them.
Yes we would go back had a enjoyable time

We have just come back from this hotel. And had the holiday of a life time.Hotel staff real fun, and polite. The place is basic but clean. we went all inc: food was excelent. snacks right up till midnight, so no need to go hungry. But the best part for me and my friend was the entertainment crew.We played loads of games during the day. In the evening they would put on shows and everyone joined in. Steve the main man, was great, the entertainment was fantastic. Even at the end of the day , they took us out at night to show us the town took us for drinks, couldnt have asked for more. Steve heather tom and chico put them selves out to entertain, they did a fantastic job, hotel couldnt ask for a better group of entertainers. Well done keep it up. Local supermarket over the road, and it is only a short walk into town. Would recomend a night at the sphix, full caberet, Plenty of trips at a reasonable rate. Would go on the BBq boat trip, almost a full day worth its 20euros you get a free aqua diving lesson, and some water pull you abouts, when you get chance to go for a swim. This was real fun. Overall got to go again

just got back today overall good quality holiday food was slightly disappointing, but entertainment was good although there wasnt many people to entertain.
relatively well kept and clean hotel no sight of any creatures ib the rooms. pool quite small but nice nevertheless. good bar service, we all need that. good place for the kids my 2 year old really enjoyed it.

very disappointed with this hotel not worth the money, air con did not work and the rooms are very very basic and dirty.I would not recommend this hotel for many reasons one being a dirty pool, the whole hotel was going down with really bad ear infections.We are not really fussy and are usually very happy with a 3-4 star but this was more of a 2 star,Any way still had a good holiday as met great people there. Cyprus is lovely and will go back sometime but to a different hotel.

We booked this holiday then read the reports and panicked! No need, the hotel was fine, not four star but nice and clean, no creatures in sight and had everything you may require.
The food on the all inclusive was also ok, a good variety, again not Gordon Ramsay standard but what do you expect for the prices. The drinks on the all inclusive were local drinks only, however, they have a local version of anything you like for example Southern Comfort, Tia Maria, so no problems there. Milkshakes and ice-creams for the kids all day long.
The staff at the hotel were pleasant, hard working, and helpful. If you have a family the kids will love this place, it is within walking distance of the beach and centre, but to be honest we could hardly drag our little one away from the pool and the family games etc.
The only thing that tainted this holiday was the behaviour of some guests toward the end of our stay, absent adults with unruly kids who chucked food around in the snack bar etc. but there is a risk of that wherever you go. Maybe this family had visited before, leading to some of the reports about the mess!
I would definitely recommend this hotel, we're going to go back, and this is the first time we have ever planned to return to somewhere!

Just come back from Cyprus 3 days ago, I think it was very good because the entertainment was good especially with Andy, Emily, Michelle, Sammy and Craig!
The rooms were overall ok if I had to rate them it would be 5/10 air con didn't work good kept on leaking and maids came in when you were sleeping. Few robberies, frogs 1, dog with fleas, a rat, cockroaches and other. Warning never go down to -1 toilets on your own because it is dark and anyone can be down there but overall holiday was really good.

The Artemis is a great hotel in a great location. We went with our 2 boys age 7 and 8 and they loved it. Through the day they enjoyed the activities round the pool and by night the disco and party games. Andy is definitely in the right profession as him and Emily kept the kids entertained all day long and the boys were sad to say bye to them both. There was plenty of other things to do like pool tables air hockey and the arcades.
The food wasn't great but there was always something that the kids would eat. The snack bar service is fine too. We would definately return to this hotel without a doubt.
Protaras is such a lovely place that we wish we had booked for 2 weeks instead of just 1.
