Reviews of Summer Bay Resort, Kissimmee

This resort is situated on a natural lake that is as beautiful as it is fun. The lake has an abundance of largemouth Florida bass (some 10 pounds or better) and large bream.



Lakeside amenities include a 24 hour heated pool/hot tub between the clubhouse and the beach, a Tiki bar with a band on weekends and karaoke during weeknights, rentable jet skis, pontoon boats, two-seat powerboats, fishing equipment and bait, paddle boats, and canoes.



We opted for the pontoon boat and took a cooler with us for a day on the lake=$50.00.



Got a tan, caught fish, drank beer and enjoyed the ride!



The villa/unit itself was immaculate and very spacious. Two bedrooms, two baths and full kitchen.



There is a Publix grocery store accessible by the resorts main street and out on the highway there are literally hundreds of restaurants, hotels, resorts, entertainment, fun parks, theme parks, and variety stores.



Not to mention being 20 minutes from Disney, 35 minutes from Universal City Walk, and only an hour from Tampa and the gulf coast.

Myself, my husband, 3 sons and their friend stayed here for a fortnight last April. After a weird check in, which was across the street we then completed check in at reception on site. This was straight forward and simple. We asked for a first floor Condo which we got. The space was lovely with a full kitchen, laundry facilities etc.



The condo was a tiny bit tired but overall we were well pleased with the accommodation. The condo was cleaned and linens changed at the end of the first week. They had a lovely crazy golf, which was just being completed, a nice pool and evening entertainment. Our condo had a lovely view of the lake on which there seemed to be lots of activities for.



The resort was a fair way down the 192 approx 15-20 minutes from Disney.



Overall a lovely safe friendly place to stay, which seemed very popular with Americans and I would recommended it to anyone.
