Just come back from oludeniz, beauthiful place will definately be going back. The Dorian Hotel was in an ideal location, and some of the staff were brill especially Jack(don't forget the wedding invitation) Sezer, Tommy and Jim Carey, they were always smiling and made our time there really fun. As for the rest, well if you could raise a smile you must have caught them on a good day. My only moan really was that the food was never hot, good variety of food, but it wasn't given justice because it was always cold. Two good size pools and spotlessly clean with room service every day.
Good times

we arrived in the afternoon and we were told the food was awful the drinks were awful but the pool was nice. So first impressions not fantastic. The room was lovely and clean but we had no plug for sink or bath - never mind we could cope. The food did look that nice but we ate it and enjoyed it, we even went up for seconds. Pool beautiful. The time we had there was wonderful the staff were kind, the tourists were the problem moaning all the time and by the end of the 2 weeks this really got us down, we even ended up going out for a meal to escape the contstant moaning and trouble making. The only downside was that there was snack time but this was for an hour and consisted of burgers burgers or burgers it offered pizza but we found out they did not have the facilities for pizzas, the ice creams were not included in ALL INCLUSIVE which is disappointing as we have a 4 year old so a cheap holiday could turn out expensive!!! Overall completely enjoyable apart from the moaning british - IF YOU DONT LIKE THE FOOD GO TO BLACKPOOL AND IF THE BEERS NOT STRONG ENOUGH DONT GO ALL INCLUSIVE YOU RUIN IT FOR EVERYONE ELSE

Just returned from the Dorian hotel, where I stayed with my partner for a week. After reading several reviews on this website I was slightly concerned about what we had got ourselves into! This was the first time I have been all inclusive, however we where both really surprised; in a good way! Yes the food was a little repetative and of a turkish theme, but what do people expect from a 3 star hotel when they are in a foreign country?! The staff in particular in bar staff where fantastic and really made the holiday, eventhough the music from the bar was a little loud at times and was not all to everyones taste. The pool areas where always very clean and you where always able to get a sun lounger. The rooms where of a reasonable size and the cleaners came in every morning bar 1 to clean the room, however, to note that they only appear to change the towels when they are placed on the foor. I had a wonderful stay at the Dorian and would recommend it to anyone wanting a last minute cheap holiday.
loved it!

I have just returned from staying for 2 weeks at the Dorian Hotel, Olu Deniz. This was a last minute deal due to the poor weather in the UK, so it was a bit of a random selection. Before I went I looked at some of the reviews on here and thought I'd made a big mistake. How wrong I was! OK, so if you want 5 star luxury this isn't the place for you - but then don't book a 3* hotel! The hotel is immaculately clean. The staff are contantly washing things down and even the poolside loos were spotlessly clean at all times. The staff - without exception - were incredibly friendly, as were the people in the resort. Our room was small for the 3 of us (2 adults and a child) but we were unlucky to be put in the old block as the rooms in the new blocks are considerably larger. But at the end of the day the room was only somewhere to sleep, so it didn't really bother us. The food was far better than I expected having read some of the reveiws. Everything is cooked from scratch by the resident chefs (who again are immaculate in their chef whites) so if you want chicken nuggets etc you are going to be disappointed. The main courses are usually centered around chicken, beef or fish (and there is always a choice) together with veg and either rice or potatoes. There is an extensive salad bar too and a dessert buffet to die for! There wasn't a single day in the 2 weeks that I was unhappy with the food. I also read on here that the food is swarming with flies - absolute bull - every dish on the salad bar is covered with cling film. Yes, there is the occasional fly buzzing about but no worse than on a summers day in the UK! If anyone is planing to visit this hotel I would suggest go with an open mind and remember it is a 3* hotel in Turkey, not a 5* resort somewhere flash. Also remember that you get what you pay for. In my eyes this hotel is excellent value for money. I had a brilliant time and would definately use it again.
Excellent hotel

The hotel was excellent, very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly the bar staff, they made the holiday! The food was not the best but it was edible, it's just not what english people are used to, it is definitely worth going all inclusive for the drinks, the food is cheap enough to eat out. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody, and I will be returning next year The pools were fairly sized and it was one of the only hotels to have 2 pools in Olu Deniz.
The food was awful

My friend and I have just returned from staying at the Dorian Hotel. We could not fault the staff at all, they were more than helpful and very friendly. The room we were in had three beds and a large wardrobe space, although it did smell musty/damp, so we didn't use it. The balcony was very small and could just about fit two chairs on it if we closed the door. The cleaners deserve a medal for their hard work and the room was spotless. It was a nice hotel, the two pools were ideal and there didn't appear to be a shortage of beds. Now onto the food ...... If you are a vegetarian don't bother - the only food available to me was salad which was the same every day. When I mentioned it to Happy the restaurant manager he said he had asked his boss to improve the menu but his reply was "they've got a cheap holiday what do they want". The restaurant was infested with flies which was very off putting. I lived on water melon - if I got there before the flies did!!! A lot of the guests complained about the food and noticed that it was mainly geared towards the Germans. There was no entertainment at the hotel either. If the food was improved and something could be done about the flies [they didn't seem to be anywhere else in the area] I would visit the Dorain again, but not while it is the way it is at present.
Excellent hotel & staff

3 adults (70, 43 & 35), 1 teenager (17), 1 child (4). We have just returned from a week at this hotel and felt that I had to write a report giving my feelings. Upon arrival we were quickly booked in and luggage was carried to our rooms by a young staff member who was extremely friendly and courteous (limited English). The room consisted of 2 single beds with bedside tables, 1 sofa bed, double wardrobe with drawers beneath, table with large mirror above it, tv, air con. Bathroom had sink, bath and (excellent) shower. Our rooms were spotlessly clean - I was very pleased. The hotel has 2 pools - decent sizes and again very clean. There seemed to be plenty of sunbeds to go around - they could have perhaps done with more umbrellas for shade. I must add however, that whilst we were there Turkey experienced a freak heatwave so perhaps they do not normally require so many umbrellas? The restaurant is located overlooking the pool and bar area. Again, I found it clean and the staff very attentive. The food was delicious - buffet style, loads of salads, tasty desserts. During our stay, my MIL was taken into hospital. The staff at the hotel were great. We made numerous phone calls and so did they on our behalf and they did not charge us for any. They made space for us to stay on if necessary and I felt that the manager was most welcoming and hospitable. My husband always says that I am impossible to please and complain at the drop of a hat - this hotel managed to make me happy. I would definitely recommend and will certainly be back. I have been to Turkey many times and this is the best hotel I have stayed in.
Aka Dorian Hotel

We arrived at the Dorian at around 04:30am where we were met with 3 chaps willing to get us checked in and take our cases to our rooms. Although we booked a Jacuzzi room overlooking the pool in the new block we were advised (The evening before we flew out) that due to a dispute with the local council the Jacuzzi rooms would not be available. We ended up in Room 116 which was in the old block but still overlooking one of the pools. The rooms are very small although extremely clean. 1 small cupboard is provided for clothes with 3 hangers. We were lucky to only be staying for a week otherwise we would have to live out of our suitcases most of the time. The rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels each day. The cleaners deserve a medal for the standards they keep up. A small fridge is included and each room is supposed to have a TV. We did not have one and did not receive this until the day of our departure which was quite annoying. The Hotel is located at the top end of the resort and around 500m from the main Olu Deniz beach and about 200m from the main shopping street in the centre of Olu. The Web Site for the Dorian is accurate in respect to the pictures of the complex. Most of the Hotel staff are good although you do not see much of the reception staff apart from the daily safety deposit box (10 YTL for a week) visits or when checking out. The Restaurant staff are fine where Happy is the Manager. He is very glad to meet you on arrival but this did seem to lessen the longer we were there as he initially want to get you to go to the jewellers (Infinity) as he knows them. Sometimes his comments became a little tiresome and my wife ended up being annoyed with him due to some of his side comments when trying to make a joke. You could tell when he was a little stressed by the look on his face. We preferred U**** (or Jack as he wanted to be called for some reason!!) as he was always in a cheery mood and was always happy to help. As far as entertainment went it was nonexistent. The Web Site states a weekly Turkish Night but this was not the case. The only music is from the bar which played mostly Turkish music. A TV was there but was mostly switched off. A Pool table (with only 1 cue) and table tennis (At the new pool end). The drinks were fine although we do not really drink that much alcohol but found them OK the twice we had one. I was a bit surprised to see the Bar man fill up a large water container from the outside tap near the Hotel. It was the same one people washed their Cars with during the day so BE WARNED the water containers they have in the complex may not be the bottled water you think they are!! The Hotel has a few resident Goats and Ducks in a caged area behind the main complex and has a market onsite. The complex is infested with flies which really puts you in a negative mood while either at the pool or in the Restaurant especially. There are no deterrents for the flies and in the end became very annoying. Even our insect repellent didn't help that much! The worst part of the complex is certainly the food. We are both not picky eaters but we found the food most days to be inedible or very close to it. The food is so bland and tasteless most of the time and lacks any form of variety. You will get chicken, beef and even fish stew with aubergine and fish kebabs. You would have one of these on offer with rice and a vegetable stew as the second option. The only other extra good main meal was the Chicken Doner but was the only meal served by the chef to limit the amount of food given to each diner which I thought was a bit strange. The food on offer was repeated after each cycle had been offered as we went back to chicken stew on our last night. The soup was pretty similar most days but did have a little more flavour. The bread was good and was eaten by a lot of the guests. The salads on offer were the same each day although infested with flies. Normally around 4 desserts were offered each day (sometimes different) although again, infested with flies. For the first time I have seen in Turkey what it seemed like Health Inspectors came and took samples of all portions of food on our 3rd day which worried us a lot as it was done in full view of everyone in the restaurant and the manager and all staff all looked extremely concerned during their visit. I ended up losing 9lbs on holiday which is a first for me. My wife lost weight to although she defined the food on offer a "detox". All in all I would not return to the Dorian due to the Food although I understand they are going back to B&B next year. I would rate the complex close to a 2 star but certainly not a 3 or 4 star as some operators are advising. I suspect that most reports will come back the same as a lot a people we talked to during our stay had the same complaints - Bad Food. You get what you pay for so I cannot really complain too much as we paid £254 for the week AI although I have been as honest in my ratings and comments as I think appropriate. Next time I will go to Olu but to a Hotel I know and trust.

Mavi Akdeniz...aka.. Hotel Dorian Oludeniz..Fetiye Having stayed in this hotel for six nights...two adults and a nine month old baby..the hotel is described as a Four Star Hotel. When we arrived on first night..staff were charming..having negotiated a deal for 6 nights at 50 lira per night for our room..We were happy that we had a got a good deal.. .clean rooms.nice pool and the food was ok... No T.V was provided for 3 nights..despite us asking many a time..each time we were given a pathetic excuse..eg.. your room does not pick up reception..it seems that our room out of the whole block was the only one affected..when we ourselfs..noticed the room next door had become vacant...we asked for their T.V from the cleaners..Once plugged in the T.V worked fine.hooray T.V for the next 3 nights. as with a baby you are stuck indoors. We constantly asked for an electric kettle in our room..so as to warm up the baby food..alas same pathetic excuse.. the entire hotel did not have a eletric kettle. Therefore we had to buy our own.. Check Out Time.. having asked for the final bill from the hotel manager..a portly chubby man in his 30.s. Instead of expecting a bill in the region of 300 lira..we were given a bill of 600 lira. Having queried the bill..we were told by the same manager..whom we had made an agreement to pay 50 lira per room per night..That he had not made this agreemant with us..despite a third party witnessing this agreemet.. Therefore we had to pay the full season rate..50 lira per person per night..rather than 50 lira per room per night. Do not fall into our trap..learn from our mistakes and enjoy your holiday..which ever part of the world it may be. BE AWARE.. I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND THIS HOTEL..

We returned last week from a weeks holiday at the Dorian. This is the worst all-incllsive holiday I have ever encountered. The fod was cold and inedible as well as recycled and there was no children friendly options other that at 4pm each day there was cold burgers, chips... more
