When I read all the reviews I had mixed feelings but nevertheless I wanted a beach holiday with some kind of nightlife. The hotel is basic but clean and could do with a face lift however you get what you pay for!! (someone wrote that they had the same towel for the whole week, our room was cleaned every day and we had fresh towels). The staff are great, very helpful and gives your holiday that little bit extra that leaves you with a smile on your face. The food I would give 10 out of 10 and the entertainment at the hotel will make you laugh out loud. If you are looking for a quite holiday hotel this is not for you but if you are looking to let go drink great cocktails and have a laugh this is the place for you. I will be retuning later on this year!!

This hotel if you can call it that resembled a hostel. My friend and I went in September last year the room was tiny and we had to use the same towels all week. We knew it was going to be basic but basic was not the word! The waiters hassled us all week and would not leave us alone! The brochure said that it had a pool but it was covered up for the whole of our stay. Will never be back!

If you are looking for an early night, then this is definitely not the hotel or the location for you. My friend and I enjoy nights out on hoiliday but this one had the really loud dance music playing until after 1am every night. When ours closed down, the one next door continuted until 2am so there was no chance of getting to sleep before then.
The bar staff were friebdly but one man in particular on reception was very rude and made you feel that you were disturbing him even just to ask for your key. He never smiled once and was quite rude on the night we left.
Hotel is a bit rundown inside but good enough for a place to lay your head even although you don't get much sleep.
However, on saying this, we would definitely never go back again, even if we were offered a free holiday there.

What a great holiday. OK the rooms are small but ive stayed in marmaris before and they seem standard. That said the shower and ac were perfect. The Sun Gezgin gives you the full Marmaris experiance without having to leave your hotel. In the heart of the resort with a superb restaraunt (you must try the steaks)and full on entertainment every night, Belly dancers, Breakdancers, Michael Jackson (looking awfully well). During the day murat will keep you glass and belly full on the beach ishmail "Smile" will be at your service for lunch wilst the loveable Tony and Tyler will pander to your ever whim on the night. Amanda and I enjoyed every minute. Add to this all the wonderful sights and sounds of Marmaris Boat trips Jet Ski etc. What more do you want. Cheers to Tony Tyler and all the wonderful staff

If your booking a twin room for you and a friend (not partner) make sure you are close friends as you will be sleeping side-by-side for your stay...and I mean side-by-side, one miss judged roll over and you will land on top of them. Room is very small and beds are so close together...air-con is a must at this time of year but £25 (pounds not lira!) it is a bit on the pricey side for just one week. One good time saver is that you are able to sit on the loo and wash your face at the same time.
For it being a twin room obviously there will be 2 people sharing yet there was only 1 electric socket and 1 seat on the balcony???....also worth mentioning that balcony is easily accessed from other room balconies so make sure you lock up.
Faulty Friends bar/restaurant attached to hotel - food highly recommended and staff very nice and eager to please/help. During the day there are free sun and as the hotel is on the beach front your garanteed a spot. Entertainment a bit repetitive, seen Michael Jackson show on all 7 nights I stayed there but overall a good show and a fun night. Hotel is in a good location for all ameneties: bars, clubs, shops etc.
Cleaners were friendly, rooms where very clean and linen/towels change at least every other day. If you’re looking for somewhere to just put your head down at night and to get ready to go out then the hotel is more than adequate. You get what you pay for with the Sun Gezgin and a holiday is what you choose to make of it.....Happy Holidays! :)

After reading these reviews I cant help but agree with the majority that this hotel is am absoloute farce, it looks nothing like it does on the brochure pictures, it is dirty and falling to bits. On arrival we were greated by a very rude receptionist who informed us that he would rather be in bed then dealing with us even though we had travelled all night to get there! After having to pay for air-con and a safe box that was situated in reception to which we were only told its location after paying for it therefore non-refundable, our room was disgusting, smelly, with no elecetricirty working and the door leading to the balcony was broken, we did not get clean sheets or towels until day 3 after we had to ask. The staff are very rude, not liking it when you want to eat out as their food was awful as was the service and entertainment. The pool was the size of a puddle surrounded by tables and a huge stage....not very ideal. The staff are very greedy and ignorant always asking to keep your change for tips and trying to drag you on the dancefloor even whilst you are eating a meal. Music went on till way after 1am, which was just a constant banging. Would never ever recommend it to anyone. Hassled everynight and not able to ever relax, even when lying on the beach.

As a family we holiday in turkey alot as my husband is turkish and we met and married in marmaris, so myself and family have seen and stayed in many hotels and let me tell you this hotel was absolutly shockingly [--].They have actually named themselves which is the biggest laugh of all faulty friends after faulty towers which says it all.On arrival we were stood in reception after a really long journey to find they hadn`t even had our request for a cot or top floor room, as i have a 11 month old baby a cot was a must, but we couldn`t have a room on top floor as they were all full, which was fair enough, the reason we wanted a top floor was because we were on beach front close to the bars so we new we would experience some noise and we were also warned about this from reception staff after agreeing to spend the first night on first floor and if to noisey we would move rooms, what the staff had failed to tell us that 90%of the noise was coming from our hotel,the entertainment started at 10pm and finshed at 1am,with no double glazing to shut out the noise you can imagine how much fun we had trying to get baby to sleep, and the cot we were provided with was not safe.We had to pay extra for air con which i thought was a right rip off as we had already payed over the odds for this hotel, we unfortunatly lost our first holiday after company going bust so you can imagine we were even more disappointed.The pools were dirty and tiny,as many people have mentioned in reviews the hotel does not look at all like it does in brochers, these fotos must have been taken about 40yrs ago or more, the hotel is falling apart and is dirty,the staff were rude and after i spoke my mind about the state of the pools and hotel i was the least favourite guest,was made to feel uncomfortable, but at this point couldnt care less.The staff didnt like you spending your money else where and one evening when we were going out they even ran after us for money to pay the bill from that day as if we wouldnt pay,and asked us where we were going.we decided not to eat in hotel after first day, it was over priced and they kept selling us adult meals for our baby, and the high chair was absolutly minging,every breakfast time i would have to take the staffs shoes off it and ask for it to be cleaned but after seeing the cloth they were using decided best to clean it myself, really unhelpful and they spoke to me like something on the bottom of there shoes.We spent our days at the ynus hotel where we had our wedding party, they were happy for us to use there pool and facilities.so beware peps this is not a hotel for familys,your ok if ur single and female and spending your money there,and ok if all ur doing is sleeping in rooms, as they are another story, small everthing falling apart,lights dont work etc.This has really put us off ever going back to marmaris and thats sad, as i have had many good hols there. kellie x

right people after readin some of these reviews about the Gezgin i found it only fare to type my opinion...
I can't believe some of the things people have wrote-fancy complaining about the lift!! wot the hell do you go on hoilday for..to get in lifts..or to have a nice time and enjoy yourself???
OK the lift is tiny...SO WOT!!
there's nothin wrong with the reception,as someone else was moanin about in there review..
And i will admit the room we had was tiny but there's easy ways round that,we went on holiday to chill out get drunk and catch some rays...and this place is 100% perfect for it..
OK the staff...couldn't do enough for you..friendy..helpfull..N very polite...
the service in the Bar/restaurant was probably the best i've ever experienced..at any givin time there were at least 7,8,9.waiters there serving on you..fantastic..
the food from the restaurant was fine no problems wotsoever...
not to mention directly outside was the beach with staff from the Gezgin waitin on you hand and foot there aswell...
so with my holiday it was me and 2 mates..
so wot we did was 1 went up to the room to get changed and ready to go out,that way you have the room to yourself,then when that person's ready he comes down and another goes up to get ready...how hards that!! simple...
so in my opinion,if you want somewhere thats situated in a good area for entertainment,plus plenty of bars..this is the place for you...
i'd go back there year after year...no problems...
So people stop moanin about little petty things and go there and enjoy yourself..it really is a great place...
the point deduction i gave it was for the breakfast..not so good..to be honest..
but thats nothin compared to the plus points of this Hotel..

i went to the sun gezgin hotel back a couple of years ago.. absolutley loved it, didnt wanna come home...
going back this year with just the girls so will be a really good laugh, the rooms are a bit small but are only used for sleeping and getting ready,
the staff were brilliant when we went last time,they would wait on you hand and foot when your were lying on the beach...
the beach is right infront of the hotel which is a bonus because in someplaces you have to walk for a while fora bit of sand

last year was my first visit to marmaris and my first visit to the sun gezgin hotel. the staff are so welcoming and really friendly people. the hotel ıs really nice.. its got everything you would need.. iron... hairdryer...clean sheet and towels everyday!!!! couldnt ask for more really. the beach is right outside the hotel and its free so you dont have to pay for the sun bed or umbrella. the restaurant/bar under the hotel is the best bit. its called the faulty friends. the atmosphere in here is great. the food is amazing and the portion sizes are huge defonately get your moneys worth. the waiters are really energetic they will get you up on the stage and dance... some even come dance around your table...so funny!!! they have break dancer shows, micheal jackson show, traditional turkish dancing etc etc.. and not forgetting the fish bowls and cocktails... when you buy a fish bowl you also get the lads dancing around your table with sparklers and shooters .. well worth it if you ask me!!! im going back in 2 months cant wait!!!
