The River Garden apartments does what it says on the tin, basic with a lovely pool and polite, helpful staff, it is a budget break and this shows as the rooms are a bit frayed around the edges. But realistically you dont go on holiday to sit in a room, Alanya is lovely and the beach is fantastic, public transport is readily available and cheap and the market is a must. I enjoyed my time in Alanya and plan to go back as soon as finances allow, my kids were treated fantastically by the staff who are always there to help. Value for money? yes, its a budget hotel and this shows, the pictures used in advertising show the hotel honestly, it looks the same in real life, across the road a large hotel holds lavish weddings which we could watch from our balcony at night. The morning prayers were an eye opener but its a stunningly beautiful country and 100 times better than overpriced Spain, dont forget to haggle for bargains.

Well what can I say Alanya is lovely, but the River Garden has one saving grace, its pool. As for daily cleaning, its a joke, look under the beds (filthy), and in seven days my sheets were not changed once(they need to be in a hot country). I cut my feet on broken bathroom tiles and came home with a terrible rash(not sexual), the towels were only changed if left them on the floor and the bar staff who constantly leered at my 15 year old daughter made me extremely uncomfortable. I would never ever recommend this hotel as it does'nt deserve 3 stars, it rates 2 if you are lucky. This is not sour grapes as my holiday was great and Alanya is beautiful, with nice people and good food, the beaches are clean and the shopping wonderful. This hotel is run down and needs overhaul immediately, outside it is lovely but inside it needs more than just a coat of paint.

We stayed at River Garden Apt. this summer and were really happy with the accommodaton. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms well maintained and cleaned daily. Only down side was cost of air conditioning. Not much entertainment eise at Apt. But lost of local activity going on. All in all if you are looking for a quite relaxing low cost place to stay this is for you.

pleasently surprised to find a hotel that looks like the photos and not just clever camera angles!!
rooms were basic (that's the cheep and cheerful!!)
kids loved the pools which were a great size for such a small hotel.no problem with sunbeds!!!
staff were really friendly. Not much coming on at hotel but great little restaurant on site.
five minute walk to the beach, ten minute walk into to nearby town.
would stay there again if we return to Turkey..
hope this helps.

Very clean, friendly apartments. Usually very quiet- a couple of nights of enjoyable entertainment. Always seemed to be enough sunbeds around the pool. A couple of minutes stroll to the beach which was also very clean and sunbeds not expensive. Apartments are in a quiet area, however plenty of shops and restaurants within a five minute walk in one direction, or jump on a dolmus (bus) for 5 minutes and travel into Alanya town for 1 lira where there are loads of shops and restaurants. Overall, we all (myself, my husband and two daughters aged 10 and 9) had a fantastic family holiday.

I had hope to have my holiday in River Garden Apartments. But I arrived at the airport in Antalya and was told that I had to go to Club Sidar, due to River Garden being over booked. I was not happy about being put in a hotel that I hadn't book because of the company not doing there job.

The (Gumus) River Garden Apartments are clean and friendly and would definately recommend it over and over for anyone going to alanya..
The staff are extremely nice, and the pool is very clean, a little cold but it cools ya down after a hot sun bathe lol
The fresh orange juice they serve are from oranges straight off the trees in the garden... And they don't get flowers in a vase, no... They do a fresh arrangement again with flowers and roses from
The garden right on your table, unique and a joy to watch...
You don't have the same pressure off the the staff either that you get in other hotels or restaurants in turkey...
The rooms are kept clean and done everyday... The balconies are a good size and having a separate bedroom always wins it for me.... Hair dryer in bathroom, good power shower, kettle, toaster, 2 rings with all pots pans plates and cutlery etc... All I would say is take a tea towel and some tea bags lol.
The restaurant prices were between 5 - 25TL with an example of a 25TL being the gumus special which if you go you have to try... It's very tender beef in a gravy with onions mushroom peppers and bought to you on a flaming casserole it was as the name said special lol... The is Amish kebab was also delicious, infact I didn't have a bad meal there...
Lastly, cause I could go on for a while... If they have any special evenings on (eg.Turkish night or kebab night) give it a go, Turkish night was 30TL and included huge fresh buffet with hot BBQ of shish kebabs, meat balls, kofte, chicken wings, chips and veg rice. Along with turkish dancers and a belly dancer and a fashion show... Excellent value for money I must say..
