The hotel and description from this website matched the real thing - what a relief! Our first visit to Minori was well worth it and can definately say it is a nice place to base yourself for visiting the Amalfi coast, if you don't want to be in the thick of everything. We visited Amalfi town, Capri, Ravello and Vietri. Beach was a 5 minute walk as were the local restaurants and shops. Bus tickets cost as low as €1,30. The Hotel Santa Maria is the most disgusting holiday experience one could have!! The Hotel was dirty, the staff were bolshy & impolite, the food was worse than a third world menu, the rooms were dirty & very noisey. The pollution levels were a disgrace, plus there were cats everywhere in the hotel including sitting on the dining room tables. Our tour operator Airtours should be ashamed of themselves, and their representative Bev was absolutely useless. October 21st 2006. My wife and I returned from Minori and the Santa Lucia Hotel yesterday (20th). After we had booked our holiday, at the end of August, I searched the internet for information on the hotel, and, after reading some of the reviews from previous guests both my wife and I had some concerns. The Hotel Santa Lucia is an awful, charmless, place for groups. At night you can hear the karaoke that takes place in the restaurant. The street is extremely noisy, the owners unpleasant, the breakfast disgusting. If you have to stay in Minori, ask for a room on the backyard. If you can avoid Minori, and its pigeons filled beach, never go there.

We have returned from a week at the Santa Lucia in Minori. we were greeted with such a warm welcome from start to end, the people were very friendly and helpful, we will return. Thank you for a wonderful holiday. The food was good and the hotel was very clean, We can't wait for our next holiday, the staff were all really good at their jobs and made us feel special.

We booked with Airtours into this hotel for 7 days half board. The hotel was modern and whilst the room was on the small side it had everything you need. The shower was good and the room did have a balcony. However it did look over a very busy road night and day so it was impossible to sleep with the balcony door open due the traffic noise which was even busy at 4am. The big let down was the food. I like the food here. When I travel I remember the food most of all, and for lunch today they just served me a local specialty -- spaghetti "antica Minori," with walnuts and anchovies -- that was out of this world. The local wine from nearby Ravello -- some kind of sparking white -- wasn't bad, either. Everywhere you look it's spotless, probably because there is ceramic tile everywhere, which really helps with the "gleam" factor. I just stay now,everithing you must pay extra Parking the great problem in amalfi coast , they take 10 euros (12 Us dollars) a day Tv for see otherchannels you musy pay rxtra frigiaure you must pay 5 euros a day if you put something Breakfast is continental + ,not buffet Be carefull with them The hotel is clean , familiar but not simpatic

The Santa Lucia is just perfect. The family run hotel is clean ,bright and just right for the independant traveller . We were married in Minori in June 2004 and returned in June 2005 fo our first anniversary.,and the people of this beautiful place had not forgotten us. The welcome you recieve is second to none ,and the food is the superb,nothing is too much trouble . The rooms are small but have everything you need and are exceptionally clean. We are already planning our 2006 trip with family .

My husband and I spent part of our honeymoon in a suite overlooking the water. It was in November and the weather was perfect. When I made the reservation (all by email) I asked for a discount since it was low season and it was our honeymoon, and we got one. So it is worth asking for.
