Just back a couple of days and missing it already!!
I think a couple of reviews here have been mixed up with Aphrodite Hotel, which is right on the main strip+i'm guessing didnt let u take food into ur rooms. We were in the Aphrodite Apartments (the yellowy buildings in picture) and it's at the top of the strip - so not too noisey and it's not a problem to get food from supermarket and take it into rooms.
Pool area is gorgeous and never had a problem getting sun loungers.
Pool bar is reasonably priced and the food is really good.
There is a sign that says no food/drink bought outside pool bar to be brought into pool area, but we always took bottles of water and the occassional bag of crisps and saw other people doing the same - as long as u dont have loads there, dont think they mind.
Rooms are clean, but basic. But to be honest with you - how often are u in ur room on holiday! Balconies are large and its great to sit out and have a few drinks before u go out for the night.
Staff all seemed friendly....apart from their security guard!! Me and my mates got walked home from the strip by some guys one night and he pretty much chased them away cos they didnt stay there!! Suppose, just doing his job :P
Dont let the distance to the busy bit of the strip worry u - we would walk down to a restaurant, have dinner, then walk down and maybe stop in a bar for a cocktail before continuing - only takes bout 25 mins tho to walk it in one go - we were just lazy!
If ur thinking bout booking here - just go for it!

Hotel was good, pretty clean, average sized rooms but, the shower was basically a hole in the floor with a hosepipe, one of the beds was literally a retired sun lounger and the manager......well, me and my mates were making a bit of noise, he walked past watering the grass and instead of asking us to keep the noise down, he decided to put his hose pipe on jet and spray us all for about 5 minutes, aswell as soaking the inside of out room in the process!!!! Locations good, nite life is AWSOME!!!! But if you do stay here, word of warning, watch out for the unhelpful, rude and arrogant manager and his watering hose!!!

i enjoyed my holiday in Zante the resort was good with lots of clubs and pubs!! Medusa was good and coktail and drems was popular had lots of signs on taxis but i never went there! nikos was also good!! there was lots of places to eat i iks the candian bar not quite sure of the name! but its down the side street not the main strip!!! the hotel was nice clean and quiet its all that matters really!! it was on the main road though and only had a small fence blocking it from the road but it wasent noisy like i thought it was going to be !! the owners were fussy with bringing food and drink into the hotel but aslong as you hide it when bringing it in and get rid of the rubbish who is to know ?? There were a group of scouse boys on the bottom floor which made some trouble but were asked to leave the next day which was good.. i heard some review about the maids nicking things from your room, i couldnt tell you if this was true as i locked my stuff away every time i went out just to be on the safe side! This was a bit of a pain though!! over all the hotel was fine it waz the oppisite end of the beach but if you walk 5 mins you start to hit the main resturants etc!!! oh and 1 more thing!! the breakfast was a bit ruibbish was just cereal and cheese and crakers really nothing hot the orange juice was nice though!! theres plenty of places you can get a breakfast from for cheap though so its not a problem! Am going again next year!!! lucie age 18 plymouth xxxx

Best holiday i have ever been on.
The rooms were clean, apart from the odd lizardy thing knocking around! Gorgeous room, if your lucky you will get a room on the ground floor and then you can jump over the wall and the swimming pools right there! Lovely hotel, great food at the bar.
Just a wonderful holiday.
Short walk to the main restaurants and bars. Nice walk back at 6am in the morning! A bit more of a walk to the beach though on a hot sunny day- but if you get a taxi you can bargin with the taxi driver.
Best nightlife ever, cos its not a huge place you get to know the bar staff and their all fab!
GO!!!!

I go here almost every year and as all the Greeks the owner is extremely friendly. It's both family and couple orientated. It has spacious aroom with wonderful views surrounding the resort. Also because it's further away from the town centre it's quite peaceful. The locals are very friendly and have facilities from your bsic shops and tavernas to waterparks and glass-bottom turtle boats.

The hotel was very clean. I have no idea whatsoever as to how people work out that the staff were really friendly and always wanting to have a drink with you? The reception staff were rude, the manager was ignorant and barely spoke to any of the guests let alone the staff.
You weren't allowed to take food or drink to your room other than what you bought in the bar area which was WAYYYY over priced! They wanted 9 euros for a bottle of wine you could buy for 2 in the supermarker over the road.
The amount of drunk guests falling into the reception area at night was disgusting!
A guy had his wallet stolen from the room he was staying in, when he asked the reception desk for help they said what do you want me to do?
Absolutely appauling!!!

The accommodation is great family run business, its about 1 mile from the strip, in a nice, quiet area. A taxi costs 6 euros to the strip and 6 back was no bother.
Everyone staying in the hotel were friendly and nice. Mostly English, but some Greek and Italians were there. Definitely the best pool I have ever had on a holiday. Oh, and the food is great too. Great holiday, would recommend to all.

I and my partner went on holiday to Zante for 2 weeks it was so nice the weather was fantastic.
The studios that we stayed in were really nice, there was a couple of dogs at night that would bark most of the night so listen out for those when you go there.
The staff in the hotel were really nice and friendly and the people in general were really nice we enjoyed our holiday and would love to go back there next year.

My husband and I arrived on a scorching May afternoon, we were hot, tired and totally fed up! All that soon changed, after being greeted by Magda, one of the partners wives, we were shown to our studio in a welcoming, informative manner.
After literally dumping our bags, we headed over to the stunning pool bar for a refreshing drink and met the rest of the family who own the complex. What can I say? We felt totally at home and relaxed immediately. The pool bar was well stocked and served cheap, tasty, freshly prepared bar snacks (including full breakfasts). Later in the day we visited the nearest taverna (literally across the road) called Miltiadis Corner.
I would heartily recommend this place to anyone. Fresh local cuisine prepared by the wife of Miltiadis at very reasonable prices, the special of the day could be had for just 5 euros. Overall, this holiday was one of the best we have ever had, stunning scenery, extremely friendly business owners, great food and wonderful local wine.

Myself and my Girlfriend took a Thomas Cook flight from Cardiff to Lagana 2 weeks ago. We had booked at the Aphodite apartments (not hotel) for 2 weeks. Upon arrival we where greeted by the cheery owner who kindly gave us two free shots and we where then shown to our room. It was basic. A small ringed hob to cook on, fridge that didnt shut, pretty grubby shower but standard as far as greece goes. There was a small patio out the back with no view. So my girlfriend thought she would try her chances and we asked could we get a pool view. They spoke in greek and then obliged. We where taken out of our current room and upgraded to the pool. Our room was right in the middle on the bottom floor. It was fantastic. Such a difference. The light was shining in, the facilites where alot better, the fridge was cool and closed, and the shower had a holder on the wall. Generally better. We settled in and went and got air conditioning and saftey deposit box for 90 euros for 2 weeks, which wasnt too bad. The food in the bar by the pool is reasonably priced and absolutley delish, would recommend their 'club sandwich'. The also have every kind of beer and drink and ice creams etc all at ok prices. There is a supermarket 2 minutes walk from the apartments and they have all the essentials however you can get stuff for 1/2 the price if you look around as we discovered, so we walked down to another supermarket quite often, called 'discount %'. The walk along the strip right from the very top is one of a dangerous one, but there is a path and lighting 80% of the way. Its the lunes on their quads and mopeheads racing that make it dangerous. But there are many people that walk so don't feel like you will be on your own. The walk to the clubs and bars and restraunts is about 20 minutes from the apartments which is the only downside but when drunk with a big boys in hand can feel like 2 minutes. The beach at lagana is about 30 minutes, however it would be recommended not to go to the right hand side of the beach as there are cigarette buts in the water and chavs everwhere. If you go down to the left then this is much nicer, further on is kalamaki beach with the turtles which is much much nicer. If you don't feel like walking you can rent a quad bike as we did for two days is 35 euros which is very cheap, and this is right by the apartments next to the cyber cafe. We would recommend to see the local area otherwise not accessable by foot. There is a fantastic little island to the right along lagana beach by the harbour, its along a long wooden bridge which has a bar in the rocks and great load of fish for snorkling and is quiet. The weather was fanstastic the first few days however as we found out september is rainy season... and when it rains it RAINS. The thunderstorms where monstrous and long lasting. Would not recommend the end of september to go here, as you are not guarenteed the good weather. However we fell lucky and it was 30*C most of the 2 weeks. In the evenings you can walk down the strip to restraunts BUT beware of a place called 'FANARI STEAK HOUSE AND MEXICAN BAR' - this place opposite the mini golf and go cart place rips people off!! they put specials outside and don't stick to the deals and demand money off you at the end of the meal. The staff are also extremely rude! but as far as we know the majority of places are ok. Partiularily a western bar run by this english chap on the left of the strip you can't miss it walking down from the hotel. He is very kind and generous. We had a fantastic 2 weeks there! and thought the hotel was basic but nice, and it was cheap and what we paid for so you can't complain. Finally the morning we left more free orange juices where supplied by the owner.
Would recommend for any age of people, familys and friends and couples. Go out of season if you want more quiet and less raving. The clubs are fantastic and would recommend any as they are all free!
Enjoy!
