I cannot recommend this hotel too highly. The accommodation, food, friendly staff, service, etc were excellent. As a single person, I found my room had all the amenities of the larger rooms with all rooms having a balcony and fantastic lake view. The hotel is in a lovely... more

Room under standard for a 4 star hotel!!! from A TripAdvisor Member
We stayed at this hotel in early July 2006 with temperatures 95 degrees most of the week.The room wewere given on the5th flloor overlooking the lake was far too small for 2.We thinklooking at the fireescape drawings that it was a single room.The aircon in the room did not work properly despite repeated requests.In fact the aircon throughout the hotel was not good. Food was just about passable with about 2/3 choices of main course at dinner and no coffee or tea allowed with evening meal. The free shuttlebus to Limone only hasroom for 8 and some spaces are taken by staff swapping hotels.It only runs 1.5 hourly most of the day not at all in the afternoons so as a result we spent about 75 pounds on taxis.We were led to believe we would be able to walk and we are not elderly but there are 2 long tunnels on theroad and 1 has no pavement.I doubt it would be allowed in the U.K to walk through it.It would be impossible to walk through these tunnels with children an accident waiting to happen. The only good thing i can say about the hotel is thast the views are amazing but i will not return.This cannot be a 4 star hotel.
A Fantastic Holiday from A TripAdvisor Member
We went to Hotel Panorama for our summer holidays and really enjoyed it. The food was great and changed each night. The buffet style breakfast abd tea suited our family fantastically. There was always salad and two styles of Italian Pasta. The different meals came from all over the world in cluding German food and British food. The Staff were very kind. If you need instructions even if its just "where are the towels?" ASK THE RECEPTIONIST. We firstly asked the cleaning lady and she only spoke Italian. The rooms were small but they'll suit you if you are just using them to get changed and go to sleep in. There is a TV but only has German and Italian channels apart from CNN for English news. The pool was usually full with German children but if you want a quiet swin go to the indoor pool were it is usually quieter. To get down to the village there is a mimi bus which comes about every 1hr and a half. There is also a path leading to the village but takes about 20mins to complete. Overall this holiday was superb and would recomend it to anyone.
Wonderful hotel from Debbie024
We have just spent a week in the Hotel Panorama for our anniversary, and found it to be a wonderful hotel. The rooms were a little dated, but very clean and comfortable, and the view was fantastic over the lake. The staff were brilliant, so friendly, nothing too much trouble. We enjoyed the 20 min walk into Limone, again such beautiful views - we took so many photos! We thought the food was excellent with lots of choice at every sitting. We spent some very enjoyable evenings in the bar after dinner with some great friends we made, listening to the live music (twice a week). We would definately go back to the Panorama again.

Previous reviewers were right on the button: the Panorama is a great hotel but is very, very badly let down by the standard of the rooms. We only saw the inside of the room we were in, with the occasional glance into other rooms when they were being cleaned. I think we got one of the smallest rooms and it certainly had a TINY balcony. Barely enough space for two of us to sit out comfortably. The decor is truly woeful - dull, depressing, badly thought out and awful, dark colours that did nothing to help the size of the room. On the plus side, I would happily stay at the hotel again (on the basis that we got a bigger room over the pool) because of all the nice stuff. The staff were probably the nicest we've ever experienced in a hotel. There was a nice, warm almost family feel to the place. The view over the lake is spectacular. If you don't mind walking, there's a bit of an, em, exiliarating, walk down to Limone - 20 mins but you need to be pretty fit for the walk back. There's a courtesy bus if you can't stand the walk. Food wasn't bad, but I'd prefer to see a lot more local influence - and portions could be a little small, depending on who was serving.
Great Hotel with a view to die for from DiddyDi
Just got back from a fantastic holiday at the Panorama Limone. Location 20 mins walk from Limone Town Centre however the Hotel provided an hourly all day shuttle bus service until 11.00 in the evening. The room was a bit on the small side and a little dated but very clean and adequate. We were lucky enough to have a balcony view across the lake which was absolutely fabulous. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Food choice was good with something for everyone. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would definately consider going back. Fab hotel on all counts from Rencat
We enjoyed our stay so much that we are going back this year in June. The hotel could not be faulted for its fab views, friendly and helpful staff and great food. Not overrun with people so plenty of room at the poolside etc and in an ideal quiet location, only a short walk from town. Recommended.

My husband and I recently enjoyed a 7-night stay at the Hotel Panorama. The room was fine if a little dated, but the general atmosphere of the hotel was fantastic. The staff were really friendly and helpful - food excellent - and views over the lake wonderful. The walk into Limone was easy although a path right up to the hotel would be good! I would love to visit again!
God awful rooms from A TripAdvisor Member
My partner and I have just returned from a weeks stay at the Hotel Panorama and were extremely disappointed with our room - it was like stepping back in time. The bedding, carpeting and bathroom were definitely not up to Four Star standard. The hotel staff were extemely friendly and obliging, however the overall feel of the place was "cruise ship chic". We did have a great view over the lake and also of Limone, but I can honestly say that neither of us will be booking into the Hotel Panorama again. Not unless it's had a complete refurbishment.
Exceptional Hotel from A TripAdvisor Member
We stayed at the Hotel Panorama in June 2003 and enjoyed our stay so much that we went back in August 2004. The hotel is very friendly and welcoming, and the staff go out of their way to be helpful. There are superb views of the lake and the food is plentiful and extremely good. The public areas are very comfortable and there is a happy atmosphere throughout the hotel. Our room was not very big but it was clean and had a lake view, as do all the rooms. We felt very at home at the Panorama and will return again.
Disappointing Food from steveellis
Stayed at the Panorama. Lots of discrepancies with the rooms. Some good quality, others very poor, particularly in size. Food not to the standard of 4*. Food invariably lukewarm at best, sometimes cold, especially breakfast. Don't cash sterling travellers cheques at the hotel reception. You will receive a very poor rate. Go to the bank in Limone.
