Enjoyed a 2 week holiday at Hotel Panorama. Although it is a little way out of Limone it has the best and most spectacular hotel location that we saw at Limone - with a peaceful pool and tennis court accessible directly from the hotel, no paths or roads to cross.
However if you are bothered by noise from other rooms - don't go to this hotel as the walls are like cardboard. We moved rooms after 4 nights to a much less nice room but with no others either side as we were being woken at 5.30 each morning.
Some guests bring their dogs to stay and their barking was annoying at times. We also witnessed people stealing food from the dining room to feed their dogs.
Despite this, the reception and bar staff are some of the best and most helpful that we have ever met and we did have a really lovely time with very good weather.
The walk to Limone is a 20 minute march and a 30 minute stroll - would be difficult in very hot weather and is more uphill coming back to the hotel. The main road is very dangerous and there should be clear warnings not to walk through the tunnels as we were told a tourist was killed in 2008.

We have just returned from a fantastic honeymoon at the Panorama and would recommend the hotel without hesitation. Due to a flight delay, we arrived at the hotel after the restaurant had closed, but were pleasantly surprised to find a pleasant cold platter awaiting us, along with a complimentary drink from the bar.
Our BEDROOM was relatively small, but clean and well decorated. However, we could hear voices clearly from the rooms on both sides, plus snoring and other nocturnal sounds!
The BATHROOM was fine, but lacked a bath.
The BALCONY was small with two plastic chairs and a round plastic table, but the view across the lake was breathtaking! There was no road-noise, and the peace on the balcony was only interrupted by the occasional ferry passing in the distance and the relaxing sound of crickets.
The hotel is situated just outside the lovely small town of Limone, which can be visited on foot using a safe path remote from the road, or the complimentary hotel minibus. Ferries can be taken to other lakeside towns at reasonable cost.
The buffet-style RESTAURANT is open between 7am and 10am for breakfast and serves a variety of good hot and cold food, albeit in a German style. Dinner in served between 6.30pm and 8.30pm by chefs at the buffet counter. There was always a wide choice of food with a separate salad buffet. Again, we felt that the food was more Germanic than Italian, but was perfectly acceptable. During dinner, one can help oneself to unlimited soft drinks, wines and lager.
The outside POOL AREA is relatively small with plenty of plastic loungers with PVC cushions. The hotel does not provide towels for pool use, but they seemed content for guests to use the bath towels, which were changed daily. During our stay (the first week of the school holidays) there was not a problem with guests reserving beds and not occupying them. There was a poolside snack bar open between Midday and 4pm. The LAKE was accessible via steep steps from the pool area. There were a few loungers by the lake, which was very peaceful and cooler than the pool terrace. The lake was cool and clear.
The hotel does not permit CHECK-OUT beyond 10am, but there is a courtesy room with shower and toilets. We did have to dispute our bill on checkout, because there were several large bar transactions that were not ours. The bar staff use Pocket PCs to take orders, but they do not request sight of your room key, nor do they require a signature for the purchase. When they serve the drinks, they give you an itemised till receipt. We kept all our receipts and the reception staff graciously removed the disputed items. We discussed this with the manager later, who said that the bar staff should be more careful when entering the room number into the Pocket PC. I told him that there could be no dispute if the guest is asked to produce their key and sign for their order. He said that his staff should be more careful and that disputed transactions are taken from their wages.
We would definitely consider returning to Lake Garda and the Panorama. The location is outstanding and the hotel is close enough to the wonderful cities of Verona and Venice to make trips a necessity.

Just returned from 1 weeks holiday in Panorama Hotel Lake Garda. Had a great holiday great hotel, staff were very friendly, food was great, especially evening meal, free wine with dinner was also great.
Music in the evening was also great. Bedrooms would need a little decoration to bring up to 4 star and our room needed to have shower curtain put up. Also bring your own hairdryer and kettle as no tea making facilities in room.
Lovely walk into Limone town took about 25 minutes and was quite hilly but there is also a courtesy bus running from hotel which was great.
Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

I cannot recommend this hotel too highly. The accommodation, food, friendly staff, service, etc were excellent. As a single person, I found my room had all the amenities of the larger rooms with all rooms having a balcony and fantastic lake view.
The hotel is in a lovely location with easy access to Riva (8 mins on local bus), Malcesine (20 minute boat ride), etc. There are so many beautiful places to see and explore around the lake and further afield such as Verona, Venice, and Dolomites.
Two weeks is not nearly enough time. Energetic guests can take the lakeside walk into Limone in approx.15 minutes or take the free hotel bus which only takes 5 minutes to the harbour car park.
The evening entertainment in the hotel was very enjoyable. The staff were the friendliest I have experienced out of many, many hotels. I have never revisited any holiday destination, believing that there are so many exciting places to see in the world, but this is the one exception I would make.

We have newly returned from the Panorama Hotel in Limone on Lake Garda. We had absolutely no complaints. The views were wonderful, the staff were great. They were friendly and couldn't do enough for you.
The bedroom spotless and the chambermaids wonderful. The food itself was buffet style and also excellent. We enjoyed the 25 minute walk down to Limone. A very beautiful walk. Missing it already! Fantastic holiday. Well done to all at the hotel.

We have just had 2 weeks at this delightful hotel.
The rooms were spacious with the most beautiful views over the lake and mountains.
Staff couldn't have been more helpful, food was plentiful loads of choice, Limone is a lovely little village with ferries to Malcesine and Riva both worth a visit, also the cable car up Monte Baldo is worth a go bit scary in places if you don't like heights, but the views were worth it.
The walk to Limone is nice, we did it on 2 occasions there is a path just a short distance from front of hotel takes you all the way, don’t like some people try to walk on the main road this is very dangerous, there are tunnels to negotiate.
There is public transport outside hotel, reception will give you a timetable, we went into Riva only cost 2 Euros and took 10 mins very easy, also the minibus will take you into Limone, it only holds 7 people but if you are unable to get on in Limone the driver will come back for you, or you can get a taxi which costs 8 Euros we did that on a couple of days.
We also went to Verona beautiful city, well worth a visit, and had a day in the Dolomites that was fab; only downer it was raining and misty but wouldn't have missed it.
All in all a wonderful holiday would recommend it to anyone. Pauline England.

Recently returned from Hotel Panorama, Limone. The rooms are a little smaller than most recently built hotels and they are a little on the old fashioned side. However, the rooms and all public rooms are spotlessly clean and the rooms enjoy spectacular views over the lake.
Food was very good with lots of choice. Staff simply could not do more to make your stay pleasant. Limone itself is a beautiful small and easy strolled village about 30 mins walk from the hotel. Downhill most of the way so walk to the village, but not back to the hotel - use the hotels mini bus. Would we go again - tomorrow!

We have just returned from a 4 night break in the Hotel Panorama, Limone. The hotel was lovely and all rooms had a lake view which was delightful. The pool is beautiful but VERY cold as is the lake. The food at the hotel is fantastic with plenty of choice. Wine and beer are on tap in the restaurant during the evening meal too.
The hotel is a little way out of the town centre, which takes approx 30 minutes to walk. There is a free shuttle but this has quite long breaks in the service late afternoon and early evening.
There is plenty to see and do in the area, which makes the resort as relaxing or busy as you wish it to be.

My husband and I have just returned having spent a week at 'The Panorama Hotel' Limone, and what a brilliant week we had. The hotel was first class, the staff were friendly and helpfull, the choice of food was amazing, and the views were out of this world.
It was a pleasant walk to the town, but there was always the free minibus if you did'nt feel like walking back, as it was a bit of a climb, especialy if it was hot.
I would definately recomend this hotel to friends.
