We have just returned on Friday from Turkey and spent a week in Aegean Princess, we loved every minute. We arrived at 4 in the morning and we were greeted by a very pleasnt guy called Ihan, he made us feel very welcome. The apartments are spotless and have maid service everyday. The pool area is small with a smaller childs pool, sunbeds are available by the pool and also on a seperate piece of grass beside the apartments if you just want to sunbed in peace and quite. The bar staff, chef and manager are all really welcoming and friendly and enjoy a bit of craic and banter. We where slef catering and did have a few meals and they were great, really loved the ceasar salad. They is two small supermarkets and a cash and carry close at head, if you perfer to cook yourself. The only downside I would say is that if you are in the apartments at the back you do not have a great view as you are close to a seperate hotel/apartments and do not get much privacy on your balcony. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, however when we return in September we will probably stay somewhere closer to the town.

Having just returned from 2 weeks at the Aegean Princess Apartments, Marmaris I am confident this review will be useful to others thinking about Turkey for the first time.
After 15 years consecutively visiting Turkey I can honestly say that the Aegean Princess Apartments are one of the top self catering establishments in which I have stayed.
The rooms are huge compared to the Turkish norm and adequately furnished. They do not have all the equipment you will find in the new complexes owned by Airtours, Thomas Cook etc but everything you need is in the apartment.
The rooms are cleaned on a daily basis and the whole place is immaculately clean. A credit to the cleaning staff and everyone who works here.
Outside the pool area is small but perfectly adequate with a separate grassed area for relaxing sunbathing. Enough quality sunbeds for everyone without the need to reserve them. The whole sunbathing and pool area is again immaculately clean and tidy and best of all completely litter free.
The food available at the apartments is of an excellent quality, plentiful, well presented and pretty cheap.
The staff throughout are excellent and for once you will never be hassled in anyway. All the staff at the Aegean Princess Apartments cannot do enough to ensure you have the perfect holiday.
The area of the Aegean Princess Apartments is near enough the town centre and the beach front. Only 20 minute easy walk to either. The number 2 dolmus which goes to Marmaris Centre is just outside the apartments.
The area is extremely quiet and entertainment, restaurants and shops are only 5 minutes away. Something in the area for everyone.
Now for the bad points it is £15 per week for the television, but your on holiday why do you want the telly.
Air Conditioning is £50 per week and it is needed.
Other than the 2 points above an excellent accommodation.
I would recommend this accommodation to virtually all holiday types, families with children, couples, elderly and disabled.
For what you pay, these apartments are excellent value.
I for one will continue to use the Aegean Princess Apartments in the knowledge that as long as the current standards are kept, you won’t find better.

just returned from our family holiday in Marmaris, staying in the Aegean Princess this year.Had a lovely time in Marmaris again, this time visiting Turunc, going over to Rhodes and the jeep safari, Cleopatra castaway (an absolute must do!).The only slight disappointment was the said accomadation, for the following reasons- lack of storage space for a family of four. The maid service minimal even though she came everyday! The pool area & sun garden clean & tidy but four parasols between approx 200 guests was extremely poor;hence people moving to other hotel pools.on a positive note the staff were extremely polite, very helpful & friendly (Danny,Adam & Messi especially). This hotel is a good base to stay, very relaxing & enjoyable. Just don't expect 4 star!

I was very skeptical about going to turkey (marmaris) it was our first time .We arrived early hours in the morning and was greeted by two smiling faces ,then shown to our room .The accommodation was spotlessly clean an very roomy with everything we needed. The maids cleaned the room every day ,fresh towels where left at the end of each bed every day .The staff were amazing an hopefully will be friends for life especially Danny,Jimmy ,Adem,Messi an the lovely manager who i nicknamed smiler !They made us feel very welcome our little boy didnt want to leave.Nothing was too much trouble for them i have never experienced such courteousness and consideration will definately be coming back .The food was 5star never a complaint with it , we ate out in local restaurants which were also very nice around the area .We booked excursions in the booking office facing the hotel i would deffinately recommend them we went on the boat cruise twice also the jeep safari all were great fun !! I dnidnt think two weeks was long enough staying here, we are considering buying a property over there because it is a beautiful place with a beautiful culture .see you soon guys from nikki ,gary and boys xxx

me and my boyfriend just returned from this hotel, as a first iompression, the area of armutalan in which it is set seemed very tacky and not what we expected. the hotel room was spacious, and the air conditioning was good, but it was only in the bedroom, and our room was a studio that was available also for parties of four and there is no way you could have slept in the lounge. we were self catering, and luckily were planning on going out for our meals because the facilities were lacking, no kettle, oven, toaster, just a little portable hob and fridge, that didnt work, it was as hot as the room, which we did tell the hotel staff, but nothing was done about it. we didn't visit the pool once on the holiday, it was very pleasant and peaceful, but we just preferred to go to the beach. we only ever ate at the restaurant twice, and it was only breakfast which was very cheap at under £2.50, and very nice. there is little to do close by, you have to walk into marmaris or get the dolmus, the beach is not too far away but in such hpt weather it is hard work! maramris beach is very crowded and the sand is incredible painfiul on your feet! and gthere is not chance of children being able to build sandcastles as the sand is lacking, as is the space, but the sea is beautiful ad very clear. there are plenty of water sports on offer, if you do try oe do the flyong shark! so much fun but be prepared to ache in the morning! we ate at thwe marina everynioght, which is more expensive than elsewhere, but stil, cheap. there is a distinct laxck of local cuisine other than kebabs, and many of the restaurants have unbelievably similar restaurants! restaurants to recommend if you was a more original meal is the drunken crab, which is a very small restaurant at the start of bar street believe it or not, completely out of charcater of the rest of the area, it is very cheap and does amazing meze, and the satff are lovely, just one man and a lady who i believe was his daughter. if you get the chance pre order the paella and go back for it, its 60lira for two, but well worth it, the best meal i have ever had! there are also two restaurants right at the end of the marina which are quite high up, both very nice, especially keyif, has a lovely menu, lovely swetting and great house band, although agaon slightly more expensive than elsewhere.

First impressions were great, Lovely hotel with a great poolside and plenty of room to lie in the sun. The first week we arrived was very quiet which suited us however as it came closer to july the hotel began to fill up with children.
As a group of 5 lads we didn't feel welcome within the first few days. We were getting blamed for every complaint within the hotel. Noise complaints were coming our way of times we weren't even in the hotel.
We quickly settled into the hotel when we had our first drink at the downstairs bar. It almost seemed as if they picked on us until we spent money in their hotel. Before then we were taking beers that we had bought from a local shop up to the room to save on cash. Outside drinks are not allowed to be consumed by the poolside or bar to ensure they make greater profits.
Air conditioning was charged at £50 a week so we went without as we found that extortionate. We managed to sleep with the aid of alcohol but the heat of the room became too much throughout the day especially in the upper floor rooms.
The staff were friendly enough however watch out for Ahmet(jimmy) as he was hot and cold with us throughout the two weeks we stayed, I believe mainly because the groups of girls within the hotel were speaking to us more than him.
Outwith the hotel make sure you go to Mayfair restaurant along from the point centre in the direction of the harbour. Here you get a great deal, 5 courses for 18 lira which is cheaper than £8. For this price you can get a great starter, bread, a main meal including steaks, ice cream and turkish tea. Also a large beer will cost you £1. Definately the best deal in marmaris.
All in all the Aegean princess was a great hotel for the price we paid however I don't think we will be returning.

This was our first visit to Turkey and needless to say it definately wont be our last to Turkey or the Aegean Princess. The staff are a credit to the owner as they are the most helpful and friendly people. Danny, Adam, Ahmed (zeppelin), made us feel most welcome, the food is definately 5 star rating and we had really tasty meals there even though we were self catering. The apartments were cleaned daily and fresh linen and towels seem to be the norm. These apartments are of a higher standard than we were expecting and we would definately recommend this hotel to everyone. Once again a BIG thanks for making out first Turkey experience a memorable one.

We have now been home for 1 week and I have been reading the recent reviews on the Aegean princess, Marmaris. We have been to Marmaris 3 times and stayed in Excelsior. When I first read reviews on he Agegean saying that the enterterainment was "lack of it" I wondered why. But once staying there I found all of the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The rooms are of a spacious size with plenty of storage space etc, the shower is powerful and the hotel is spotless. Though of an evening there is nothing at all going on, so you need to go out for entertainment. Would recommend the Chicago Bar, which is just up the road, great entertainment and good waiters, they are really friendly, had a ball with them. The Marina is gorgeous and the boat trips are tranquil. Had a great holiday and will return next year, just hope the Aegean have some entertainment because that is their downfall.

moved to this hotel at the last minute, looked nice on first impression, room was clean and tidy, boiling though because we were on the top floor, aircon only in the lounge, ended up dragging the beds through at night, too hot in the bedroom.
Quietish location, 500yds away from a busy street with a great selection of bars and restaurants, much prefered to the hotel, food was poor compared to elsewhere.
self catering app, only a fridge & a hotplate to work with, never used it , go to tespo for water & pop, much cheaper than any where else. For a great meal out you have to try a place called Great Corner Steakhouse which is found on the main street opposite Susan's Of Bolton ! We had many fantastic meals here and the service was second to none. A special mention has to go to Alex our waiter. He's a lovely guy and excellent at his job.
If you catch the dolmus outside the mini golf on the main street, it will take you to the harbour. There are cash points here and directly opposite if you go down this street and to the left you will find the best kebab shop ever !! Gorgeous food and very cheap. We would definately return to Turkey but probably not stay at the Aegeon again.

My first time in turkey and Agean princess is the most clean apartments i have stayed in the maids work hard the towels and bedding are changed daily, the staff are friendly but not to in your face the rooms are spacious with everything u need, however the air con is only in 1 room and ours was in the living area which ment the bedroom was still mad hot and the generator for the air con was on the balcony and as i had 2 small children if they were in bed and we were on balcony no air con could be used also the view from the balcony was a large tree so the balcony never got any sun very disappointing, the pool area is very small and does not have a shallow end for kids there is a seperate pool which is the size of a paddling pool only suitable really for toddlers, but we didnt let this spoil our holiday we used the hotel opposite which is also a thomas cook hotel and it was fabulous 2 pools 1 for children with slides and activities the main pool also had slides and pleanty of sun loungers dont be put off by this as it was fine it just doesnt cater for kids the food is fine the drinks especially soft drink are more expensive than other places but u find this with most hotels
