As seasoned travellers to the Greek islands (10) we pretty much know what to expect when we get to our destination, but nothing could quite compare to the Armonia apartments. The pool area stank of raw sewage for most of the daytime, The rooms were not up to much, and the maid/cleaning service was almost non-existent!
Any problems were not easily sorted out as the guy fronting the business side of things could not speak English and was DEAF!!
The resort of Anaxos is superb, plenty of fine eateries and bars. The beach is well kept and litter picked on most days. On the whole I give thumbs up to the resort but massive thumbs down to the Armonia apartments.

The resort of Anaxos is absolutely superb, plenty of nice eateries and bars. As for the Armonia apartments; the rooms/bathrooms could be a lot cleaner, the cleaners only swept the rooms and made the beds (no actual cleaning done).
There is a rather nasty smell of raw sewage around the pool. And to top it all the bar closes rather early (9.30. pm).

We have been going to Greece for the last sixteen years and when we arrived at the Armonia studios we were pleasantly surprised. We had the one family room which was very spacious, it had two sleeping areas which were both en-suite.
It was very clean compared to some we have been to and Dimitri and his staff were very pleasant. The only downfall was the Kosmar rep/Island manager he was useless, he had as much info about the Island as I had and I had only read about it on the internet! If you are a true Greece lover you will love Anaxos, it is very quiet and Greek!

We have been visiting Greece for some 15 years or more and have always been more than happy with our accommodation.
This year we booked for Harris Studios but 6 months after booking Kosmar said they had to upgrade us to the above property (Armonia). On arrival we could not believe that we had saved up all year for this, it was well passed its sell by date to say the least. This was nothing like an upgrade more like a downgrade. It smelled like a sewer was damp and so, so depressing. We did not unpack complained to both manager and rep, nothing was done, so we took the next step ourselves and moved out into a far better accommodation (Harris Studios).
We had to do this for our well being as the latter was making us ill. The move cost us 300 euros, and that money was to be for a hire car to tour the island. We have written to Kosmar, and the matter is being looked into.

Having booked our holiday at the Armonia Apartments this year and then discovering the reviews above afterwards, we arrived at the apartments wondering what kind of holiday we would have.
We agree that the rooms are basic, but spent little time in them awake! They were cleaned at least three times each week and towels were changed at the same time. A broken shower head was replaced the same day. Dimitri does speak English and he's certainly not deaf! Most of the staff are relations of his. He is also generous with the ouzo in the evenings! We had several night caps there after having eaten in one of the tavernas/restaurants beforehand.
The pool was cleaned every morning before 9 am, by Dimitri, and in the two weeks we were there never came across any unpleasant smells that came from the Armonia Apartments.
Anaxos beach is the best beach for miles. Despite this it was never really crowded. Anoxas itself is just the place for a quiet holiday with good food and a relaxing time. There were both young families and elderly folk there on holiday and we never once came across anything we could complain about.
Dean Webster, the Kosmar rep, was very pleasant and helpful. Whether or not he's there again next year will depend on Kosmar.
In a nutshell, we had a really good holiday there and we'd be more than happy not just to go back to Anaxos, but to the Armonia Apartments as well.
