Immaculately clean and was kept that way all through our holiday. If you have any problems then ask the owner or the cleaner and they will do their best to help you.
The gardens are beautiful and scented in the evening and this year we got a good show from the fire flies.
Stelios runs the Supermarket just round the corner and it is ideal for all supplies.
The resort of Nidri is in my opinion to be recommended to all as all the locals are some of the most friendly and helpful people that you can meet.
The Borsalino is just the right distance from the centre so that you can be quiet and relaxed if you require and it is only a two minute walk to the beach.
We have already booked for next year.

Have just spent two weeks in the Borsalino apartments in the lovely resort of Nidri. This was our second time in Nidri, we returned because we enjoyed it so much the last time we visited in 2004. There are lots of Tavernas to choose from, a favourite of ours was the Mistali, which is on the harbour. The food and service was excellent, Christos and his family were fabulous hosts. On the main road there is a small taverna called TJ,S which is run by a English couple, they do a cracking full english breakfast(well worth a visit). We chilled out most of our holiday on the beach, the scenery it is so beautiful, there are plenty of water sports and boats to hire. We did a couple of walks into the mountains, one to the waterfalls which is about 3klms. Really worth a visit.
It was our first time in the Borsalino appartments, they are very central to the beach, shops and tavernas. You can also use the pool and pool bar at the Hotel Bel Air, which is just across a small road. The appartments are near to the road which runs through Nidri and at times it can be noisy, this didn,t bother us, it all adds to its character and charm. They are basic but very clean, the maid visited daily and sheets and towels were changed regulary. The owner and her family all made us welcome and the grounds are kept lovley with an array of plants and flowers. It definatley lived up to our expectations and will definitely visit again.

My girlfirend and I have just returned yesterday from 2 wks in these nicely located and well kept, friendly apartments.
Please be aware of the ridiculously loud volume of non-stop traffic which quite easily penetrates the single glazed patio windows and caused both my girlfriend and I more than an acceptable level of sleeping discomfort throughout the fortnight stay.
I am a pretty sound sleeper and even when plied with many a measure of 5 star Metaxa
could not sleep through this ridiculous din caused by a mix of heavy duty Plant machinery to petrol tankers to motorbikes that clearly have had all forms of silencing removed. One night in particular we both thought that we were right bang in the middle of an earthquake but another gentleman told us next day he was sure it had come from a boiler room in front of the Borsalino (surely not another noise distraction!)
Either the Borsalino invests in double glazing or you increase your alchohol intake ten-fold if you want a peaceful night in there.
Having said all this, it may be that the right side of Borsalino is exposed (nearest the main road) more than the rest of the building but beware when they're looking you up and down to see if you like like you're a light sleeper or not before telling you which room you're in!

Just spent one week at these studios cleaned daily, enough room for moving around, If you intend to use the kitchen area there is no hot water tap so you need to boil up water or use water from the bathroom which at all time's was hot.
Bathroom as always small but it had a shower curtain which was a bonus we were on the 3rd floor but we had no view at all except the owner's property and the hire premises the noise was 24hrs non-stop!!
The hotel pool and Jacuzzi across the road that we could have used were dirty especially the Jacuzzi and there was no area for non-swimmer's as the pool sloped very quickly.
Nidri itself was not for us just a long road of tacky Souvenir shop's, the Taverna Tom's on the beach was lovely to sit in to enjoy our evening meal.
We hired a car and found Vassiliki and Aghios Nikatos two lovely places and we also went to many villages up into the hill's that IS recommended.
We won't return as we have been to far better Greek island's and also Parga on the mainland.

This small block of apartments as already stated are basic but very clean. Our room was cleaned daily much to our surprise, although bed linen and towels are changed twice. Air conditioning and safe deposit boxes were reasonably priced.
Nidri itself is a small bustling area, if you have young children and you go in peak season it could be very dicey on the roads. Also my only real complaint is the terrible traffic noise all through the night (so loud our windows rattled frequently).
The pool in the hotel over the road is available for use and is very nice and the beach although small and pebbly is clean and the sea is very calm. Don’t walk to the waterfalls although the signs say it is only 3km it is much further and the climb is not very safe. But if you are agile it is well worth the trek.

The Borsalino Apartments in Nidri are brilliant. Ideally situated for shops, beach and eating places and spotlessly clean with spectacular views from the 1st and 2nd floors.
Air conditioning available at additional cost (very reasonable) safety deposit boxes in rooms (also very reasonable cost) which is very convenient.
Lots of choice tavernas and restaurants to choose from both on the main road which runs through Nidri, and on the Harbour front just off the main road.
One in particular which I would highly recommend for choice & quality of food, value for money, good service and friendly staff is the Maestrali. We wished we had found it at the beginning of the holiday and we would have eaten there every night.
Nidri is a beautiful little place and the views from the beach are spectacular. Lovely friendly people and the Kosmar rep, Lucy, was fantastic.

Although the rooms are basic, but in this case they were well maintained and furnished and all have a small but useful balcony. The accommodation is family run and maintained, and I found them to be pleasant, friendly and helpful. The Apartments are fronted by a well kept garden area which is pleasant.
A room safe is available for a small fee as is air conditioning. The food preparation area could have been more spacious so some improvisation is necessary, but in fairness this is a complaint which most self catering accommodation (Greece or otherwise) suffers from. Rooms were cleaned daily which was not expected. No pool is directly attached to the accommodation, but the use of a pool which also has an attached Jacuzzi, is available to use in a hotel directly across a quiet road, which has also has a bar area and serves basic but good food.
It has to be noted that the accommodation is on the main island road which follows the coast, which could mean for some people lively and interesting with its bustling shops, bars etc., or for others somewhat noisy. This is of course a matter of opinion, but the road does mean that you can get a bus to the main town (which I would advise you to visit), and then to anywhere else on the island. The pebbly beach itself is accessed via a short walk.
The resort of Nidir itself is a contrast of busy bars and eateries, quiet restaurants, bustling shops and local culture. There are beach water sports. Boat trips, car and bike hire as well as shops all on the doorstep of the apartments. I have no complaints at all and would have no hesitation in recommending this as a good base from which to explore the resort and Island.

The Borsalino apartments are excellent, nothing fancy but adequate. What more do you need. Sitting on your balcony or terrace in the evening, with the pleasant aroma of the flowers in the small garden, a little piece of heaven.
The family who run the apartments are very friendly and always available if you need them. They have a small shop at the front of the apartments, which is very handy. You are not far from the beach, and the main street of Nidri.
You can use the Bel air pool next door ,which also has a snack bar. We have been to Nidri several times, and are always disappointed if we can not book into the Borselino studios, give them at try they are great, but don’t book when we want to go.

I have just returned from a fantastic week in Laganas where I stayed at the No name & Borsalino Apartments. The complex with the pool and bar is the Borsalino and the No name is located about a 1 minute walk away but with access to the same pool and bar. The rooms we had at the No Name are typical of all of the rooms within the complex and consisted of two bedrooms with two single beds in each, a bathroom with shower and a kitchen area with a sink, fridge, kettle and twin hob cooker. There was a coded safe in each of the apartments in the No Name and it was €10 for the week I think. The rooms were clean and tidy upon arrival and cleaned with the linen changed once or twice again during our week long stay. There was no security guard in the evening but as the place is tucked away there is really no need for this and when we returned home most evening’s with friends from other apartments we never faced any questions or charges for doing so, even when we may have made a little more noise than I think we should have. Apologies!
I really cannot praise Yannis and Elena enough; they both work extremely hard to make sure that everyone who stays with them has the best possible time. Yannis took the five of us out on his boat to see the turtle’s and then to see a few more sites, this was by far the best day of my holiday and I would recommend that anyone who stays here take the trip. There are several other turtle tour’s you see around but having a lovely little boat to yourselves give’s you much more freedom and Yannis know all the best place to go and see and is more than happy to load the boat with whatever refreshments you may like for the trip.
Food and drink at the apartments was all very reasonably priced with a pint of draught costing €2.50 and a large tasty bowl of spaghetti bolognese €4.50. I ate quite a few time at the apartment’s and was satisfied with every meal I had, one evening when we turned up late Elena even re-opened the kitchen just to feed us all before we went out for the night. We never took the option of air conditioning in our rooms but if I went again I probably would, it can quite stuffy as you can imagine and opening the back door lets in the mossies of which there are quite a lot. I would definitely advise purchasing a plug in for the room as they very small but some of their bites are not.
I cannot talk about the apartments without mentioning the pool. Yannis is very proud of how clean he keep’s his pool and you must shower beside before you get it. It isn’t the biggest of pool’s but it is more than adequate for the number of guest’s it serves and we spent most day’s next to or in it.
The location is about a 10 minute walk from the first of the bars and about 20-25 minutes all the way to the end of the strip where it meets the beach. The beach in Laganas is very narrow and always felt cramped when we were on it, also when wading out into the sea the first 20-30 feet are covered in stones and rocks but once you get past this it is all soft sand and stays shallow for quite a way out.
The bars and clubs in Laganas are great, we started most evening in the Pink Panther for a bit of karaoke before moving on to fishbowl, bar code and several others. As it was early September it did not seem as busy as Malia did over the same time period but that was until we made it Rescue. Rescue has bars on two floors facing the strip but it was when we first walked around to the back of the bar and through the double doors we saw where everyone was. This was by far my favorite club throughout the week, it was busy in there every night and the music was always good. One piece of advice would be that the drinks in the club are more expensive than the bar outside, €7 for a cup of vodka redbull is a little steep and €5 for a sex on the beach, 330 ml bottle of amstel was €3. However if you by your drinks in the bar you can take them into the club although the door staff will take it out of the glass and put it into a plastic cup. I wish I had found this out before the last night. Cherry Bay is another good late night spot and they both shut at 5am (although I believe Cherries does stay open until 8am on certain nights).
In conclusion, Laganas is great and given the trouble some of our friends had in there hotels, the Borsalino and No Name Apartments are well worth the extra 5 mins walk. I would most definitely stay there again.
