We just loved the Villa Barbaressa. We were right at front overlooking the beach, which although small , is lovely!
The Barbaressa has a taverna at front and family and staff are friendly and welcoming. They serve nice meals and snacks and have a popular Greek night on Thurs. I think, at which you may find the owners son , aged 3 or 4 joining in the traditional Greek dances and songs.
Its the proximity to the water , so you go to sleep with the sound of the waves lapping the shore that is the real coup, if you can get a beach facing apt.
The resort is not the most pretty village , but makes up for it by being charming and people are very hospitable in all Tavernas etc.
All in all can’t wait to go back a third time, but just heard today that Kosmar don’t fly to Athens as its gotten to expensive to land there. So Kalamata is now nearest airport they go to. Perhaps some other tour op. Does hols to Tolon...Hope so!!!!

The Barbaressa is in a great location . I have been to this location 4 times .Number 1 on my list.
The apartments are spotless and well looked after. You can step out of your apartment and straight onto the beach were you have the use of the sunbeds which are free . Dimitri and Lisa (owners) along with their children are a pleasure to be around.
Thursday nights are Greek Nights ,a must for all .Go and see the owners children dance , they are great . You can join in the fun if you want to.
Along the harbour you can take a trip to Hedra and Spetsies on the boat . If you are lucky you might see the dolphins.
You can get a bus into Nafplion (which was once the greek capital) were you can shop shop shop. Some days there is a market.
Have Breakfast , Lunch and Evening Meal at the Barbaressa Taverna, you will not be disappointed, the food is great .
