How anyone can honestly give a less than 11/10 for the Morfos makes me speechless.We have again had a brilliant time their. The owners are friendly and nothing is to much trouble, Rooms clean and linen chaged regulary etc but the main thing for us was the atmosphere, frendly,welcoming, relaxed, chilling time for both of us.Yes theres little to do for children or teenagers but for the over 30s-80s its a must. Go or miss out big time!

After reading reviews both on here and elsewhere I felt compelled to write an honest review of our time spent at the Morfo complex. The rooms were clean and well serviced and, contrary to other reviews, we found the owners to be courteous and friendly.Perhaps this was due to the fact we were the same to them? The pool area was always kept clean and we ate several afternoon snacks here too. It was a short walk to several decent restaurants, some better than others but all were trying hard to provide good service. We even had the pleasure of a spectacular Greek thunderstorm and spectacular lightning display one evening. We would recommend renting a jeep so that you can explore the idyllic deserted beaches around the island. We rented one for a week during the middle of the holiday and found this to be just right. All in all we really enjoyed a most relaxing holiday and would recommend Skiathos and the Morfo apartments to anyone looking to relax and unwind. So much so, we are going back this year!!

Skiathos is a pretty island, green and picturesque. Unfortunately, there seems to be too many tourists for the space available! Every beach is crammed with sunbeds, which maybe to some peoples liking, but not mine. I will say the that the bus service is very good and reasonably priced. Morfo studios in Troulos are in quite a nice setting. Pool area clean. Rooms spacious and clean and well serviced. The owners, unfortunately were a miserable bunch. Virtually no interaction with guests, not even a smile! We will not revisit the island - think there are nicer more genuine greek islands to spend a holiday on.

If you're looking for a "chilled", relaxed holiday - this is the place to go. There is not much for children to do so if you have little ones I would not suggest a visit to Troulos. Apartments are clean and spacious - towels are changed regularly (one little warning) do not leave the towels on the floor or they will not be changed!
Great clean beaches beautiful views. You do need to hire a car to see the majority of the island and the bus service only runs along the coast. Great food and reasonably priced. There is a boat that leaves Troulos and visits several beaches. We actually used it twice.
All in all a restful time and if you can get the weather its brilliant.

Stayed here for 2 weeks mid August 09. We had a great time.
We stayed in the apts at the top of the hill and its a steep climb but we got used to it. Apartment are spotless and seem to be cleaned every other day. Pool is good and had no problems getting sunbeds. Apartments cater for many nationalities but all seemed to rub along well together.
Drinks in bar are about the same price as everywhere and bar was always quiet. Food in the small taverna is good but limited in choice - we ate there once.
Note there is an extra charge for the safe, fan and aircon. Aircon was E80 for 2 weeks which is steep.
Location is ok and 5 mins from the bus stop but 15-20 mins from the beach. Beach is ok but crammed with sunbeds and we went there only once - preferred Achladies or Koukanaries.
Bus service is great and fairly cheap - just be prepared for the crush on board in high season. Town is about 20 mins and Koukanaries at the other end of the line 5 mins away.
Theres no real centre to Troulos so takes a while to find things. We ate at a few places but preferred town. Varelli is good and Paradiso opposite but really disappointed with Ambrosia which has too few staff so service ridiculously slow although food was ok when it arrived.
All in all we had a great holiday and cant fault the apts but not so impressed with Troulos - there are better bases on Skiathos
