Princess House Studios & Apartments

Having visited Princess House at least four times we have now booked again for their "independent year" of 2009, whch must say something. I hope many others will do the same.

This was our second visit to the princess house and will certainly not be our last. Harris and Maria, the owners, were devestated by the demise of XL. We told Harris and Maria that we would do everything possible to return next year and we implore anyone else who is interested to do the same. Since returning home Harris has phoned us to say that for next year he intends to go independant until he can find another holiday company. Harris, with the help of his son, intends to post his own website in the next two weeks, probably Princess House.com

After 6 great years at Princess House we are also worried what will happem now XL Leisure Group has ceased trading. I am waiting to hear from Harries as soon as I know what is happening I will post.
Or......if any one knows anything now please let us know.
This is a little gem of a place that regular visitors to Skaithos like myself and hubby would always stay here (we have tried lots of others!) nothing matches this.
Would recommend to anyone.

This was our sixth visit , as usual Harris & Maria were their usual friendly and helpful selves. We are so sorry to hear of the collapse of xl and consequently Kosmar. What will happen to the Princess House now? Is any other company taking over ? Perhaps Harris & Maria will go independent. They have lots of regular customers who return year after year. Does anyone know anything?

We have just had our first holiday in Skiathos staying at the Princess House apartments, and I must say it was the best holiday we have ever had.The accomadation was very good, the rooms were spotless and spacious, the pool was crystal clear it is Harris's pride and joy and he takes excellent care of it, as well as maintaining the grounds and apartments to a very high standard. Both Harris and Maria are two of the nicest people you could wish to meet, nothing is a bother for them, and they do everything to make their guests stay a very happy experience. The apartments have a gate which is locked at 7p.m. every evening, and that gives you an extra sense of security.
The town of Skiathos is a mixture of tavernas and bars, there is a lively club strip, which is set a little away from the main street, and all the little lanes off the main street make it very quaint and interesting to explore, there are lots of little bars up some of the alleyways, try the old port house where you can get a pint of draught mythos for 2 euros, ery good value, we did find it a little bit expensive, to be honest that was probably the only fault we could say about it.
We were caught up in the XL Leisure collapse, which was an experience, we only hope that some other travel firm give Harris and Maria a contract for next year so that we can book up with them again.

Have been to skiathos about seven times.Have stayed at prinsess house six of them .Harris and Maria are the nicest people you could meet we had our twenty fifth anniversery there and Harris came in with a bottle of wine and two glasses .you can not ask more then that to make your holiday special.Harris is in every morningat about six to clean the pool it is spot less.Have booked for next year but could not get in to prinsess house but will go and see Harris and Maria as we would take our first granchild to see them.The rooms are spot less you could not arsk for more from a holiday lovely people clean accommodation and a pool to die for.

Have been going to skiathos for the past 6 years & this is our 2nd time at Princess House, only because we havent been able to book it for the other previous 3 times, Harris & Maria are the nicest couple you could meet & cater for your every need & best of all they have had AirCon fitted into all of their rooms, already looking forward to going next year, beautiful island beautiful town, lovely tavernas & bars just the right amount, no karioke, no stag or hen parties, the ideal chill out holiday.

We have been staying at Princess House since 2003 and of all the Greek islands and studios we have stayed in, Princess House is by far the best. Harries and Maria have became our friends over the years and we cannot recommend highly enough.
The studios are basic but spotlessly clean, the pool is crystal clear, the small pool bar serves drinks, ices and toasted sandwiches between 10.00 and 19.00hrs.
If you are looking for loud music etc this is not the place for you but if you want total relaxation this is the place. It is at the bottom of the ring road junction to either the Harbour or the Airport so at times you get traffic and aircraft noise but you don't take any notice of it after a while. It's fun to watch the planes come and go!! Would recommend Princess House without hesitation.............but don't tell too many people!!!

The accomodation, pool and gardens are delightful and the owners-- Harris and Maria --could not be more helpfull and friendly. The location is quiet yet only a short walk to the bars, restuarants marina and resort centre. The supermarket and bakery are just a few yards away.
Even after 7 years holidaying on Skiathos, I still rate this as my ideal holiday.
