Came to Greece on a last minute girls holiday for an end of uni exams getaway! We were meant to book to go to Kos, yet there was not enough space on the plane for 6 people, so the operator recommended Summer Memories and Pefkos to us, and quickly researching, we decided to book our holiday there.
We had been travelling for around 10 hours, as we come from cardiff, our flight was from Gatwick, so 5 hours on a coach, 4 hours flying and the coach trip took around an hour and a half, as we were one of the last people to get dropped off, we were shattered but the scenary on the way to the hotel is just breath-taking, so i dismissed this.
Once we arrived outside, we quickly grabbed our suitcases and walked into the reception area, where George, the son of the couple who own it welcomed us and went through a couple of things before giving us our room keys and letting us go. there are no lifts, so we had to drag our cases up four flghts of stairs!
Upon entering our room, it was small, but for somewhere to shower and sleep, we didnt mind, although there is one double bed and a single, so two of us had the double, although the sofa is really comfy to sleep on when you're too drunk haha!
The sunloungers are not packed whatever time you decide to go to the pool, which was around 10/11 for us! the pool is quite cold so its best to just jump in and get over the shock quickly.
The hotel was more towards families with younger kids and older couples, yet us girls did not mind, as the younger kids wanted to hang around with us and we made friends with the older couples too.
There are lots of shops and restuarents around the hotel, whichever way you turn. We ate out every night at a different restuarant and every one was excellent!
The cocktails are yummy too! espeically in Summer Memories as Stavrous, another son, is on the bar at night, and me and my friend got through most of the cocktails on the two pages, although they are 5 euros each, apart from when happy hour is on, they are 3.50 euro.
The hotel also does a karoke night on sundays, which we rocked at and a quiz night on tuesday, which we lost :(.
Lindos, the next town is where all the teenagers are, as that is the town where all the clubs and bars are. Its 8 euro in a taxi to get there, but split between three of you its not so bad! Lindos in the day is also great, as there are lots of shops to buy whatever you want although we tried to haggle but they do not budge.
The trips booked through the tour operators are decent prices, and we booked a trip to Rhodes at 17 euro each. If you want to book a trip, i'd go though the hotel as prices may be more expensive when booking though the shops.
We didnt go to the beach, so i couldnt comment on it.
Even though Pefkos is more towards couples and families, I'd say that if you want a quiet girls holiday, this is for you, even though i can say ours wasnt quiet!

Fabulous location
We had a studio appartment and 1 bedroom appartment both very clean,
Couldn't fault anything.
Very friendly staff made us most welcome.

After enjoying our holiday in 2007 at this hotel, This year we went for 2 weeks as we enjoyed it so much.There was Very Nice Spacious rooms and spacious bar and pool.
The younger ones aged 16, 15 and 9 did enjoy the pool table, Air hockey machine and the ice creams which is located in the bar area.
Relaxing evenings around the bar; every Tuesday with Thursdays being quiz night. Very Nice owners especially Stavros who worked on the bar at night and helped put karaoke night and quiz night together.

Thoroughly enjoyed staying at these apartments. Fantastic apartments, well maintained, and very friendly owners made these apartments a first class place to be for my holiday. Stavros, the owners son was a fantastic host and was at the bar most evenings, daytime being covered by his dad, Vasilis who was also a very friendly host. His mum and another English lady did the bar at daytime and were very friendly. They must really enjoy what they do, and this was why I believe many guests I met returned to these apartments. The atmosphere was fantastic, everyone seemed to mix very well around the pool & in the evenings and enjoyed Stavros's Karaoke and Quiz nights. Most people returned to the apartments in the evening after their evening meal at the many wonderful restaurants in this resort. The 'crack' was good and throughout the stay everybody seemed to get on and mix so well, English, Scottish, Welsh & Northern Irish during my stay in August. I would definately recommend these apartments and this resort to anyone, and I will definately return. I have stayed at Pefkos 3 times and these are the best apartments yet.

Me and my boyfriend have just come back.. Lovely hotel the only thing i would advise is to bring your own toilet roll as you only get half a roll for a week.. Hotel staff and rep fantastic lovely and clean.. all shop bars and tavernas all close.. i would sugest buddies for a quieter drink and wild wild west and pefkos by night for a more lively night the guys who work there are excellent.. Lindos is in easy reach by bus or taxi lovely place too. if your after more water sports try kiotari the people down there speak really good english and have wild sports..
And finally thank you for our stay we will be back next year.

it was equisite delightful and a fully enjoyable stay stavros was a darling and george was better. the pool really came alive during twilight. overall it was magical.
so thank you for the best time of my life xxx

Brilliant place - beach, tavernas and supermarkets all within easy walking distance. Try dennis's next door, food is superb, real nice family.
Lindos is within easy reach either on the bus or taxi.
Summer Memories is a wonderful place, so clean. Vassilis and his family are so friendly and his bbq is great. We have been here for 4 years and have already booked for next year. We have also found Kosmar to be the better tour operator to Summer Memories.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed an extremely warm and friendly stay at the Summer Memories apartments. We were concerned that it might be too quiet considering we are both 25, but the town had enough going on to keep us occupied.
After each night before bed we were entertained by Stavros the barman/tour guide and his lovely girlfriend with a small nightcap. I think "shot" was his favourite word!
The room was basic, but had everything to suit our needs. It was cleaned daily by the cheerful cleaning lady. You could ask for air-conditioning for a little extra but it was well worth it. The price was very reasonable overall and good for a young couple who can't spend a fortune on the top hotels.
The town of Pefkos was perfect - we had a wonderful meal every night, and enjoyed the fantastic beaches during the day. We found a small beach with not too many loungers on it where we spent most of the time relaxing which had a small beach cafe with friendly owners.
We hired a car and travelled around the island one day which was great fun and saw the amazing sights. We were pleasantly surprised by the island.
We'd definitely go back as we had such a fantastic time - great entertainment, great beaches, friendly locals, wonderful hotel and a very warm welcome.

I searched the internet and was lucky enough to come across Summer Memories, and after sending an e-mail of enquiry which was answered really quickly, I booked the accommodation. I wasn't disappointed.
The apartment was clean and spacious, overlooking the pool & the sea (albeit in the distance!). The pool was small but had plenty of sunbeds and parasols - which were definitely needed. Although I didn't pre-book the air-con, after a couple of days we arranged this for 60 euros’ per week. The maid cleaned the apartment every day and was very friendly. Vasilis (the owner) and his 2 sons, George & Stavros, ran the bar and were English speaking, entertaining and great to chat to.
The food from the bar was lovely and my daughter loved the nutella crepes which she ate almost every day! The two beaches were within easy walking distance, as were all the bars and restaurants - yet without being at all noisy at night.
I think Pefcos is a perfect resort for young families and people who don't like to see lager louts falling off the pavements everywhere. There are no ticket touts or beach sellers trying to grab your attention so you can walk anywhere without being harassed ... what a novelty when holidaying abroad these days!

We just got back from 2 week stay at Summer Memories, George and Stavros (best Manchester accent in Greece) were brilliant. The rooms were spotless and cleaned daily by a very friendly old lady.
The resort at first impression looks quiet but comes alive when its dark. Our best restaurant was Hellas Garden and pub was Pefkos by Night, both to the left when leaving apts.
Only niggle was the transfer time on arrival from airport for Newcastle flight we did not get into our room for around 6am.
