I highly recommend these apartments. We stayed for nearly 3 weeks and had a great time. A 5 minute walk to the sea/beach or 2 mins to the centre of Icmeler. These apartments were very clean with large rooms. Daily cleaned and fresh towels every day. Very friendly and family run. No hassle what so ever unlike a lot of places in Turkey. These apartments seem very popular with english and dutch people, so no need to get up at dawn to put a towel on a sunbed to beat the germans. lol

These apartments have quite a nice position in the town - not far from the main supermarket and a pleasant stroll down to the beach area and town centre, whilst being quietish where they are.
Like most apartments in Turkey they are fairly basic, although we found them reasonably spacious, very clean and comfortable enough.
On the down side the air-con is only in the bedroom and it doesn't waft round into the lounge area. It was so hot when we were there end July beg August that we had to take turns in who slept in the lounge. Luckily there were only 3 of us sharing. The air-con machine unit was situated on our balcony and this blew hot air out - this meant that the balcony was generally too hot to sit out on at night.
The pool area was nice, it was never busy and so getting a sun lounger was no problem at any time of the day and they were nice ones with padded cushions on. The pool was however 6ft deep, i.e. no shallow end. There was a little pool for small children.
The staff were pleasant enough with one exception - unfortunately this was the man who was the only one who spoke enough English to communicate with, he just seemed to be permanently grumpy. On the whole I found Turkish people to be very friendly and welcoming but he was definitely the opposite.
Icmeler itself is a lovely resort, it is a beautiful setting, the sea is lovely and clear and there is absolutely loads to do. I went alone with 2 teenagers but were never bored mainly because we did loads of trips, which were good value for money.

This is the third time in two years that we have stayed at the selcuk apartments. The owners live in the apartments during the summer, so if you need any help you only have to ask.
The rooms are one bedroom with double or single beds. The living room has 1 or 2 double sofa beds, depending on which room you have. As per all apartments in turkey they are fairly basic, but they are clean and every thing you need is there. The rooms are cleaned every day and you get clean towels everyday apart from Wednesday when the owners go to run their market cafe. Which is also worth a visit just to try the Turkish pancakes. If you want the best of both worlds i.e. to relax by the pool in the day time or 10 mins to the beach. Then only 200m into the centre at night then this is the place. If you have been to turkey before you will know that you have to keep an eye on the Turkish waiter chatting up your daughter but not here.
There is a pleasant bar area with satellite TV and sofas as well as tables and chair. Caution doesn’t sit on the sofa too long they are so comfy you might just fall asleep. There are more than adequate sun loungers so no fighting with other guests to get one even at dinner time.
If you like it noisy, don't want to sleep at night. Don’t want to relax as and when you want then don't stay here.
If you want a comfy relaxing friendly atmosphere and a two minute walk to all the action then what are you waiting for.
If you have not been to turkey before you don't know what you’re missing. Ask around and you will find that once you have been bitten by the turkey bug you will be back year after year

We have just returned from a fabulous three week holiday in Icmeler.
We stayed at the Selcuk Apartments which were situated in a quiet but excellent location, a five minute walk to the local supermarket and only ten minutes away from the resort centre and beach, which is lively and full of shops, bars and restaurants serving the most delicious food. Walking in the opposite direction from the Selcuk takes you to the enchanting old village which is quieter and more traditional, here too you will find bars and Roses Cafe which is actually in the garden of her home.
Staying at the Selcuk was wonderful as the owners and staff were very warm, welcoming and extremely helpful. The apartments themselves were spacious and clean with all the necessary equipment you needed to make a meal for yourself should you wish to. Our children really enjoyed themselves swimming in the Selcuk pool, which was a good size and well maintained alongside a lovely mowed garden with flowering shrubs.
There were plenty of sun loungers available to guests at any time of day. We also enjoyed some brilliant days out, not to be missed are Lazy days, where you can swim in the clear blue sea, enjoy a boat barbeque and the stunning scenery, Gokova Special. picnicking in the park, Turtle beach / Dalyan.
We booked our trips through Icmeler Travel Centre who we also owe a big thank you to for finding and booking for us the lovely Selcuk apartments and arranging airport transfer, which was excellent. We cannot wait to return to the Selcuk in summer 2006 hopefully for four weeks.
