Our first time in Hariki, was not sure what to expext but it was very relaxed as expacted
which is just great for a total wind down, this was indeed the most lovely place if thats what your after.
The people are delightful, the Greek hospitalty is always friendly but then why would nt u be, we were lucky to get a room facing the sea on the second floor and right in the middle of the bay, perfect. The rooms are basic and no frills but this keeps the prices low but I am suprised there is'nt any luxury Apt's.
If you can stretch your bugdet for the air con this is well worth it, yes I know we all resent paying for this but hay, cool as a cucumber I were in the middle of the night.
I just hope this little gem of a find does not change much, will be going again some time soon. Miss Parisi did good on choosing this and I we enjoyed every minute of this place and each other. x
Ps our thoughts go out to the poor chap who passed away below us but what a place to go....

hi been to haraki 9 times staying in various apt featured with kosmar ,may i firstly say what a beautiful, friendly place haraki is.the greek people are really friendly nothing is too much trouble for them.all the apts are basic as is all greece, they are clean and the local owners take great pride in looking after them.haraki is simply a piece of paradise most of the apts are on the beach front and the local bars and restraunts are a few strides away, particularly, mike and athenas bar and costas and ellenas taverna .going back to haraki in july 2008 and again in sept 2008 for another most relaxing time in paradise!!

3rd time staying in Haraki which we love. 1st time in Stella apartments. Location just great - hard to imagine being any nearer such a lovely beach. Ground floor apartment which we shared with our teenage son. Basic standard of accommodation but certainly spacious. We loved sitting on the patio people-watching and listening to the locals bantering around us. I would advise taking extra towels as the supply was somewhat meagre but otherwise certainly good value for money.

my family and i have been going to haraki every year for the past 12 years, and have stayed in stella studios+apartments many times. the location is just superb and the view is always amazing. we have always had the ground floor apartment, which is quite spacious especiallyfor just the three of us.it is a little dated and basic but very clean, and to be honest you only use it to put your head down! over the years though we have found that its getting quite expensive to stay at stella, and we have stayed at several apartments in haraki which are cheaper and in better condition and still have that gorgeous view of the bay, going back again in may 08 but not to the stella.
lower the prices and we will stay there again!!

I cannot believe the other comments. We have just returned from Haraki. We were in a pokey little studio. One single wardrobe, one chair and store the cases under the bed.
There was ant infestation in the beds, whilst sleeping, and food. Workman came in, whilst having breakfast, and sprayed insecticed then said, 'Get out, fumes'. Being asthmatic I didn't need a second warning.
Hariki is beautiful but you can obliterate Stella for me. We are not first time Greece visitors, we have been going to Greece for over twenty years and we know what basic means!

As before what a view to wake to in the morning. Our 4th time in Haraki but never on the front before, but we have booked already for next year, same place.
Studio was basic but all Greek accommodation is the owners are lovely people. We only needed our studio to sleep wash and change in. It was lovely to sit on the balcony and wave to our friends as they walked past.
Haraki is very quiet this year and for the first week we had nobody either side of us but the second week we had 2 lovely families either side. Everybody was very friendly as usual.
We went back to see all our friends Greek and English - Mike, Athena, Kostas, Elena, Manolis, Dina, Dimitria, Pam, Les, Ken Sue, George and Harriot, to see the children again growing up fast but lovely kids.
Can't wait until next year, still trying to persuade my partner to have a week in October for my birthday (I think I will win ha ha).

Yes as a previous reviewer said "Wow what a view to wake up and see in the morning", I say this still with enthusiasm despite this being our 4th trip to wonderful little Haraki. This time we took our adult (!!) son.
Stella was nice & central (100 or so yards from the small village Platia and just 60 or so from nearest Taverna. Its very good accommodation, we had ground floor apartment with a patio, fronting (just 5 yards) the lovely beach and with that afore mentioned view. Decor and fittings a tad dated but apartment was clean and spacious, we had a one bedroom apartment.
Average size double bedroom at the back, and it had a big, big wardrobe & draws (sufficient for 4 people). It has kitchen/living/ 2nd bedroom area which was nice size with large fridge/freezer, kettle, 2 ring electric hob, lots of cupboard space etc cooking facilities adequate for a holiday (eating out is so inexpensive). It had AC but we did not use it as it was early May in fact we had a blanket on the bed, (1st time for Greece but also 1st time that early in the season).
It was nice sitting out on the patio watching the world go by, Haraki is so much quieter & laid back in May, although we still think June is best month.
Can highly recommend Stella and would say it runs neck and neck with Haraki Village Studios.

Returned to Haraki after a fleeting visit on a previous visit to Rhodes & it was as fantastic as we remembered. The Stella Studios offer basic accommodation but the views over looking the bay make up for the lack of comfort.
We had a one bedroom apartment on the top floor, the bathroom was in need of updating & I'd advise you to take your own bath towel. We didn't hire the air conditioning as we didn't feel the dated & rather small unit would make much difference in the August heat.
Haraki is wonderful, small, friendly & still typically Greek, we enjoyed lazy days on the beach & nights in Cocktails & Dreams doing just that!!! We're heading back again in June, however not to the Stella Apartments.

Wow what a view to wake up and see in the morning. My husband and I paid extra and had a one bedroom apartment. Small bedroom at the back which we slept in was hot but didn’t get the sun there till the late afternoon. Sat eating breakfast looking out over the bay was wonderful.
The kitchen/living/ 2nd bedroom area was huge with full size fridge, kettle loads of cupboards etc cooking facilities adequate for a holiday. 2 single beds on either side of room meant still had lots of room to move around. Owner was very helpful when we had a slight problem with a water leak (it was fixed within an hour of mentioning it)
Resort is fantastic woops shouldn’t say that or too many people will go and spoil it all.

The following review is of our brief stay in “The New Stella Studios”, Lindos, is in two parts. Brief meaning ONE NIGHT. . .
The first part relates to the appalling condition of the accommodation. Secondly was the attitude, rudeness, lack of personality and poor response from the Olympic representative, to save his blushes let’s call him “A”
I agree most accommodation in Greece is basic.”
I have stayed in “basic” but it has always been clean. The New Stella Studio 1, was filthy and in a state of neglect and disrepair.
On entering the building my partner and I were met by wet, rotting sheets under the stairwell, left there to stem a leak from a boiler.
The room was depressing and tatty there were crispy tissues, rubbish and thick fluff under both the beds.
The cooker hob was permanently switched on to a simmer setting, although there was no indication from the two lights that this was the case. The fuse was also wired into the fridge making it impossible to switch off without losing the use of the fridge.
The ceiling fan was inefficient and bare wires were visible.
The shutters were permanently jammed open with a wire coat hanger.
I took photos of the points raised but believe me you had to be there to appreciate the foul smell on the stairs and the depressing stuffy atmosphere of that room. We left after one night.
This brings me to my encounter with the Olympic representative “A” I contacted him within 2 hours, had he not run off so quickly after showing us the room I would have registered a complaint then. This was by telephone via his mobile dialled by the receptionist at the Olympic travel office in Lindos at my insistence. The call lasted as long as it takes to say “There is no other accommodation available in Lindos.”
The following day, we vacated the room went back to the Olympic office. It was “A's” day of rest, his mobile was switched off. Fair enough! it was his day off. I left the Stella Studio room key and my card with mobile number and a message to contact me ASAP.
We visited the Olympic office every day, each day he was never to be found. The Olympic office was always in darkness.
The girls on reception had no idea where he was or when he would be back nor would they give me his mobile number or ring him as they had done so once before. We were given two mobile numbers but this was for a doctor.
I finally caught up with him on Thursday at the dying embers of his dire “Welcome meeting” monologue which was peppered with innuendo, over using the words “frisky,” “tipsy” and photos of himself enjoying the delights of the trips he was trying to sell 3 for the price of 2.
He left his captive audience without welcome drinks, silent and all with the same expression across their pale white faces which screamed “Bored.” But I digress.
The stampede to book trips wasn’t as great as the queue for complaints. Everyone with a complaint or problem had headed for the second “Welcome meeting” in order to catch him. I was first in the queue.
When I asked him why he was avoiding me and hadn’t returned any of my calls he said “He wasn’t allowed to ring a UK landline under any circumstances, even in emergencies. He showed no sign of concern and was rude and defensive towards all of my questions. Before he ran off again We agreed a time the following day to meet, show him the room and register our complaint.
At 12.30 p.m. the following day the first thing we asked about were our transfer details. As we were no longer staying at The New Stella Studios he had no way of contacting us, although he obviously hadn’t realised this. He found our details and went straight into a well practised script about leaving our cases outside the room, with the key in the door. We stopped him embarrassing himself any further by reminding him of our situation. As the realisation flooded across his face, he then went into defence mode for the rest of the meeting. It was unproductive and all we achieved was a copy of the official report
After writing the report in silence he presented it for us to sign. I read it and pointed out that he’d made no mention of either my earlier phone call on Sunday 21st August or that we’d left the New Stella Studios after one night.
He then looked at his watch and said he was “15 minutes over his time.” We compromised by adding an amendment about the phone call but there was no space on the form to mention our vacating the property, as he’d used it all waffling on covering himself.
As we left the office I asked him how long he’d been working in Lindos. His reply was “I’m not going to talk to you anymore. Good-bye!”
That was the last we saw of “A”. He wasn’t interested in looking at the room with all it’s faults.
Avoid New Stella studios at all costs. It was not a cheap holiday and two months on I have yet to receive any apology or compensation from Olympic Holidays

My best friend and me wanted to go on holiday to somewhere hot and where we could definitely have fun. My best mates parents own a villa, which we visited in Rhodes last year. So Lindos was a good option for us.
We arrived with the rep to our accommodation. (the apartments are hidden away and are difficult to find alone.) The rep told us that the accommodation was simple. And that it definitely was.
One ring literally and one small ring which was apparently to make coffee on. These cooking facilities were situated at the end of the sink. (very dangerous). It was stated that utensils were going to be available.
We found odd numbers of knives and forks, plastic plates, one glass. A fridge, which was out of action. And an extra fridge taking up one of our two power sockets available for the whole room!!!!!! And only a few cooking pots not that they could be used on the cooking facilities available anyway.
A very thin door which resembled my bedroom one as a front door, which we didn’t particularly find comforting. No option of air conditioning, which was stated in the book, would be available to buy.
A shower/toilet in one room, with no curtain, nor shower tray/standing facility. Also the shower itself (handheld) leaked and was fixed with sellotape, which made no difference to the water flow. Broken locks on windows, the windows themselves looked as if they had a rotten wood disease, threadbare curtains the lot.
This accommodation was hardly what was explained in the book or by the travel agent. The picture shows a terrace. There is one terrace, which is shared by all of the rooms. We didn’t get a balcony because we were two floors up. With a piece of string hanging out of the window for our washing line.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. I spent five minutes in the room and we left immediately to find other accommodation.
The accommodation of other travellers, which were on the same plane and stayed at the new Stella had dirty sheets, human waste and food left all over their apartment as a nice welcome. I really wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone that wants to feel safe, clean and comfortable.
Lindos itself is beautiful, i recommend in Rhodes prasonisi, afandou beach and of course Lindos beach.
Before we left to go to Lindos we both read these reviews and i really do hope you will take into account the experience we have just had.
