only fault was our shower holder had broken so we had to hold it up untill we devised a cunning plan to tie some headphones around it to hold it up. other than that amazing next door to a small supermarket and 5 minute walk away from bar street. there is no one standing out side that wont allow guests in like some hotels.across the street tho is the bigger and more teen friendly stamos but rather than pay twice as much to stay there we just went over when we wanted. very nice people would stay here again!!! 10/10

booked our holiday through teletext, had thomas cook flights and the elarin hotel. we were a bit wary as some reviews were good and some were bad but decided we wouldn't be there enough for it to matter. When we got there we were thrilled. the rooms are very basic but they are clean, spacious and have everything we needed. they are perfectly situated - 5 minutes from the beach, 10 minutes to the bars- and nikos and eleni are a lovely lovely couple who will do anything for you.
the pool area is lovely, had no problems being in it on my lilo for a week!
overall this was the best week of my life and the elarin- although not a 5 star- helped make it. If you're fussy or a snob, don't come here. If you're looking to have a lovely friendly, amazing week, stay here. miss it already

I was disppointed to see so many bad reviews of the Elarin, I accept there are always little areas we are not happy with but the apartments are well situated, clean and spacious away from all the noise.Nikos and Eleni are always helpful, there is good food, thank goodness no noisy music, you can enjoy a good restful stay.Yes we found Lucy not as we would wish, Jason was OK.Thank goodness Eleni and Nikos are back in charge.Lovely place where you can enjoy a good holiday, I can really recommend the Elarin Apartments.Oh I forgot to say we have been there for the last 6 years(7 times)

Sep 2008, Miss R Walker

After arriving at our hotel in the early hours of the morning, we got off the coach only to fine that there was only one of two keys for the rooms we had booked, it then took a couple of hours to get this sorted. Jason was very helpful and gave us a alot of help about the resort. Although lucy made us feel very uncomfortable even thought we where on a girlie holiday we couldn't relax around the pool and the bar. The towels were like face cloths, so we all had to go and buy a towel if we expected to get dry on a night, and the cleaning was limited. Overall we wouldn't go back to the same apartments, although we would go back to falaraki!

Just returned from our week stay at the Elarin with my partner. The accomodation was basic but had everything we needed. Air-Conditioning is available at 40 euro for a week but well worth paying for even though it was over priced. The Hotel is situated about 5 min walk from the beach and 5 mins from bar and club street which was ideal as it was quiet during the night. The pool area was small but plenty of sun loungers are available. The couple running the Elarin pool bar were friendly and approchable, especially Jason (Be VERY careful when speaking to Lucy as she is Two-faced and '****ed' about all the other guests staying at the hotel). The food available at the pool bar is limited - toasties and omelettes are really the only thing on offer, but again if you order an omelette, make sure you get jason to make it as Lucy had to be instructed by another guest on how to make one! You don't get any till receipt for anything you purchase from the pool bar either, so they tend to pocket quite alot- no doubt lucy will tell u how tired and over worked they are - but to be honest, i never saw her do much apart from gossip about guests. As for their 'So-Called' Monday Evening BBQ for 10 euro each, You get 1 drink, a Skewer of processed meat and some lettuce - it was a complete waste of money food wise but it was a great opportunity to meet other guests staying at the Elarin. The pool bar is advertised to be open from 9am - Midnight, but it was always shut by 11pm. Faliraki as a whole is a nice resort and is great for families, couples and groups of all ages.

having just returned from rhodes and elarin apts i found the place basic but clean, the bar is run by jason and lucy, jason was brilliant but im afraid i found lucy arrogant, sarcastic and 50 faced. she constantly slagged other guests off all of who were very friendly so god knows what she said about me!!!!! lol, on our last night she totally ignored us even though we sat waiting for coach for 3 hours. all i can say lucy is if anyone needed a slap it was you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Myself, my partner and our 2 children aged 12 and 3 years, plus my daughters friend aged 12 years and my mother have all just arrived from a weeks stay at the elarin. After arriving early hours in the morning we were greeted by jason and shown into our rooms which were basic but clean, which consists of single beds a 2 hob cooker and basic essentials such as cups, plates cutelry etc, the beds were changed only once during the week which i found ok but could of done with having them changed more with having a messy 3 year old, the towels which were hand towels were never changed. The pool which was medium sized was clean and also the kiddies pool was a fair size for my daughter to play in, although i only ever seen it being cleaned once during my weeks stay!! jason and lucy ran the bar area, they were friendly enough, however i found lucy a bit sarcastic at times and surely got the impression she didn't like children as she was overheard sayin my daughter and her friend needed a slap!!! and also said to myself that she had other children arriving the week after we left and she was dreading it, this hotel is a family hotel and if she does not like kids then maybe she should not be there, even though the children at the hotel never caused anyone any problems and just enjoyed thier holiday.
Jason was lovely and liked his nights out, but who does'nt, the nightlife was a 10min walk and the local bus to rhodes town was a 5 min walk, falaraki is very lively but the elarin hotel is just the perfect spot where it is quiet for some sleep.
overall we enjoyed our stay at the elarin, apart from the bar owner lucy being a bit arrogant, it was a good weeks stay.

I booked this holiday 3 weeks before...

Aug 2008, Miss C Barrett

I booked this holiday 3 weeks before departure for myself and my boyfriend and was initally worried that Faliraki would live up to its reputation of being Brits abroad drinking 24/7. We were pleasantly surprised with the resort. There are 2 main streets-Club Street which has some of the quieter bars and the restaurants and Bar Street which is full of open fronted bars blasting out music. You can chose what you want-we had a couple of late nights out dancing but a few earlier nights with dinner and a bottle of wine. The beach is lovely and the sea clean. Chaplins Bar is right on the beach at the end of Bar Street and great for a beer when you come off the beach. Loads of watersports and a good choice of boat trips-we did a 2 hour trip along the coast for 15 euros each, stopping at a couple of coves for diving and snorkelling. Rhodes town is worth a visit and the bus is only 2 euros each way. Parts of Faliraki are run down as some bars have shut down but overall it was a great holiday. The only thing that spoilt it was people coming back to the apartments drunk at all hours of the morning screaming, shouting and banging doors-and some were in their 50's! Why do some people have to spoil it for others?

My friend and I came to this place...

My friend and I came to this place for a nice girly holiday and that's what we got. It was centrally located to all the bars, clubs and restaurants and you wouldn't want to be put anywhere else. The pool was a little small but fantastic. The pool bar had everything you could have wanted and right next door you had a small supermarket to buy your essentials. Having stayed there for a week we met a lot of fantastic people who really made our holiday what is was - BRILLIANT!
The rooms were cleaned daily and by this I mean your bins were emptied because you could not flush any tissue down the loo (something we were disgusted with). Sheets and towels were not changed while we were there but the room was clean on arrival.
Jason and Lucy seemed very friendly and welcoming but after speaking to people staying it came to our attention that money, belongings and randon things like water were being stolen from peoples rooms. Lucy seemed very friendly but yet she was very two-faced. She would speak to you nicely and then slag you off to other people who were staying there too. Jason is a lovely bloke but there were times we thought he took us out on bar crawls just so Lucy could sweep the rooms of anything she could get her hands on.
A word of warning - keep your personal belongings well hidden and if you order any food from the pool bar make sure lucy washes her hands beforehand!
The flight times were very poor as we only ended up having 6 nights in our room rather than 7 (we were told this is normal for Gatwick flights). We left our room at 8pm and waited around in the lobby for 8 hours until our coach came. If it wasn't for the great people who were staying there too this would have been unbareable!
Faliraki itself is a fantastic place - coo coo cachoo!!

Jul 2008, Mr R Ansell

Just got back from the Elarin studios and it was great. Really enjoyed the holiday, Elarin is a very nice place to stay, pool is very nice and there is a very friendly atmosphere around the pool.
Jason and Lucy were amazing on this holiday, they own the pool bar and do alot around the Elarin. they made the 2 weeks very fun. They are both very friendly and love to have a laugh with you. The full english they cook is the best make sure to try it.
I would definately go back there aslong as Jason and Lucy still owned the bar as this was one of the highlighjts of the holiday.
p.s. dont go to 24 with Jason i made that mistake lol.

First trip to Rhodes and one we wont...

Jun 2008, Mrs J HORTON

First trip to Rhodes and one we wont forget- in fact we are back again in September!
Our only faults with the holiday are the unsociable flight times. Apart from that the holiday was so enjoyable and effortless. The apartment- basic- but clean and more than adequate, very comfy firm beds! 40 Euros for air con for the week but worth every penny. Only a fridge sink and 2 burners in kitchen area but who cooks on holiday! Well stocked reasonable price small supermarket next door, too.
Lucy and Jase who manage the apartments and run the bar were fantastic- great bar food, well cooked and priced just right, previous comments about rows between staff? we didnt hear or see any, and we spent many evenings there.
When we booked we didnt realise we were so near Faliraki town- but the situation was ideal, 5 mins walk from the restaurants, 10 mins from bars and clubs,10 mins from major bus route, but once in the apartment it was quiet and we slept so well. We hired a Jeep in Bar Street, great price 150 Euros for 4 days, but it was low season, think prices are higher later on.
All in all a fantastic holiday, met some great people, ate some fantastic meals( can recommend the Mexican on Bar Street!) wouldnt hesitate to go to Elarin again( and again and again..!)
