Loved the Lenaki
from Ladybug1Newcastle
Just returned from 2 weeks at the Lenaki. Had a fantastic time - pool was very clean and not too busy. Some mornings it was just us ! The family which runs the apartments are friendly and Steven makes good cocktails. The apartments were spacious and clean. We were on tghe second floor which was great as when the sun left the pool, it was on our balcony ! The Wolfs Nest taverna on the way into town does the best Greek coffee I have ever had and the owner is such a lovely guy. Would definately go back - the fact that it's a 10 minute walk into town is a bonus - the area is very quiet and no large groups were stayingthere when we were there.
Kos

We stayed at the Lenaki apartments, it is a very friendly family run place and we were made very welcome. I loved the fact that there were plenty of sunbeds and that we were just a short stroll from Kos town centre. Both adults and children would love it here, it is relaxing and you can do as little or as much as you want. We hired a car and went all round the island. The islanders are friendly and helpful. I would recommend Kos and the Lenaki apartments to anyone. One other thing to add is that we went through Kosmar and this is a travel company I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. The reps are briliant, nothing is too much trouble. This was the second time we had booked with Kosmar and the service was just as good this time.
Had a great holiday at the Lenaki - would go again!

Couldn't find many current reviews of the Lenaki at first and wasn't in any travel brochures we could find so was a bit apprehensive but needn't have worried. everything is very clean and although basic it is very comfortable and plenty of space. The accomodation is family run and all are very friendly and helpful. The only problem we was with a blocked sink in our apartment in the second week and it was seen to very quickly. The pool area is very clean and a tidy size. The bar has plenty of drinks to choose from and prepares the usual snacks throughout the day. Air-con is extra although we managed without. We were on the ground floor and kept curtains drawn and found the apt was not too hot that way, even during a heat wave we had. The weather was brilliant and hardly saw a cloud in the sky. Lenaki is situated about 10mins walk from the Beach, harbour and touristy shops and bars with bars and shops scattered along the way. If you walk further up past the church in the old Kos town you will find where the locals go and bars and restaurants are much nicer here, Elea (which is olive in Greek apparently) is an excellent restaurant and by far our favourite by the end if the 2 weeks. We did the trip to Turkey and queued for about 2 hours to get out of Greece! Make sure you go into the cafe area in the immigration building first to pick up a boarding card and tax slip otherwise you are waiting in vain as we found out! Despite the stressful start Turkey was a good day out but a good bit hotter than Kos. Immigration was effortless in Turkey both in and out. Also did a three Island cruise which wasn't the best but an OK day out. Kalymnos was nice, but didn't get to see much of Pserimos and Plati, or maybe there wasn't much to see as we just saw the cliffs or a little scrap of beach! Good chance to go swimming though and the crew on Psoiden boat were really good and friendly. Also, caught the local bus service to Therma which was strange! The boiling hot sulpher spring and bubbles (due to a nearby volcano) are worth a look but beware of silver jewellery as it does turn a funny colour for a while! Unfortuntaly, some cigarette ends had found their way into the spring when we were there and the bar nearby is pumping out awful, loud music there but don't let this put you off! Its a strange place and worth a look! Definitely recommend Lenaki though and Kos has plenty to do and see. Beware on returning home as the airport ALWAYS charges 10 euros per kilo for excess baggage which can be pricey!
First time in Kos

I stayed in Lenaki Apartments back in summer of 2005. Steve the son's owner was extremely friendly; and helped us have a successful holiday. The location was fair, 15 minutes walk from town, although the long stretch back in the pitch black drunk was definitely an experience; maybe they have a light on their by now!?? I would reccomend a trip over to Bodrum market, prices of things could be extremely cheap, but take your bartaring head with you or else your in for a very tough afternoon. I also enjoyed seeing the castle only twenty minutes walk from Lenaki Apartments. Overall a great holiday, mixed with history, fun, boats, bars, and even a waterpark!! Will visit again in the future..

Spent 2 weeks at the lenaki from June 20th -5th July 07. I was aprehensive about going due to mixed reviews. Unfounded the pool is smashing the complex well maintained and the family who run it are the most helpful friendly people I have come across. Excellent location as it is quiet but close enough to walk to the beach and centre. The intertainment is excellent the greek nights and the quiz nights are fun and maria must win the bingo one night soon. I cant wait to return. Thanks Maria Steve mummy and daddy for your wonderful hospitality.
Very nice place

This place is great! 5 mins walk from the centre of Kos Town, clean (but basic) rooms, freshwater pool, snackbar/bar open almost 24hrs, good friendly staff! What more do you want for a week in the sun?
Brilliant holiday

Just got back from a weeks holiday at the family run Lenaki Apartments. It's our second visit there and we highly recommend it. It's ideal for families, couples, singles, old and young, where everyone receives a warm welcome. Apartments are ground floor or first floor, spacious, clean, comfortable, with balcony or terrace, shower, towels, cooking facilities and utensils, TV, phone, and air conditioning, what more do you need? Set in it's own well maintained gardens, around an inviting swimming pool with free sunloungers, and childrens play area. Its a 10-15 minute, easy walk away from the harbour and town centre, and has it's own party atmosphere with a bar that never closes, serving food and unlimitless hospitality from Steve and Maria. It is the perfect Kos holiday, plenty of company to enjoy your holiday with, lots of help and advice if needed, but peaceful and relaxing if prefered, we feel like we have left friends behind, now that we are home and look forward to going back.
Fantastic Lenaki!!

Well, Have just returned from a weeks stay at the Lenaki Apartments in Kos. Before I went I used this website and read the reviews of other people. I must say I had mixed feelings before I arrived but those were quickly squashed. We arrived at the beginning of the season so everywhere was still quite chilled out. Our apartment was great. Clean, fresh and very spacious. There were 3 people in our party, 2 slept in the main bedroom and I stayed on the bed in the kitchen. It was very comfortable, there was plenty of storage space and bedding was changed everyday by the maids. The Apartments were bigger than I expected with a table in the kitchen and large main bedroom. Our Apartment overlooked the pool and playground area, which were kept immaculate. The gardens surrounding the apartments are reallynice, lots of rose bushes and flowers, so any hayfever suffers make sure you take your medication!! The Lenaki is a family run place, and by the end of your trip you will feel like one of the gang. Steve and his sister Maria run the bar, they are such a laugh and will keep the bar open for as long as you keep drinking. They are very welcoming and are prepared to knock up anything off the menu for your requirements. The Lenaki is convieniently situated close to Kos Town centre, it took us about 15 mins to walk to the lovely harbour. I'd definatly recommend the Lenkai to anyone travelling to Kos and would return again ASAP.
Really enjoyed it here, nice family run apt complex.

I really enjoyed my holiday to Kos and have been back a few times since. The Lenaki Complex is family run and very friendly. Rooms are basic but clean and in good condition. The apt complex is a little out of the way so to speak, a 10-15 min stroll to Kos Town Centre and Bar Street. (or 3 mins taxi) The pool area is lovely and relaxing and the usual snacks are available from the bar. The nightlife in Kos town is good, especially bar street, but if you are used to the likes of Ibiza, this is not the place for you ! I would recommend this holiday to anyone.
