We visited Kos in October, this I wouldn't recommend as the whole place literally shuts down around you. The Lenaki apartments were a decent size but in need of decoration and a decent clean in the bathroom. The TV had Greek and Dutch, not a lot a good if your English.
This is a family run place, mum, dad, daughter Maria, who could be very patrionising on occasions and the son Steve, who could be quite snoty at times.
The pool was freezing cold and in the last few days they stopped putting the chlorine in so it turned green. On the plus side Kos was a nice island but we found it very quiet, especially this time of year, which we now know is when the whole of Greece shuts down. If you do pay a visit to this part of Kos make sure you visit Boomerang which serves excellent food.

Lenaki Apartments are situated about 20 minutes out of Kos town. At the entrance to the complex there is what can only be described as a "Steptoe and Son" junk yard/farm. We were woken up every morning, varying from about 3am to 7am, by the various animal noises!
The complex itself is quiet, with hardly any entertainment and not a lot of choice for food. The owners were unpredictable in their temperament, sometimes being quite rude and obnoxious.
Overall I would rate Lenaki Apartments quite low. Do not be deceived by the beautiful photos on the website, as these are not a true representation of the complex and apartments.

Our flight was quite late but Steve was there and very welcoming in spite of the hour. The apartments are owned by his parents and run by them together with Steve and sister Maria. The whole family were very good and caring at what they did. Maria, who did days, also seemed permanently happy, smiling and singing!!
The apartments were spotlessly clean as was the swimming pool. The cleaning staff were very efficient and seemed very happy in their work.
They are comparatively quiet apartments, not intended for groups of teenagers etc (go to Kardamena!!) but for family groups, which is what we were looking for. There were odd lively moments, but not in an "over-indulged" sense.
The snacks served at the bar were very tasty and good value for money. Plenty of good eateries in Kos Town 20/25 mins walk. We particularly liked the Cretan Taverna at the foot of the stairs near the big church!
Overall, one of the best Greek holidays we've had - we'll definitely go back!

This was our 2nd visit to Lenaki, and for our friends we went with, it was their 3rd time. That in itself should tell you all you need to know on where to stay in Kos.
It is a family run business with Dad, Mum, son (Steve) and daughter (Maria) always on hand at all times of the day and night to help, assist and generally have a laugh n joke with. (Steve & Marias English is better than most English people!)
What we like so much about Lenaki is that as it isn’t a huge operation (42 rooms) which means it’s much more personalised and all guests get to know each other.
Rather than just sit round the pool or bar on your own, everyone can have a laugh/joke/chat/drink etc together.
This year we hired a car to look around the rest of the island and I can honestly say that the area around Kos town is definitely the best place to be, with Lenaki quietly placed off the main town centre strip, but within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants and bars.
The best place to eat is a little taverna just off the main streets called The Caravan. Go and see Hassan and order his superb Fillet Souvlaki!!
I cannot fault Lenaki in anyway. It’s superb for young families and couples, but definitely not for groups of lads/lasses looking for a wild time (you want Kardemena or Kos town centre for that).
So, if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing, friendly and enjoyable holiday to Kos, Lenaki is the place to stay. Between us and our friends we have now stayed there 5 times and would not hesitate going back.

The apartments were big and above average for Greece. TV only has two channels, one Dutch and euro news but as you’re on holiday that doesn’t really matter!
Showers are very powerful but they are solar heated so when people start leaving the pool id get in the shower quite quickly as I was often having freezing cold showers!
Pool is really good, with a children’s slide, baby pool and playground next to it. The deep end isn’t too deep so beware if you’re diving in without seeing how deep it is first!
Cleaners were slightly dubious. Don’t leave lilos etc on balcony as they will just chuck them over the top!
Steve the owner’s son was really friendly. He has a collection of DVD'S which he will put on if you ask. He also put on big brother for us! (Although he thought we were mad!)
Maria on the other hand, I found annoying and rude. On our first night she made someone cry with her comments and you could often see her talking about people with one of the cleaners, especially at the Greek night!
Entertainment at the pool bar is good, there’s a pool table, big TV, table football along with special nights including the Greek night, bingo (you can win around 160 euros!) and the quiz night.
Greek night was slightly overpriced and the Greek dancing slightly boring but you get talking to people which makes it worth it.
Someone before mentioned going to Boomerang, I would advise against this as its hit and miss with the food in there. They have been known to serve raw chicken. Also the sports cafe on the dolphin roundabout is terrible!
The best restaurant we went to was the villa cafe. Despite the name, it was quite posh and has amazing views over the sea to turkey. Food is amazing. Only problem is that it’s out of Kos town (its near the thermal springs) but a taxi wouldn’t be too expensive
Despite the bad points, I would defiantly go again!.

Me and my friend just got back from Kos 2 weeks ago and we can both safely say it was the best holiday we have been on. Kos is such a beautiful place with lots of friendly people and if you’re going make sure you eat at Boomerangs; it was excellent food and service.
We stayed in the Lenaki apartments self catering and it was just exactly how we would have wanted it to be. Its about 15 mins walk from Kos town so it was just perfect for us, away from all the noise and bustle but at the same time not too far away. If you’re going please make sure you book the greek night up Mount Zia, it was the best night without a doubt. I can’t wait to go back to Kos and I will definitely be staying in the Lenaki apartments.

My friend and I traveled to Kos thinking that we could get a cheap place to stay and then we could go out clubbing a lot.
We got there & it was late they had a lot of rooms free. There was a reason, they charge extremely high prices. We could have stayed in Anesthesia one of the best hotels in Kos, but we did not know that at the time. I know other people paid less for there rooms and they were in the same place.
The people who owned the place liked you for the first 3 days until more people came in then they would not care about you. I did not like the people at all and the maids, well it was not there fault, it is what they are paid to do, but they woke us up at 9:30 to get you out and we got in the apartment at around 7 in the morning and being kicked out of bed at 9:30 in the morning with a hang over is not good.
My advice to any one going to Kos is, don't stay there because you can stay some were better for cheaper.

Beginning of the season, so things a bit quiet in Kos and at the apartments, but this did not spoil our holiday. Lenaki is perfectly located, far enough from town to escape any noise or over exuberance of others, and just far enough to walk off that extra portion of dessert.
Lenaki was perfect for us, set in lovely gardens, our apartment was smart, clean and tidy, and Steve (the owner) made us more than welcome, and willingly kept us company in the bar each evening. On our next visit to Kos, we would not consider staying anywhere but Lemaki.
