We have just returned from our stay at Galini. Yes they are very basic and there were a few things that needed to be sorted out. Which were once we had asked, it would have been nice if we hadnt had to of done this though i.e toilet seat totally broken not attached at all, not enough plates bowls forks, never did get any knives, next door only had one ring on hob not two, our fridge stopped working came home to find pool of water on floor, mattress on one bed was awful just springs had to pad it out with 3 thick blankets, light in bath held together with sticky tape! I agree with previous comment shower had no holder. Most of our problems should of been sorted before we went there. There is a problem across the island at moment hundreds of wasps, forever being pestered by them. The locals saved us quite a bit by booking our excursions with them and they were lovely and so helpful being 'Kefalosians' so shop around. Be warned that if you book a night or early morning flight i.e 7.20am you will be evicted out of your apartment at 12noon the previous day and will have about 16hours to pass 'roomless'. The owners are very nice and also the ones down at Popi. The view from our ground floor room was great. You could tell we weren't the only ones that had problems as the our reps always had queues of customers with complaints! A word of warning if you do have a complaint that you wish to follow up keep on to the rep as it took us days to get our complaint form (that you need at home)Having said what I have, we might and thats a might in future (although with a different tour operator) go back but with a day flight. It was basic but it was also very very quite which is what we wanted.

We stayed Galini Studios in July and we found it nice and relaxing place to stay. The owners were friendly and we were able to use the Villa Popi's pool where we were able to buy breakfast and snacks at very reasonable price. The room was clean and spacious enough. The room was hot, as we did not have air con, so I would recommend getting one. One down side was the hardness of the pillows, so if you suffer bad back or are troubled sleeper, do take your own pillow with you. As the kefalos only got one main street, the locaton was not much a problem, it was only 5-10 minutes walk to bars and restaurants.

we have stayed here 10 times in our 14 holidays to kefalos which is pure paradise.Nikos and Maria are wonderful and the location is perfect. rooms are more than adequate. Sadly Kosmar have dropped many apartments in Kefalos including Galini much to hundreds of regular visitors disappointment. welcome meetings in Kefalos are now more like re unions ! Most people go back year after year and its obvious why.If you want 5 star hotels/all inclusive / hectic nightlife......go somewhere else !! Kefalos is for pure peace.

this holiday was fantastic ! the owners are friendly as well as the residents in kefalos. the studios were basic but that is what greece is all about, you dont go there for a massive cooker and a freezer, you go there to cook a light snack before you go out or somthing....
fantastic holiday going again in april cant wait........
