Panos Studios

Just returned from 2 weeks at Panos studio apartments in Lassi.Excellent 2 weeks.Apartments very basic but adequate.Towel regime is dismal so please take your own towels to use, as I had to ask for fresh towels as ours were only changed once in 2 weeks.They only supply very small towels.
Lassi is a lovely resort.Plenty of beautiful beaches and super clear water to swim in which is all you want to do as it is so hot.
We declined to car hire as some of the local drivers had to be seen to be believed.Preferred to walk or use local bus to Argostoli.Very cheap only 2;20 euros +air conditioning!! You are almost guaranteed to see at least 3 turtles in Argostoli harbour as they wait beside the fishing boats for the scraps from the fishermen.
Plenty of good eating places--Phaedra good but expensive.Il Gabbiano, Sirtaki ,Veronica choose any of these and you get well looked after.If you want a lively Kefalonian 'nite out' walk to Oskars.Always well advertised as it is along the Fanari road but worth the effort at least once---plenty of greek dancing etc.as well as an attentive host.
And so to Ray the superb rep!!!!He was incredibly friendly and helpful but not overbearing.Full of friendly chatter and tips willing to answer any queries. At the airport he did sterling service at the checkout counter by lugging all the cases onto the counter and asking how many cases to help the flow. No other rep was doig this!!!! This was everyones cases in the line not just one or two ,what a star.Well done Ray.
One final comment the Kefalonian skinny cats.We kept Supplying milk and scraps, a neighbour even bought some cat food for them!!!!! I only hope the next people kept up the regime as we felt so sorry for them,especially the numerous kittens.
So enjoy your holiday in Lassi. Best of all only 15 mins transfer time and you can leisurely watch the planes taking off for home while you are sunning on the superb beach!!!!!

We had a lovely week at the Panos Studios in Lassi. The XL flights were on time, the Reps efficient and we got through the airport, onto the coach and to our accomadation in an hour. Panos is very neighbourly and the owners very friendly. The accomadation is admittedly very basic, and I'm glad I took exta towels, but perfectly adequate for our stay. Our first visit to Kefalonia and we have fallen in love with it, a charming island, very pretty. Lassi was great with plenty of choice of local taverns serving traditional food without it being too lively and loud. Panos is perfectly situated being close enough to the taverns, supermarkets and beaches but just far enough from the main road to be peaceful. highlight of the week was seeing the huge logger-head turtles in the bay at Argostoli.

Good Value Holiday with Kosmar. Flights with XL had 2 hour delay outward and 4 hour delay on return with record 30 min aircraft turn round to meet airport curfew of 0030. Rep was fine appartments are basic but clean and quite spacious. Wet bathroom with powerful shower(Greek Style) and good toilet. Utensils very basic. AC costs 7 euro pd and Safe deposit 11 euroe pw. Appartment can be held until departure for 15 euros. Had double bed and 3 small hand towels. Recommend bring extra towels. Appartments cleaned alternate days and linen changed weekly. Greek owners nearby and check daily. Located 100 metres from Dolphin Supermarket at far end lassi partly up steep hill. Good car perking and small verandah for each appartment with table and 2 chairs. Nice neighbourly feel. Lassi beaches all within walking distance as are bars and restaurants. Argostouri 15 min walk up steep sloping hill or 6 euros by taxi. 3 supermarkets Lassi with varying prices but generally dearer than UK. Temp second half of May gradually increased daily from low 2o`s to low 30`s no rain experienced. Used Peffonis car hire and found them excellent did not quibble when car had puncture exchanged car and refunded petrol money we had put in damaged car. Roads are rough with loose stones. Due to Euro eating out quite expensive similar prices to UK. Lovely island best palces to visit Capital Assos and Myrtle Beach.
