The rooms were all clean, quiet and though there is a hill you climb to get to them, they are easy to get to.
They do not have a pool but you can use the pool at the hotel at the bottom of the hill. The apartments are with-in a short walk of the shops, bars, restaurants and the beach.
I have read some reviews that the bed linen was dirty, I disagree, the sheets and the towels were also changed several times through the week.
The price was cheap, which made this holiday an absolute bargain.

These apartments have their pros and cons. Pros were that we expected basic accommodation for the price paid and this is what we found. Daughter of owner (we assume) visited accommodation regularly and was friendly. Good views of coast from 2nd & 3rd floor apartments and reasonable from ground floor (we requested above ground floor at time of booking but got ground floor).
Cons were that cleanliness has scope for improvement such as top covers of beds were heavily stained and quickly dispensed with on arrival, sheet next to mattress also stained. Towels could have been changed more regularly. Shower in same room as toilet with no shower curtain in between and no above shower head holder.
Also wasps/bees were regularly outside our apartment and also many around the courtyard fountain when switched off (fountain was on a timer to only come on at certain times during the day and evening).

We stayed in the Kekatos apartments in June 08. The apartment we had was on the ground floor, which meant that it was cool, but the views were not as good as on the first and second floors.
Having read mixed reviews of what to expect, it was better than expected. The rooms were clean and the bedlinen and towels were changed once during our stay. The rooms were cleaned every other day, which was fine, but it would be even better if they had been cleaned daily.
Our room was typically basic Greek accommodation, which we expected, air conditioning and safe deposit box were paid locally. We did find that the beds and pillows were very hard and unless used to having a hard bed at home you may find them uncomfortable.
Other than that the accommodation was fine and provided everything we needed.
The beach was only a 5 minute walk away and is great as the level graduates away slowly, therefore perfect for children and weak swimmers.
The resort of Lassi offers a wide variety of taverna's and bars to choose from and we relly enjoyed our stay there and would go back again.
If you have not been to Kefalonia before we would recommend it. It is a truly beautiful island and well worth a visit.
