Pella Studios Apartments Reviews
" We stayed at Pella House Apartments... "
Submitted By: Mr C Potter
We stayed at Pella House Apartments in June 2006. I haven't got around to writing a review until now, but I feel like it is the least I can do for Theo and his family having spent such a memorable holiday with them.
We booked this holiday as a last minute deal, and therefore we were a little unsure as to what to expect, but when we arrived, we were kindly greeted by Theo and his family and invited to the bar for a drink whilst they sorted out our room key, luggage, etc.
Our room was great, and although it was a studio apartment, it was very large and spacious with a good kitchenette area, dining table, large double bed, built in wardrobes and separate bathroom. All of the apartments had either a terrace or balcony.
We stayed in a ground floor apartment, that had a good sized terrace with table and chairs where we spent many evenings relaxing with a nice cold drink.
The house is set within its own secluded tropical garden and has a good sized pool, eating area on the poolside terrace and sun loungers.
Not forgetting its brilliant location... literally 100m from the beach / promenade (right turn out of entrance) and about the same distance from the main street (left turn out of entrance) where you'll find numerous tavernas, shops and bars.
Pefkohori itself has a great beach and a friendly bustling evening atmosphere whether you choose to spend your evening on the promenade or on the main street, both offer many cool tavernas and bars with fabulous food and lots of cool exotic cocktails, brilliant wines, ice cold beers, etc.
We also hired an off-road dune buggy for the day and spent the day exploring, which was most enjoyable! Discovering various hidden beaches by following random sand tracks that were running off the main roads. We found about 4 of these and stayed for about an hour at each one sunbathing in private. It was good fun!
So on the whole we had a fantastic holiday... the area has a lot to offer, and we'd definitely recommend it to anyone. Great time, great memories.

" We have been going to Pella fore 7... "

We have been going to Pella fore 7 years, others have been going longer. We go the same 2 weeks in July and meet up with the same people. Theo and all the family will give you a fantastic holiday, this year we took our granddaughter and had the best time ever she loved the bbq and the Greek music, zinis restaurant past the pier is the best.
Every time we go it is the best holiday as it always seems to differ. Beaches can get crowded but go past the pier and they are a bit quieter as it is more residential.
Pefkahori still remains very Greek. If you want to know a bit more of the Greek history go to Petronella caves and the museum in thessaloniki, its fantastic.

Fantastic holiday the hotel owners where fantastic. Great location. Would recommend it to all. Lovely pool.
Theo, marea, Thomas, vasso, and baby Thomas are lovely, they make you feel at home and would do anything for you.
You have to go to the bbq night Greek dancing, plate smashing, fun, and laughter over all a great night. Also you have to go to the karaoke night as it is a great laugh... Drinks, karaoke, laughter, and fun! The family will all make you holiday like a home, away from home!
The location is great the beach and shops are only down one road! There are also loads of great restaurants around and all at great prices! You can get a starter and a desert for around 10 Euros.
When I went away I only spent 25 Euros a day.
A great cheep holiday! Had a fantastic time, well worth going!
So all that is left to say is that you must visit!
Hope this helps!

" My father and stepmother retired to... "

My father and stepmother retired to Pefkohori 3 years ago and so this has become our annual holiday destination. This was our first stay at the Pella and having stayed at other hotels previously this is definitely our favourite. The rooms are fairly basic as is the norm in Greece, but are very clean and comfortable.
The location is perfect; a short walk (50 metres) from the beach and close to the amenities of Pefkohori. Whilst being fairly central the hotel is very peaceful. The pool is quite small but still nice and the owners are friendly and welcoming. We have small children and they had a great time despite a few rainy days (unusual for June apparently).
The old square is lovely as is the walk to Hanioti on the old coast road (45mins + depending on heat). Try the Lemonhi bakery at top of road; fantastic! Halkidiki perhaps does not have the charm of the islands but is picturesque.

Excellent holiday accomodation to the highest quality. Beautiful pool in relaxing surroundings. The owners exceptionally friendly and make you feel very welcome. A holiday to look forward to.
The resort caters for all ages and doesn't tolerate groups of yobs. A pleasure to stay in such a friendly place with little trouble. A place to return to again and again.

We have been visiting Pefkohori for the last twenty years and have stayed in various apartments. all of them very good. About ten years ago we found Pella House and discovered the jewel in the crown.
The apartments are superb with a lovely swimming pool and patio area . along with a small friendly bar run by Theo who is the son of the owners, Thomas & Vaso. The barbeque evening is excellent value consisting of good food and plenty of Greek dancing which you are expected to join in with.
Pella House is situated along a walkway about 200 yards from the sea front & superb beach, not to far to walk but just far enough to escape any late night noise from the seafront bars. Having said that, Theo will keep the bar open for as long as you want, but closes the bar doors and turns the music down low at midnight.
This place is ideal for couples, and families with young children are made very welcome, but "lager louts" are definitely not tolerated by the owners.
To sum it up as Pop Larkin would have said " Perfick just Perfick".
