Athena Pallas Village Reviews

The environment is therefore very noisy and has the atmosphere of blocks of crowded flats, with towels hanging out over the balconies to dry and lowering the tone. The "restaurant" resembled a canteen and we abandoned it after our first meal there.
Nothing about the hotel was authentic Greek. It was more like a holiday camp than a five star hotel. Just before midday on our last day we had a phone call from reception telling us that we had to be out by midday. Half an hour before midday an officious, sassy young employee banged on the door to check the contents of the fridge and ten minutes before midday she banged on our door to tell us to leave.
We have never experienced such poor service and would never return there. A small number of parasols are squeezed on to the tiny patch of pebbly beach across the road from the hotel and those families in the ground floor "suites" which face the pool take up the sun beds around the pool. A very crowded environment crammed with buildings and hardly any garden. The gym, sauna, Jacuzzi and steam room cost extra and have very limited opening hours.
