Me and my Mam have been to this hotel twice and we loved every minute of it!
The staff (Sakis and Maria) are really lovely people we became very close to them!
We had a really wicked time there. We enjoyed there Greek nights, karaoke nights, quiz nights and many more things! All the food and drinks served at tropical studios are really good and are very cheap!
The first year we went there we were very well greeted and welcomed as if we were family, the second year there we were treated with just as much respect and we are hoping to be going back in 2007 :) the full holiday resort is lovely!
All the shops and restaurants are great! The best restaurant there is the restaurant that Sakis's family owns called Tropicana I think!
Well I don’t know what else to write now but I advise any one who is looking for a perfect holiday to go to this hotel because it’s the best you can get.
Love Nicole.

We have just got back from 2 weeks at the Tropical Hotel. The hotel itself is newly redecorated, clean and fresh looking. Our room was spacious and fitted with mod cons, with plenty of storage space.
The hotel is however next to the main road in Hanioti and the road noise did affect us a little, however other guests on the pool side said they didn’t hear anything. You always get a warm welcome at the Bar area - with Maria and the reception.
Location wise - its about 6mins to the beach and 5-10mins to the main square. We enjoyed our stay at the Tropical and would say that its a good standard of accommodation. We never spent time at the pool so couldn't comment on that really.
Hanioti itself is a nice charming resort with lots of tavernas - we stayed for two weeks and never ate in the same place twice. We loved the taverna in-between Milos Supermarket and the other larger supermarket - really nice food at reasonable prices. There are a few bars in the square that offer a quiet drink - which are nice. But it isn’t a party place, great for families and couples looking to relax and eat!! Try the chocolate doughnuts on the beach!
Sani is a great beach just 20mins by car and worth the visit as Hanioti beach is quite stony. We also would recommend the Lazy day boat trip and the sunset cruise. But book direct in the square, they are half the price offered by the Tour operators.
Also - the beach bar on the main beach offers night swimming - always a great idea after a few beers ;)

My friend and I went just to chill out and that’s what we did. We were made to feel welcome right from the start, by Maria. We had no complaints about the tropical. Sakis, Maria and George were very friendly and most helpful all the time we were there. The square with all the places to eat, drink, shop and watch the world go by, was just around the corner, and the beach a little further on. We would love to go back with our husbands next time, if only to play up sakis and Maria !sue and Noreen from Telford x

First time we have been to Halkidiki. We stayed in the tropical hotel that it was recommended. It was the best hotel we ever stayed.
The rooms were quite big for the two of us, the shower was clean as well. Basically I can not fault anything in the hotel as it was more than we expected. it was cleaned every day and the stuff was very friendly, made us feel very welcome.
we choose tropical as the had entertainment three times a week. The popular and famous karaoke, 60’s 70’s night and quiz night. the were busy nights and we really enjoyed it. Everyone was perfect and helpful with us. make sure that we did not have any problems.
Anyway we had brilliant time and we are back next year.

Upon entering the hotel I noticed that all the fire doors were held open by fire extinguishers and when we got into our room I looked and my wife, the disappointment was obvious, it was not the fact the room was basic because that is all we wanted, however it was dirty and required some maintenance. The washroom had mould around the tiles.
The stainless steel waste bin was rusty with dried urine and dust on the lid as was the toilet brush and holder. The washbasin was loose and the shower curtain was too small and had seen better days, the bedroom was dusty and one of the mattresses had a blood stain on it, but this was our honeymoon so with a tough upper lip we decided that we would brave it out as us Brits do.
Later when taking a shower the shower head fell striking my head, upon inspection I found that it was broken and had been wedged in with a piece of material, I was lucky not to have been blinded. We found a leak on the balcony from a tap located there, a 1 litre water bottle catching the drips which was overflowing which caused the tiled floor to become very slippery, however the next day the hotel staff was kind enough to provide us with a 5 litre bottle which we only had to empty twice a day.
After a Lovely day sight seeing we returned to our hotel room to settle down for the evening. It was 01:30 when we were woken by that famous Madonna No. 1 "LIKE A VIRGIN", Yes we also had karaoke to put up with this went on to 03:45. Most of the people who attended this function were not hotel guest but visitors from other hotels.
The next day I spoke to reception they just passed a brochure and quoted word for word " SOME APARTMENTS MAY BE SUBJECT TO NOISE FROM THE BAR", I pointed out we were in room 206 which was the room furthest away and pointed out the fact that all the fire doors was held open by fire extinguishers so the noise could be heard.
The response I got was very negative so I did not entertain that avenue again. During our 14 night imprisonment there were six accessions when we were kept awake by noise these were 60's 70's 80's, Bingo, Quiz and the famous and popular Karaoke night, plus one night when our neighbours were upset when they had their bag snatched, the hotel staff was not interested in the incident and told them to keep the noise down, this was the only time they bothered about noise or I suspect maybe they did not want the guest to be aware of the crime.
Speaking to other guest I found they were not happy, however to my knowledge only two of the guest complained of which only ours was official to the holiday rep.
When we were waiting to leave the comments book was passed around under close control of the reception staff, I could not understand why this was never passed to me, however I did notice that a number of guest did write positive comments although complaining about conditions earlier, being too British to complain and turning a blind eye, and so holiday guest suffering continues.

Spent 7 nights at the Tropical, Sakis, Vicky, Maria and George were very friendly and helpful. We took our daughters, they had an apartment next to ours, they felt very safe, the traffic is noisy but you do get used to it and it didn’t affect us that much. The pool was lovely and was cleaned every evening, our girls and us were in it every day.
Apartments were basic but clean and the one small problem we had with the drain in the bathroom was sorted out within ten minutes of notifying Sakis.
We went on a Thomson market & mountain excursion that we would not recommend at the price they charge.
Overall we had a very enjoyable relaxing holiday for the family. Hanioti square was a hive of activity in the evening and the restaurants are plentiful all welcoming without being pushy we especially recommend the Hellenikon.
