Set in attractive gardens, this family run property is on the main road and only 8 minutes from the bars, shops and tavernas of Hanioti, with the beach even closer. The Cleopatra has its own salt water swimming pool, pool bar open til late and reception, where safety deposit boxes are available for hire. The twin and double bedded studios sleep 2 with one sleeping up to 3. Two studios are lower ground floor making them nice and cool. All rooms have air conditioning payable locally. Me and my wife have just come back today from this resort.
i have to say that we had a really nice and relaxing time. It is the best resort we have stayed at.
The atmospehere was nice and calm, we enjoyed ourselves.
We would recomend this resort. The owner Maria is really kind, and talkative.

My wife and I have just spent one of our most enjoyable Greek holidays in Hanioti - thanks to the warmth of the welcome we received from Maria (and her family) who run the Cleopatra.
Upon arrival she greeted us with "welcome to my home - I am pleased you chose to stay with me" and never once did I hear her refer to the appartments as a Hotel - she always referred to them as "my home"
Despite the 1 star rating it is a hidden gem - ten rooms spotlessly clean and of slightly larger proportions than most studio appartments we have stayed in. All rooms have balconies and air-conditioning is for hire at a small extra cost. Safety deposit boxes are available to hire.
Everything is provided by Maria even down to washing up liquid and dishcloths. There is a large library of English books available free of charge - saves on weight and space in your cases, you don't need to bring books with you!! TV is provided free in each room with about 11 channels - half of which are English and some of the others show American films or shows with Greek subtitles.
Supermarkets are within 5 mins walking distance and tavernas, bars,restraunts etc are just a couple of minutes more. The centre of Hanioti is pedestrianised after 7.00pm and sauntering along people watching is the afterdark pastime. The Square becomes the focal point on most evenings with street artists, market stalls and trinket shops staying open till late into the night. Seek out the cake stalls and the home made ice cream shops for a special treat.
Every guest soon gets to know each other at Cleopatra - many guests have returned year after year. On our departure Maria was genuinely sorry to see us leave - giving everyone a hug and a kiss and a Greek blessing for a safe trip home.
I almost feel guilty writing this review and telling everyone how good this place is - I should maybe keep it a secret not to be shared, just to be treasured by a select few who have already become friends of maria and her lovely family

This was our 2nd visit to the Cleopatra Apartments and it was truly just like coming home. Maria greeted us with the warmest of welcomes as we sat and chatted for 2 hours even before getting to our room and unpacking!! This greeting is not just reserved for old customers but also new arrivals who are treated like one of the family.
The facilities make a mockery of Thomsons 1 star rating with all the little extras that are provided (too many to list here!!).
The location is perfect, just being a 10 minute stroll into the village, but away from the more closed in apartments so getting a bit of a breeze when it decides to show up!
After 50 hard weeks working towards this holiday it was the perfect way to unwind from the British weather and work. Maria's hard work and "nothings too much trouble" attitude contributed to this and we consider Maria and her family as life long friends.
All I can add is book early as these apartments are becoming very popular with people returning year after year. 2008 was fully booked by January so what better testament.

What a fantastic place to have a holiday. I could not fault the hotel in anyway. We were treated like one of the family. Maria who partly owns the business is a lovely person and her parents too.
If it was possible I would live out there, it is so beautiful. I also had a brilliant time with the guest's. We would be sitting by the pool chatting till the early hours. Wish I was there now.
Really is a thing not to be missed.

Fantastic!
I'm a travel agent and expect the best from any accommodation I stay in even if it's a 1 or 2 star.
I traveled with my partner, mum and her partner. We didn't want anywhere to busy and noisy but not somewhere dead. Hanioti couldn't have been better!
This Cleopatra didn't seem to have an official rating but when I arrived I noticed on the signs it said 1 key. How on earth it could be rated this low I do not know!
We had 2 rooms. The studios were bigger than some one bedroom apartments I’ve stayed in! The balcony was a great size. The kitchen area had everything you could want.
Maria, the lady that runs the hotel, really made our stay. She was friendly, had a lot of local knowledge and made us feel really welcome.
The pool area was great, always enough sun beds. Some of the days we went to the beach. The sea is lovely but the beach has a lot of pebbles so take some beach shoes!
Hanioti is in the middle of Polichrono and Pefkori. We went to both of these once in the evening and had delicious evening meals on the beach front. Both resort are about 5 mins in a taxi.
There's some fab restaurants in Hanioti and are all really good prices. The calzones at the Italian Restaurants are out of this world!
All in all an amazing holiday. Just a shame it had to end!
