hi we go to stalis every year ,we stayed at the eri this year,i would like to say this apartment is great friendly staff pool was clean .andreas the bar man was good laugh this apartment is bang smack in the middle of the resort but up a lane so its quiet.couldnt get a better location its 2 mins from beach and 1 min from nearest pub

Activities: golden beach ,is fantastic,so is the chinese in the square

myself and my partner spent a week at the eri studios,the accomodation is very basic but clean and spacious enough for 2 people,however i do have to add that the kosmar rep wasnt upto much.considering our luggage was delayed and i spent 4 days without mine,whenever we questioned the rep she had no idea when our luggage was due,but other than that it was a fantastic holiday,id recommend the eri to anyone and the weather was gorgeous.

The Eri Studios is set back from Stalis' main strip, it is approximatley 2 minutes walk from the nearest beach and less than 50 metres to restaurants.
I would say Stalis is aimed at couples and families as there a few bars and pubs but no clubs for later drinking and partying. However Malia is only a 5 minute taxi ride which costs around 8 euros and provides lots of clubs and late night bars.
Along the other side of the coast is Hersonissos, here you will find many restuarants and bars and also shops. This is around a 10 minute taxi ride which will cost 12 euros.
The Eri Studios are basic accomodation however provide all you need for a self catering holiday. The owner Andreas tries his best to make your holiday enjoyable and supplies many free shots!
Rooms sleep 2-3 persons. For those who want to escape children this is a good choice as there weren't any there during our week stay.
Although we visited Stalis in the first week of August it was quiet, local's are claiming this is due to the 'credit crunch'.

We've just come back from our holiday in the Eri Studios in Crete and loved the area very much. Central for daytrips, the beach and wonderful places to eat right on your doorstep.
We would like to thank Andreas and his lovely family for making us very welcome. The studios were clean and bright but you definitely need to use the aircon. at night it gets very sticky even in May. I would give 10/10 to them for their hospitality and the lovely delicious breakfasts and meals we had cooked by his wife. The only complaint we would have loved a kettle/toaster included in our rooms so you could make a drink first thing in the morning, instead of having to boil water in a pan. Other than that would definitely return to this hotel but would request a studio or 1 bed apartment with a view of the lovely pool. The studio that we had was at the back and you got the noise from the main road (early morning rush) started about 6.30am but it became quieter in the day.
The tour operator Kosmar we would not recommend because as other people have said earlier in the reviews we also were messed around on our outgoing flight and returning flight. Communication was poor from the reps (at the resort) and when you asked why your flights were changed again on our return, we got a negative response and not even an apology for the inconvenience of being delayed from a takeoff time in the evening of 9.30, to then being changed to 12.00pm and then finally told 2.50am but then eventually taking off at 3.30am (6 hour delay)!!! I had to take another day off work because we didn't land in Manchester until 5.15am all very tired especially all the young children and babies on board. So KOSMAR note we wont be booking with you again.

It was one of the best girly holidays - Stalis has changed over the years but the people certainly haven't - Andreas thank you for making us feel sooooo welcome we have had fun and its a really nice place to stay well recommended. Its in the centre close to EVERYTHING possible including a great beach but the atmosphere around the pool is sooo good you don't want to go to the beach.. Thank you again Andreas... Vikkie and Emma

The tour operator/airline I would never fly with again they are rubbish! We got delayed both going and returning home and the service was disgusting.
However the holiday was great the food was excellent plenty places to dine at and plenty supermarkets to shop at. The apartments were lovely in an ideal location for all ages really clean and pretty spacious for studios!!
The food and the service in the apartments were good to. The pool was very clean and always lovely to dive into as it was very hot, however there is loads of chlorine in it so all you died blondes watch out, don’t spend too much time in it or your hair might turn green, like mine did! Not a good look.
I'm a party girl therefore spent most my time in Malia on a night time, however rhythm and bar bliss in Stalis are great places to party and the staff are excellent!
We meet some great people out there and would definitely recommend it to everyone else.

What can I say! Absolute brill holiday! Andrea’s and his family couldn’t do enough to make it a great holiday!
I came here 5 years ago, and then other places as well, but doesn’t compare to this place! So came back here 3 times, swell as other places, still no comparison, lovely, and clean, pool well kept! (No ear infections ha)lovely food!
Near to restaurants and beach 2 mins away, Malia 5 mins away if you want a mad night.
The restaurants and bars are friendly and food is of high quality generally. All in all I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Crete other than the Eri!
They are such a lovely family and made us feel so welcome! And we had such a great time, look forward to the next time!

Just returned from a great holiday at the Eri studious, we have stayed in Stalis 5 times and the Eri has been the best so far.
Rooms are basic but cleaned regularly and towels changed, Andreas and his family made us feel very welcome.
Great pool and pool bar serving nice meals and snacks with Andreas's wife doing the cooking, super full English breakfast for 3 euro.
The Eri is right in the centre and you can walk straight across the road to the beach, we will definitely be going back in 2008.

This is a very fine and well run Family Hotel, you are made welcome from the very start
Andreas, is always laughing and trying his best to keep you entertained, only one problem and that its not all persons want to that sit at the bar till 0430am and perhaps he should stop the late bar at around 0300am,, we will be back to stay at the same apartments but will ask for a room around the front away from the bar so that a good sleep for the next days adventures can be gained

Have just returned from another fabulous holiday in Stalis, this time staying at the Eri Studios. Good, clean accommodation and had a large room. Disappointed by the 'balcony' which was really just two plastic chairs and a table outside our door leading toward the stairs.
Very friendly atmosphere, Andreas the owner makes you feel very welcome. Peaceful during the day around the pool and the beach literally over the road. Great 241 cocktails at night with plenty of free shots n entertainment.
Lovely restaurants by the sea, great bars- recommend Rhythm and Bar Bliss. Malia only a 5min cab ride or 35 min walk. We never ate out in Malia but the bars and clubs were lots of fun with very good offers.
Went to Water City which we enjoyed, small queues and lots of shoots. Don't go to Aqua Plus! It costs the same as Water City but had about 1/4 of the rides, we left after about an hour as we'd been on everything! But Water City was definitely worth going to, bit further than Aqua Plus but you get to see some beautiful views as you drive up the mountains.
Something for everyone with surrounding towns so close to Stalis. Hersonissos is busy and exciting with lots of shops. Gouves is sleepy but perfect for a quiet day. Would go back again, loved every moment! Shame that I'm back at work in England!

A wonderful holiday - however a little disappointed with the room. The bathroom was tiny and the shower was more a dribble of water! We ate out for all meals as it would have been impossible to cook in there! Room wasn't cleaned on a daily basis but it was clean on arrival and kept clean throughout our stay.
Extremely friendly staff and snacks and drinks sold at reasonable prices. Small, cosy resort with decent sized pool and a short walk from the beach.
The best thing about it was that on was on the main street for all the shops, restaurants and bars and a 10 minute taxi ride from Malia.

We have just returned from another fabulous holiday in Stalis. The restaurants are super, especially Golden Beach or Maria's where we now feel like family members.

Eri Studios are very clean and all the staff are very friendly, but- because people return year after year we were treated by other guests as if we were intruding and so were glad to go to the beach rather than the pool, also the Kosmar rep never spoke to us at all the whole 2 weeks even though we went to the Eri Bar-b-q and I sat next to her.

There was a mix up with our room and we had to wait a little while when we arrived, but nothing could spoil our Stalis Holiday I recommend it to all age groups, and there are plenty of other studios to stay at. <br>

We had a fantastic holiday at the Eri apartments. This is a friendly family run complex run by Andreos and his Wife Fotini. There was a room service provided daily Mon - Fri.
Our fresh and bright accommodation consisted of bedsit/kitchen with 2 ring hob, fridge, utensils and crockery. the apartment had a fair sized shower room and balcony over looking the lovely pool and well stocked bar area where you can enjoy a good quality and reasonably priced breakfast or snack throughout the day and early evening.
he apartments are situated on the main road that runs throughout the resort so everything is on hand.
We are going back to Stalis this year and wanted to book Eri apartments again but it was not in the brochure, but we will definitely drop in to visit the friends we made last year.
