Milos Studios Apartments

Me and my friends had a fantastic time in Malia and I think what made it so good was the accomodation. We was all so chuffed with the Milos studios. The place was great, nice and clean, the pool was lovely and always kept clean and tidy also. The staff were excellent, so friendly and welcoming! I actually looked forward to coming back from the crazy strip after a night out just so I could see Mike and the other bar staff and have some drinks and a catch up with them. They were all really really nice.
I would most definately go back to Milos just for the staff. We made some great friends there and the staff also made an effort to try and introduce all of the guests so that we could all make friends.
Would most definately recommend to anyone. Another plus point was that it was just far away from the main strip so that all of the noise was dumbed down and didnt keep us awake but also not too far away that we had to get a taxi in. It took us about 5-10mins to walk to the strip.

Booked this holiday last minute and was happy with the reviews I read, When we arrived I was thrilled as the place was so clean!!! and very friendly. I went with my mum for a break away and I was so happy with the mix of ages and people we stayed with. It was a great holiday and I would go again. Top Tip - have shower early as its all heated by solar power so if leave it to late it will be cold!!!! - the apartments are very spacious for two people and are Basic. if you like a tea or coffee in the morning bring a travel kettle as we did not have these items in the room. When we asked for extra items such as blankets (did drop in temp late at night) they appeared on our beds that afternoon. Staff are all lovely and can't fault the Milos Studios!!!!

Well, there was abit of a mix up with the bookings! We went with 20 friends; me and my friend were in the Miles and the rest of them were in another hotel. The booking problem was nothing to do with the Milos Studios though! It was our own fault, it was an absolutely amazing holiday, everyone was so friendly.
I felt really safe for the 2 weeks I stayed there, if you’re going don’t get the 2 end rooms on the bottom floor! They don’t have air conditioning! We were on the top floor so we did thank god, we wouldn’t have coped without it! The only little problem we had was every night the electrics would go off just as you’re drying or straightening your hair and the shower was pretty pathetic too!
But all in all, it was great hotel because everyone is so young who stays there, everyone just gets on with it, really good holiday we recommend it!

Excellent holiday. Really worried about the 24 hour pool bar. As it was, we used it more than anybody else.
Really quiet, just 2 of us in our mid 40's and 10 other people travelling in pairs. Got to know everyone. We were probably lucky, no large groups staying here that week and it was the perfect relaxing holiday by the pool.
Great location, just off the main roads and the strip but close enough. Try the old town, we found some great bars to just relax and drink nice drinks. The Tavernas in the old town are an absolute must. Super Greek food and lots of it.
The staff at Milos were all fantastic and we could not have really asked for more. The accommodation was very good compared to a lot of other Greek islands.

There were two of us in our party, both young single girls and we had a fab time and felt safe our whole stay. Maria, Yanna, George and Dave were all nice people and happy to help with any problems.
Rooms are very basic but all have pool views. we had a few small problems but they didn’t spoil our stay. We paid for aircon €50 for a week but it blew out warm air so Maria gave us a refund - no arguments.
As we were on the top floor we just had our front door open and the balcony doors open to let a breeze go through our room and we were fine.
We had a leaking sink and a dodgy shower head but George (handyman) came and fixed it almost instantly.
The location is great if you want a nice quite stay so you can sleep when you return from a night out.
There are two ways into the hotel, the front way onto the main road which leads to the top of the strip or the side entrance which goes out onto a dirt track and then a road which takes you to the bottom of the strip, I would suggest the side entrance going out for the night. this is fine and perfectly safe even in early hours.
The two of us had a fab time in Malia, and miss it loads!

This years holiday to Malia was unreal, the fact we stayed at the Milos apartments made it so much better. The staff are great, all really friendly. Maria, Taio, George and Manos in particular. Treat them with respect and they will make sure you have a great stay.
The rooms are pretty basic but it's really clean. The atmosphere around the pool and bar is so good. It’s a small hotel so you get to know everyone. When you arrive it's usually early in the morning and everyone has come back from the strip and sat drinking around the 24 hour bar, so you get to know people the second you arrive. Take cd's with you and the staff are happy to put them on at the bar.
The location of the hotel is great, it's a short walk to the beach and the main strip is about 10 minutes but it means the areas not too hectic. For food, you must go to the Red Lion at the bottom of the strip, but also a traditional Cretan restaurant pretty much straight over from the hotel is great.
Recommended.

First time in Malia this year, me and two other female friends.
Having never been to Greece before, we were unused to the basic standard of accommodation that all hotels in the area offer. When we arrived at 6 in the morning we were abit taken aback as to how basic it was, and were a little bit worried about the accommodation.
However, as soon as the sun came up, we realised quite how lucky we were. All apartments have a sea view, and all look out onto the clean swimming pool.
It was immaculately clean, and really bright and completely suited the purpose of sleeping after a heavy night. you don’t go to Malia to stay in your room! Having spoken to so many people in Malia, we realised that our hotel was actually one of the best in the area.
The pool bar was lovely, and the staff were amazingly friendly and they dish out the free shots like its water! Dave the rave and Maria, we love you guys!
The location is perfect, 5 minutes from the main strip, but far enough away to get peace and quiet during the day if you wanted. However, if you like loud music during the day to wake you up abit, the staff are always happy to turn up the volume for your favourite tunes.
I cannot sing the praises of Malia enough.. we did not see one incident of violence, and overall we met some amazing people ad I ad the best holiday of my life. Will be going back next year and staying in the Milos Studios.
Amazing. Absolutely amazing.

Great place, great staff, surrounded by fields with a lovely view of the mountains.
Good old Cretan lifetstyle with clubbing just up the road if you like it, and a great Greek restaurant at the end of the road on the main road next to the petrol station.
Maria the owner is friendly, loves her karaoke and I definitely recommend the barbeque nights.
Try out the Spinalonga trip as it is a very eerie place and you get a good tan on the boat trip. Do try and get into the old town as there are some lovely Greek restaurants that usually cater for the locals.
Try out the Greek nightclubs as they let you and encourage you to dance on the bars.
All the locals are friendly and Maria the owner will let you know which places are good to eat and let you know places of interest. Try the go- Karting if you have never done it before, it's good fun.

This place is amazing and Milos Studios made it even better. I'm going back in 2007 without a doubt and would only stay at milos studios.
I never went in the pool that much but just the atmosphere of the place is so cool. We came in at like 7am wrecked and the bar staff/ receptionist just chilled out with us and gave us free sambucas! Definitely 10/10!! x

It was a great place to go. I only went with my mum, but by the middle of the week we had met 11 other people that we got along well with. We all went out together clubbing, went for meals and had a laugh. I would say it was for the younger people or people who are up for a laugh.
The food was quite nice and you were close to the clubbing strip. The beach was a bit further but it was a nice walk and still easy to get to.
Altogether it was a brill holiday and I'm going back to Milos Studios again.
