Absolutely fantastic! As Olympic did such a great deal, my friend & I had a studio each. We were allocated studios next door to each other, so were close, but still had our own space. There are sea views from all the apartments/studios, across Elounda bay to the island of Spinalonga. We arrived at 6am just in time for the amazing sunrise. The rooms had air conditioning (payable for reasonable fee at reception), which was a welcome relief at times. The owner manned the reception 95% of the time it was open & couldn't have been more helpful. The swimming pool was filled with salt water, which I'm not used to (apart from in the sea), but it was great, as it really helps to stop your skin burning/peeling (obviously still used sensible sun protection). There was a shaded terrace for relief from the sun if needed. The apartments/studios are set high on the slopes of the coastline, so wasn't great for my friend who sometimes had problems with it, but the 15 minute walk to Elounda centre was a lovely stroll. All the people were friendly & welcoming. Would definately re-visit, but would hire a car (1 hour drive), rather than suffer the 2 hour coach transfer from Heraklion to Elounda. Ate almost every evening at Anemomylos, right opposite the windmill on the way to town of Elounda. Wouldn't hesitate to go again.

This has a wonderful position and stunning views across the lagoon to Spina Longa, its hills and the Venetian fort...the moonlight on the water or the sun rising over that undulating ridge - no wonder we always want to come back...also excellent swimming from the paved sea`s edge..walks to and from Elounda are great, the village still possesses great charm
Kavos Bay is a lovely place to stay- simple and very comfortable, our apartment always a delight - and with excellent lighting!! Kostas our host is a great character who radiates warmth and charm..."tha se tho seentoma" ...see you later..and especially for a coffee !! Any problems are sorted at once: he could not be nicer.

Fantastic place. Wanted a quiet couples holiday and it was just that.
The road below the apartment had a fair amount of traffic on it but not that it messed with your sleep. Great apartments for people watching as many holiday makers walk to the accommodation further up the road. Magical views of the peninsula sunrise is directly in front of the complex so do not think you are going to get a lie in past 10am it's too hot.
The pool is for children only in my eyes as it is too small for a good swim. Go to the little beach by the yellow power boat you can see its 45 seconds away (and all beaches in Greece are municipal, it's the access to them that's sometimes not) if you need a cooling dip. The gentleman at reception was very helpful and the small shop was very handy when we arrived, it's 30euro a week for the air con, we never used it you acclimatize after a day.
The apartments are standard and that's all we paid for. £259 two weeks including transfers and meal, flying with eurocypria and Olympic tour operator coach transfer. The meals on the Boeing 737-800 were awful however the plane was very new. be better trying it out for yourself, olous travel is the place to change money good rates and we hired a car from Traffic car rental and they dropped it off and picked it up no charge, 10 days was 259euro about £189. Cheap and good fully comp insurance.
I really enjoyed this holiday and Elounda is a great all rounder, a good base to explore the
Elounda itself is a fantastic little town full of day trippers in the day time but that's not a problem. So many places to choose from, I could recommend a lot to do however you would east of Crete, but you need a car. When I think of it now I miss it and would recommend this area and apartments to my friends. Although be prepared for a 2 and a half hour transfer on the coach and watch out for the idiots going to Malia. Lager Louts!
