Santa Rosa Hotel

What a gem of a find, only opened in 04 so all is new and in top condition. Basically we got a S/C room but we paid a little extra for 1/2 board
The hotel with it's fair sized pool which is well laid out to give a bit of protection from the usual Lanzarote breeze, is about a 10 min walk from a nearby resort centre and beach. The snorkelling from this beach was excellent which is what we go on holiday mostly for.
The room, very spacious (lounge/kitchenette, bedroom & bathroom) was spotlessly clean and cleaned 5 times a week by the friendly staff.
The meals from the restaurant on site was to me astonishingly good, buffet style, every meal provided a wide range of top quality fare. Fish of various types - sea bass, Tuna steak, Swordfish and on and on. Meat - all very lean poultry beef, lamb, pork. Veg and salads etc. The staff in the restaurant were of the highest order with a good sense of humour and efficient.
To say I was astonished at the quality would be an understatement, especially considering the very reasonable cost of the holiday here.
The only negative point I might say is that sometimes the eggs/bacon were a bit cold in the morning and that if you were late eating on an evening, people had to wait to get in.
There is not too much in the way of entertainment on site (small bar/music) but to me this was a plus as this makes the evenings peaceful.
